### "Excellent standalone encoder and Perfect with After Effects"

August 13, 2022

5.0

We have Media Encoder in all our machines and all our videos are rendered through it, every few minutes. So you can say, that there is no business without it for us.

Pros

We are in animation and VFX business, and Media Encoder with After Effects form the bedrock of our whole enterprise. - Extremely HUGE list of supported formats to encode in. - Simple drag and drop interface if using standalone, and seamless integration with After Effects for rendering projects. - Scaling, watermarking and inbuilt custom formats are a great addition. - Queueing feature is great, just queue it and forget it. Also, it retains the queue after closing.

Cons

\- The one thing everyone would hate, is the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. Gone are the days of owing standalone software, you need a recurring subscription which is pretty expensive. - Takes longer to render. - Glitches when used along with Element 3D. Not always, but enough times that its pretty noticeable. - Has bugs, no matter how many updates, reinstalls or system changes are performed, they still remain. - Learning curve for new users. That is all, its a good package overall.

### "An Excellent Small Encoder"

May 10, 2022

5.0

I first thought that Media Encoder was a nag because you can encode and export videos from Premiere Pro or After Effects, but as I did more and more video projects, I recognised the value of this particular piece of software. For starters, it extends the capabilities for exporting from After Effects, or at least zeroes out whatever ignorance I have when it comes to exporting. That's a great start for sure. Beyond that however, I've often found it extremely helpful for those working in the Adobe ecosystem who may have more than one video for export. For me, I've had to export clips from shows, or multiple videos from Premiere Pro, and I could send all to Media Encoder, and allow them to export together. I'll walk away from the computer, and when I return, I have my five or six videos waiting for me. I also do a little work with social movements, and we share some of our content via whatsapp, which isn't a great place for larger video sizes. We compress our videos using Media Encoder very quickly, and can then share them. I think that the program has utility for a variety of situations, and it is worth it to have the opportunity to leverage its power in your video workflow. I recommend it!

Pros

This program makes it easy to encode your videos, whether from an Adobe video editing program, or whether you need to work with one format, to change to another, or even if you are trying to compress another video etc. It's efficient and user friendly.

Cons

I don't see anything that I don't like about the software. Meet the minimum software requirements, and then get the job done!

### "Export your videos faster."

June 1, 2022

5.0

From the very beginnings of using Adobe Premiere Pro, I did not dispense with Adobe Media Encoder, it saved a lot of time on my projects.

Pros

If you are someone like me who likes to save your time and use it in other things, then the Adobe Media Encoder program provided us with this powerful feature. Instead of waiting for the video export in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects for 30 minutes, for example, to export the video, Adobe Media Encoder exports the video Half that time, sometimes less. You can also, through Adobe Media Encoder, convert from formats Also add color effects to videos, speed up and slow down the video without the need to enter Adobe Premiere Pro. One of the most beautiful and powerful features of it, which saved me half of my time, is that I export the video and work in the program at the same time. In Adobe Premiere Pro, you need to wait for the video export to finish and then work on a second project. In Adobe Media Encoder you can do this thing in one go.

Cons

I don't see any downsides to it, but it just needs some high system requirements and specifications

### "An Essential for Video Editors"

June 21, 2022

5.0

Pros

Adobe Media Encoder is incredibly easy to use, especially in conjunction with Adobe Premiere Pro. I find it most useful when I am planning to export several long-form videos out of Premiere Pro, but do not have the time to stop down to export each video throughout the workday. When you select Export from Premiere Pro, you can choose to "Queue" your video, which will add the video export to Media Encoder's queue. You can do this with an unlimited number of exports, and at the end of the day, you can press play and allow Media Encoder to create all of your video exports overnight (with Premiere closed if you wish). This is probably my most useful video editing tool when it comes to efficiency.

Cons

The only downside about the connection between Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder is that if you have already set your queue to export in Media Encoder, and you are looking to edit something in Premiere while it is running, it will pause the export process in Media Encoder.

### "Lo standard di codifica video"

February 9, 2023

5.0

Pros

### "The encoder you use in the Adobe flow"

July 31, 2022

5.0

The best thing using Adobe Media Encoder is that it can be used as and ad-hoc encoder for media files and also as an export encoder directly from Adobe Premiere or After Effects (or even Photoshop). This way it can save you a roundtrip after you need to save/export your project to more then just one format or resolution. And that is exactly how I am using it. Sometimes I let it export directly from other application, sometimes I re-encode a file which has been already rendered. And sometimes I let it watch a folder and encode anything its being dropped into it. This is very simple. If it does not eat all the system resources or hangs.

