Being able to quickly update FAIR to CP is really nice. Pros I like how I can bubble a print and it creates the bones for my FC, CP and PFMEA. Inspection plans are exported easily and used in our customer shop brewed system, Cons The lag when clicking between balloons. If there is a method to temporarily disable, it'd greatly improve lag. It works wonderfully. Pros I like the ease at which first articles can be performed using the software. Cons At the moment, I cannot think of any cons. The software works as it should. Pros It provides the essential tools for managing First Article Inspection reports, and data entry fields cover all necessary aerospace standards, which is helpful for compliance. I use this to create balloon drawings and inspection records as well as full FAIRs and PPAPs. Works inline with our AS9100 accreditation requirements. Cons Only issue I have ever faced is it has crashed occasionally when outputting a document from the software. I'm always sure to save as I go. This has saved me hours of work, due to the ease and simplicity when compiling full FAI's. This system is a huge time saver in comparison to carrying a fully manual first article inspection report and I would highly recommend this to anyone who isn't already using it. Pros While compiling first article inspection reports marking up and ballooning engineering drawings is an incredibly simple process. Pros I like that the modules integrate between the FAIR, Control Plan, PFMEA etc. Cons I don't like that when you fill out data the screen jumps around, you can't copy/paste (which wastes time), the PFMEA is cumbersome and doesn't work as well as I would like, and the templates are not customizable by the user - we have to pay extra every time a customer changes a document that the template outputs too. January 10, 2019 5.0 I have been able to streamline our print ballooning and dimension record making eith this software! Pros I have been using inspectionxpert for about 5 years now and I love it!! I was for a very long time ballooning prints in solidworks or in Adobe PDF. This software make ballooning so much easier!! I learned aboutnthe CMMexpert portion of it just recently and its a huge help. It saves me fro km having to type over 300 results into a 1st article form. Also their customer service is top notch and they offer as much free training as you want! This is a great tool that saves us a lot of time, and they are an AMAZING company that really does want each customer to succeed. Pros This software is quite easy to learn, very intuitive, and there are plenty of how-to guides and videos. If you find anything you can't quite figure out, one call to their customer success team will have you sorted out. Cons Setting up the export templates was somewhat time consuming, but their team provided help if needed. Reason for choosing Ideagen Quality Control It was the best fit for our needs. The translation into net-inspect could use a bit of improvement, but what it does do saves us a lot fo time and man-power. Cons The only thing that we wish this program could do is take dimensions off of a cad model and bubbled the dimensions that we would take from the model. Pros The ability to use the soft ware for all of my customers. The software is built to be very user friendly and I have found that to be true. The support staff is able to help with any questions I have and has given additional support on items that were not requested but turned out to be very helpful. Cons The cost of the SMA is a little bit high. No complaints about how it operates. Quality Control Inspector Machinery Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Inspection xpert " October 21, 2020 5.0 The customer service team is amazing they are patient and very good teachers. if something isn't going exactly how it should they really dig into the problem and try to come up with a solution. Pros Once my templets are set up I can make an inspection report quickly. Also when there is a rev change being able to compare the two drawings and it recaptures and rebubbles like features is amazing. If drawings are made in house and you can easily match the fonts it works even better. Cons What I like least is currently a problem on 10-21-2020 but I have been told that it will be added in future updates is if the font on the drawing has hollow periods it picks them up as zeros. Pros The interface is smooth and the operation is clean, i can do everything i need do with it and it easily cuts days if not weeks out of my processes saving our company a good amount of money. Cons the cmm xpert isnt as easy as id hoped it would be. i need to compile sometimes 100s of data sets from the cmm but as of my capabilities now i can only do one part at a time.
