I use the online version because I don't like to download software to my computer if it isn't necessary. I love the results I get when editing and the ease of uploading pdf files, images and new pages. Pros I use it for creating interactive PDF ebooks. I also use it to create forms. It's easy to use and it's free. There is a customer service that is helpful. I have used it to edit PDF files for deleting and adding pages, editing images and text, all with excellent quality. I added forms and as many text spaces as needed to create a way for people to write in the PDF files online without printing. Cons They upgraded a few years ago and actully made the software a little difficult to use for people who were used to using it a certain way. Also I felt that the quality of the tools weren't as good as they were before the update. " November 17, 2025 5.0 I've been using it for years for minor edits, adding content or just signatures, it's always been pleasant to use, and you can use it from your browser in any computer. Pros Great site for editing PDF, you can easily sign, add text, pics, or fillable space to your documents, the export process is simple and you can use it on the go. Cons The last time they updated the app they changed everything so I had to re-learn how to use and find a new approaches to do things, until I got used to it. Pros App is free to use (at least for some features) and i don't have to download extra apps. Cons The paid features are not specified on the homepage, after spending hours using the free online editor, you find out you have to pay to download and that's extremely annoying. They offer a great product for the cost associated with it. Support has never been able to help us, and it's hard to get a response, but when \[sensitive content hidden\] stepped in it was completely different. She was attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable. She was able to solve all of our concerns with expertise. Pros PDFescape has always been a great application for the cost. Amazing value. \[sensitive content hidden\] , the head of the billing department, was amazing. She was able to step in and help us with all the troubles we haven't had solved in the 6 years we've been utilizing the software. It's value is immeasurable for creating and editing my e-learning PDF files. I can also upload my images and delete the images I no longer wish to use. It has many editing functions for creating online or interactive forms, workbooks and other form information and I can also use it to convert my PDF files to a Word document. The quality is amazing. Pros PDFescape is a free software which can be used online. I use it to make perfect edits to my PDF e-book and e-course files. I can also add pages and change the covers. However what I love the best is that I use it to created forms, interactive workbooks, and quizzes for my customers and clients. The quality is amazing. Cons The latest PDFescape update changed how some of the features or elements are accomplished. Because I've used it for over 5 years, I've had to learn how to use some of the features over again. They are not as easy to use as before. Completely enough for most people. Doesn't work for large scale companies and big teams. Pros It has all the basic editing features of a PDF for a fraction of the cost of the competitors. Cons It's only local and doesn't have any collaboration options. Writer/Editor Writing and Editing Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "This is a great product for much less money than other pdf software" July 7, 2022 4.0 This software has saved me immeasurable time to edit files such as books and other lengthy documents with its pdf editing features. The cost is much lower than other editing pdf software and performs the same tasks. For instance, with books, it will edit the page numbers and any headings you may have in the document so you can have blank pages when separating the chapters as opposed to creating section breaks in Word to get rid of page numbers where you need a blank page. It is much easier and faster to use this software than going through all that in Word. It saves a lot of time for little cost. Pros I like this software the most because it performs the same tasks as more expensive software with more payment options to use it. The software loads fast on your computer and does not add other software (spyware, malware) to your computer like some other software companies add to track your usage. Cons It can be glitchy at times. They are minor though and you can work around it or resolve it by refreshing. Review Source KS Karen S. teacher Education Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "PDF Escape in Education" December 16, 2021 4.0 As an educator, it was a lifesaver to have the free version available, especially as materials had to be modified for online learning. Pros As we had to pivot to online resources with covid, PDF Escape became my go to for modifying pdf documents so they were more user friendly for my high school students. I mostly used it to modify pdfs and to add form fields so that students could more easily type in answers without having to use other software to modify an assignment that was a pdf. It was a great, free resource for me. I'm sure the paid version has even more options that would be great. Cons I wish this software also included options like reordering pages, separating pages, and combining pages into one document. There was a learning curve for sure. Not very user friendly at use but over time I have become pretty good at using this. It gets the job done.