Pros

Encoding videos can be complicated because of many formats and settings and standards. Adobe MEdia Encoder fits into the entire Adobe workflow very precisely and solves the issue of rendering a file to one or many formats and scalings. It is robust and the options are decent. Presets cover the most used formats.

Cons

It is not the fastest encoder on the planet, but gets the job done easily. Sometimes it crashes, sometimes it hangs but in the end it gets the job done since its integration with other Adobe apps.

### "A great tool for expert and beginner video editors!"

January 10, 2023

4.0

Overall, most of the features in Media Encoder (such as the extremely detailed export options and the simple video editing features) are really helpful. Although the software can be slow at times (depending on how large a file you are exporting), it is still a great tool that I think video editors of all levels (beginners and experts) can benefit from.

Pros

I used Adobe Media Encoder mainly in conjunction with another Adobe software (Adobe After Effects). I use Media Encoder to export videos created and edited in After Effects (as it is no longer possible to export videos directly from this software anymore). What I love most about the software is the fact that users can customize their video render settings to their exact liking as there are many settings to export extremely high-quality videos. I also recently found out that Media Encoder has a few simple editing tools such as time-warping and looping. These can be extremely useful for beginners who want to dabble in video editing, but don't want to deal with difficult more complex video editors. And after these videos are done being edited, they can be exported through Media Encoder itself.

Cons

The only thing that I don't like about this software is that sometimes it can be extremely slow when used in conjunction with other editing softwares (in my case, I use it with Adobe After Effects). Media Encoder tends to take a long time to open up and export the video that I have just edited in the other software (Adobe After Effects).

### "Adobe Media Encoder is Awesome!!!"

December 24, 2021

5.0

I use adobe media encoder on nearly every project and I’m thankful for how easy it makes the editing process

Pros

I love having control over the file formats and not having to hope for the best when handed several different formats, frame rates, and qualities. Adobe media encoder makes it easy to convert the footage to whatever format you need

Cons

Not everything is super into it so you do have to watch a video or two in order to get the hang of things but once you do it’s a breeze

### "Adobe Media Encoder Review: Best for Multiple Rendering!"

February 2, 2021

4.0

Media Encoder is a necessary application if you use premiere and after-effects for editing. The very fact that you can work on other projects while your files are rendering in the background is its biggest advantage and is the main reason you should have this software as a must.

Pros

1)You can work on other projects while your files are rendering in the media encoder. 2)Can render multiple files simultaneously. 3)Can render multiple files in various formats at the same time. 4)Many preset formats and options to choose from. 5)Supports all other adobe creative suite applications. 6)Can render files from different adobe programs or projects at the same time.

Cons

1)Takes more time in rendering. 2)High System requirements needed for efficiency and full use. 3)Works only with Adobe applications.

### "The importance of Media Encoder"

May 12, 2021

5.0

This application has helped me very much throughout my professional career. In my opinion it is a must have for every video editor or animator. It is something that helps a lot whenever we need a certain codec or to speed up the export process. My experience in this case is very solid and I have no complaints, other than the one I previously mentioned.

Pros

What I like the most about this software is that it implements so smoothly with the Adobe products such as: Premiere Pro and After Effects. They work perfectly together. Another aspect I truly appreciate is that the amount of codecs in which we can export projects are very good. The rendering time is very good and the UI of the app is nice.

Cons

One con that I picked up recently is that I would like for the app to work with Premiere Pro and After Effects, without the three being from the same year. Sometimes it is an inconvenience for the consumer because the Adobe Suite may be quite expensive, so it would be nice for Adobe to help out in this case because upgrading is expensive for plenty of people and that feature would be nice, at least with a deadline of sorts.

### "Still the most efficient render software"

April 7, 2023

5.0

Overall, it is a great rendering software that integrates seamlessly with Adobe After Effects, the main animation software I use.

Pros

Perhaps the best feature it has is the CUDA integration with the NVIDIA video cards, I use this for some lightning-fast renders! Simply the best!

Cons

I'd say, similar to the whole package of Adobe products, the pricing isn't really affordable, but with the Creative Cloud subscription, it's manageable.

