Pros
The ease of use, the simple and fast application to capture a screenshot for reporting. Nice and quick choices of edition of the images, with the possibility to add text and highlight the section.
ShareX also includes some powerful workflow features which could be immensely useful for people who need more than just the ability to quickly capture their screen and make some quick annotations.
The hot keys/shortcuts to accessing different features is tops. And I like the fact that you can customize the hot keys to your liking.
The app is light and quick and easy to setup. I like the interface of the app and it does the screenshot and recording with great quality.
Cons
Saving videos or screenshots after capturing is done always gives an error but it is already saved, so there is no error, I think it is a bug.
At first before learning how to use the software, I had the problem of it clashing with the Windows 11 already assigned hot keys.
Since I only use it 'monthly' I do tend to forget, and it doesn't register with intuitive thinking.
User interface can be a little intimidating. Shortcuts can get mixed with other software.

"The best Free Screenshot tool "
Pros: Easy-to-use UI with a variety of capabilities such as screenshotting, screen recording, workflows, after capture tasks, and after uploading tasks. After taking screenshots, we can do a variety of things such as highlight the required sections, create a box, and mark numbers. I particularly enjoy the history area, which allows me to revisit and reedit all of my captured screenshots and GIFs. Sharing is very simple because you can simply share the URL, eliminating the need to download and share. And, to top it all off, it is an open-source product that is absolutely free.
Cons: A little laggy at times, and it crashed on me a few times. And the user interface can be improved.
"Packed with power. Surely the best free screen capture tool available"
Overall: Once I figured out how to configure and use the software properly, I was able to access all the features quickly and easily. I use the screenshot features several times a day to mark up issues and highlight certain things when I am supporting my clients. I also often use it when on Teams and Zoom meetings and I want to capture something that I want to come back to later. ShareX has more features than most people will need, but its a must-have application for absolutely anyone.Annotation options include lines, shapes, magic eraser, blur, highlight, pixelation, stickers and emojis and more.ShareX also includes some powerful workflow features which could be immensely useful for people who need more than just the ability to quickly capture their screen and make some quick annotations.
Pros: ShareX allows me to take various kinds screenshots (region, window, screen, rolling, video, gif and more) and then perform functions on them like annotation, automatic saving or uploads and archiving with workflows. It is a marvel that all these features are available for free.
Cons: Getting set up took a little bit of effort, but this is often the case with software that has as many features as ShareX has. This tool is nothing like Snipping Tool and therefore requires a little bit of learning to get the best out of it.

"Sharex: The best open source screen capture software no one is talking about"
Overall: I work as an SAP Consultant/Analyst. I have to constantly send instructions and examples to support my clients. Previously it took me quite a while to generate neat, clear and self explanatory screenshots. Sharex has made my life much easier to complete these type of tasks
Pros: With just one hot-key you can access to a myriad of choices. Make your work instructions look much more professional by using the screen capture tools. You can instantly tweak your screenshots with highlights, shapes, step counters, text and more. There is even an option to add "stickers" like emojis and other fun stuff :) It is configurable to automatically copy your screenshot into your clipboard, or store it on a local folder. You can select the region you want to capture, a window, screen, your entire monitor or monitors. On top of that, you can also record your screen for videos!
Cons: For some people, having so many options may result overwhelming.

Pros: The fast and easy way to capture screenshots which can be used in documentation and additional details for communication. Also, it is easy to organize screenshots.
Cons: I don’t have any negative comments about ShareX. It provides everything I need to perform my duties.
"ShareX, the toolkit for success"
Overall: I have used ShareX to completely record a screen with anotations that helped users do the same work that I'm doing without even dedicating my time to capacitate them, just record your screen and send, that's your live tutorial and you can start working.
Pros: I think the most impactful thing about ShareX is the entire toolkit that gives you at your disposal, you can either use capture tools, uploading to popular sharing websites, edits and annotations.
Cons: I think the hotkey settings could have a tutorial or assistant to help you set up and make it even better.
"Best PC/Laptop screen recording tool"
Overall: I use it mostly to convert words from the internet that cannot be copied.
Pros: I liked the fact that the video you capture has no markings or logos. The hot keys/shortcuts to accessing different features is tops. And I like the fact that you can customize the hot keys to your liking. My two favorite features are the one where you can resize and measure the part you want to capture or record and the fact that you can edit the image yourself. The second favourite is the feature that allows me to convert words from a screenshot into editable word document.

