Pros The salary calculator is a handy tool to have around when looking for a position you've never worked in and the company reviews are insightful when applying for a new job. I don't find this a negative overall. Pros The alerts with job positions are easy to set up on your page. They come to you as regularly as you want them. Cons The alerts often contain positions that are very different than the what you've set up with key words from positions you have an interest in. Pros Employee reviews are generally of very good quality, provide complementary views and give a good picture of the organization. All SaaS, easy to use, fast, immediate results. Cons The price can be very expensive, especially when used as a secondary source of information. Consider that usually candidates come directly or through Linkedin, so Glassdoor is 2nd or 3rd choice, spending a lot of money there doesn't seem attractive. Review Source AM Anna M. Cons Salary database is hit and miss. The UX is absolutely terrible - search & filter is nearly impossible to use, dropdown for countries and cities is terrible, and the website often has issues with switching from one domain to another. The main interface is difficult to find what I am looking for. I need to click like 10 times to get to the actual screen I need. The support function was also bad. It is easy for use and browse. Also, it is organized and has a very good filtering criteria. Cons the most important con and the greatest issue in the app is that the phrases are overlapped the icons of the company's logos which makes you cannot distinguish the title of the position either to see the logo of the company in a clear way. The experience was okay overall, nothing out of the ordinary. Pros Uploading my resume was fairly easy and I was able to start looking for jobs in under 15-30minutes, which was a positive experience at that time. I enjoyed that I could always make changes on my profile and update it when needed. Good overall platform similar to Indeed. Cons Very little support in terms of building your profile. I would have like to have a bit more follow ups from Glassdoor as well. Cons The most annoying thing while using glassdoor is that it forces you to add Review/salary before viewing any review of any company, i understand that the main aim is to increase user engagement but it shouldn't be blocking user flow. Pros I used GlassDoor when I was looking into new job positions after moving out of state. It was very simple to use and had a user friendly layout. Cons I really only used it on my phone so I didn’t like to do the application process from the app. Instead I would find open positions that interested me and then do the applications from the desktop.