### "A must have for anyone working with digital media"

July 16, 2021

5.0

I use it daily to quickly encode video and audio.

Pros

This was the first piece of software I purchased when I arrived at my job. The whole abode creative suite is critical to my job, but having media encoder might be my favorite of the bunch. From switching to the correct codec I need to a quick file size reduction, media encoder is a life saver.

Cons

One option I don’t love about this software is the new push with after effects to have all exports go through Media Encoder. It’s amazing but a quick export for proofing is so much easier out of AE.

### "Really Enhances Adobe Experience"

October 20, 2023

5.0

Pros

It's a versatile and powerful tool that seamlessly integrates with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, making my video production process incredibly efficient. Whether I'm rendering, optimizing, or compressing videos for my channel, Adobe Media Encoder consistently delivers top-notch results. It offers a wide range of output format options, ensuring my content is compatible with various platforms. The software is also remarkably user-friendly, with a straightforward interface that's perfect for both beginners and experienced users. Its batch processing capabilities have saved me a lot of time, allowing me to work on multiple videos simultaneously.

Cons

One drawback is that Adobe Media Encoder is not available as a standalone product and requires a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, which may be a downside for those who prefer one-time purchase options.

### "Harmonizes well with Premiere and After effects"

June 6, 2022

4.0

Pros

You can list multiple video projects in a queue and then render them in one go. As with any Adobe Creative Suit application, linking them often works smoothly.

Cons

There were also rare cases when the communication between Adobe programs with Media Encoder could not be established, but this could be fixed by restarting the program.

### "Render Multiple Files without Fear"

July 30, 2022

5.0

Using media encoder for the very first time was a great relieve to me, superfast and the most amazing thing is its integration abilities with other Adobe Product. Thanks to the Adobe Team for a great product.

Pros

Media encoder renders videos very fast and I'm able to get multiple video projects ready without any fear of the software crushing or force shutting. The integration of media encoder and other Adobe video creating software makes working very easy and fast. The drag and drop feature also makes it best for working fast.

Cons

If there could be some way of pointing out errors in the video being rendered, the specific timeline/frame where the error can be found rather than the video pausing and not being able to render that would have been a great addition to users

### "Media Encoder the needed standard."

May 11, 2021

4.0

Overall I love this product. It is vital to my business and I use this on a regular. Adobe makes amazing products and this if you are a videographer or editor this is a necessary tool.

Pros

Media encoder is fairly easy to use. I love that I can queue projects from both After Effects and Premiere Pro. Its very helpful with organizing and rendering my projects. Honestly easier then rendering within those apps. Once I learned to use media encoder, I can't see myself not using it.

Cons

I feel that the interface could be more user friendly. At first this app is very intimating due to the way it looks. It looks harder to use then it is.

### "Excellent creator video sowftware"

May 6, 2021

5.0

The first time I used one of the programs I had to see a tutorial, it was really easy to use the programs, but I was learning with tutorials and on practice.

Pros

You can create a lot of personal and work digital content, as well as the wide variety of effects and functions that you can use. Besides that it has several programs that help you with different aspects, you can export within the programs of the same Adobe family.

Cons

By having many options you can saturate yourself. When it comes to creating work content, it becomes tedious that you have to use several programs from the Adobe family instead of just one.

### "Can export almost anything, especially when I have trouble inside Premiere Pro"

February 16, 2021

5.0

Very good, it is able to export everything I need to do, supports new CODECs and file types.

Pros

Love that I can queue up multiple videos and set them to export all together so I don't have to slow down my machine to work on other projects. It also can sometimes export projects that I had trouble exporting directly from Adobe Premiere Pro.

Cons

It's expert level stuff, so sometimes I can accidently forget to change an export setting and have to redo the export. That's more a user issue than anything, but it's something to always be mindful of.

### "Industry Standard & Necessary"

April 8, 2021

5.0

If you're a professional creative, you're going to use Media Encoder.

Pros

In 2021, Adobe is still king and if you need any sort of video or motion graphics project you're going to use Media Encoder. I find it easy to use and it makes exporting my files a breeze. Since I use the Creative Cloud and Dropbox in conjunction with this app, I can export and access files anywhere.

Cons

Media Encoder is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud, so you must have a subscription to use. This can be cost-prohibitive to freelancers or those just starting out.