"The swiss army knife for quick screenshots, video recording and more"
Pros: It's the most powerful tool for quickly taking screenshots or short video recordings. With its workflows, you can configure exactly how you want to take a screenshot, whether you want to edit it in the built-in editor and then what to do next: save locally, copy to clipboard, upload to your favorite hosting site and copy the link, upload to a cloud storage service or all of the above at once! The same applies for video recording and everything can be bound to a hotkey. Additional, ShareX includes a ton of small tools such as a color picker, OCR-tool or a QR-code scanner.
Cons: With power comes - difficult configuration, at least for the more advanced tasks such as video recording.
"Quick, down and dirty"
Overall: I mentioned it above, but as a recap, it allows us to provide quick video clips found streaming in a location that doesn't allow for internet streaming.
Pros: ShareX allows me to screen capture images and video for use in our Sunday educational setting, especially for things which stream and are not available to us in our non-internet classroom environment (church basement). It's wone of the best methods (I found) to help our educators get their point across.
Cons: Knowing the right menu option to select when screen capturing or video capturing, and then ensuring it's being downloaded into the correct folder location. Since I only use it 'monthly' I do tend to forget, and it doesn't register with intuitive thinking.
"A great tool for capturing screens"
Overall: I use this software to take screen captures and recordings and it is working very well without any problems or bugs.
Pros: ShareX gives multiple options to take a screen capture like static screen, GIF, scrolling screen, and many more. Also, you can make a screen recording by choosing which screen or window you want to record. As well as it is cheap and very easy to use.
Cons: I like this software a lot and has many helpful features, but I don't like the user interface, it is bad.

Pros: The pros of using ShareX is simplicity, great functionality and high quality of the app.
Cons: ShareX provides all necessary functionalities I need. I don't have a negative experience with this app.

Overall: Necesitábamos una herramienta que permitiera facilitar las capturas de pantalla con posibilidades de realizar anotaciones, y también estandarizar los mecanismos ya que distintas personas utilizaban distintas herramientas que podían resultar por ejemplo en la captura de un gif eliminando la posibilidad de pausar y reproducir o utilizando formatos de video sin compresión como AVI, evaluamos distintas herramientas y encontramos en ShareX la combinación ideal de sencillez y potencia.
Pros: ShareX tiene todas la funcionalidad para realizar capturas de pantalla, tanto en imagen como video, con muy buenas herramientas de anotación, es extremadamente sencilla de utilizar y muy fácil de configurar al gusto del usuario tanto en temas de formatos de captura, nombre de los archivos y ubicación de almacenamiento, también tiene teclas de acceso rápido para múltiples tipos de captura (pantalla completa, área, monitor, ventana) y se pueden utilizar combinaciones similares para la misma acción en imagen y video, mi equipo de QA la utiliza todos los días para capturar las evidencias de sus pruebas y facilitar el reporte de incidencias.
Cons: Nada, es una herramienta muy completa que cubre todas nuestras necesidades.
"The best no-cost screenshot program"
Pros: ShareX is a little known open source screenshotting program that punches way above its weight. As far as I can tell it gives all of the options that more well known screenshot software provides. If you are willing to dig a little bit deeper it also allows some slight automation, such as capturing a specific area that you have defined and which doesn't conform to one of the out-of-the-box suggestions.
Cons: The UI is very powerful, but could be a little simpler. It could be offputting if you are used to other paid capture software, but once you get used to it there are no issues with defining options or navigation.
"Essential Part of my Daily Workflow"
Overall: ShareX has become a standard part of my professional and personal workflows. It is in the top 5 pieces of software I install to any new workstation.
Pros: Ease of use to manally capture or record in multiple formats and regions. Automation using hotkeys and automatically saving files means I can focus on the task at hand while still being able to document for reference without pausing.
Cons: With many features and capabilities comes a small learning curve on the configuration but once complete, you are good to go.

Pros: ShareX has many free features, you can take many screenshots types like PNG and GIF. Also, you can take video recordings easily without any effort. the most important this is that you can easily select the region of capturing like window, Rolling, or screen.

Overall: I always keep the shareX on a click of a shortcut to capture a screen or make a video quick and easy. The software is very versatile, light on your machine and can make your life quite simpler if you need to capture anything in a pinch.

Overall: One of the best and reliable screen recording apps needing minor changes.
Pros: 1. The app is free and can be used in businesses also. 2. The app is light and quick and easy to setup. 3. I like the interface of the app and it does the screenshot and recording with great quality.
Cons: 1. If one wants to record both mic and speakers, then additional code lines are required. There should be an option to select both separately. 2. There should be an option to remove abort in screen recording and include more options like pause.

Overall: Mala pésima muchos errores y soporte técnico poca ayuda
Pros: Excelente producto pero fallas muy continuas nos optó por sacarlo ya que se presentaron poca ayuda de parte de soporte
