I recommend it completely for beginners, sellers on a budget and sellers who want a clean, simple design for their products. Pros I like the clean look and easy setup. I especially like the fast integration with Thrive Themes' Thrive Apprentice Wordpress Course plugin. Sendowl comes with free trials and set durations for subscriptions, upsells, bump offers and there's the drip-selling feature if you don't want to sell everything at once. The pre-selling feature is also something I haven't seen in other software. There are also cart abandonment notifications to the customer. Lastly, I think the $9/mth basic plan is well worth it, and starts a beginner right off. The other plans—Standard Plan - $15 per month, Premium Plan – $24 per month, Business Plan – $39 per month—at this time of writing—are also very well worth it. Cons I think SendOwl is great, but the look and feel of the checkout is a little too simple for me. It's too business-looking. It just doesn't scream "this is a truly different, fun product that outshines all others" which is the feel I want my clients to have. June 28, 2022 5.0 I used and owl to deliver my digital products to my customers. Send owl does an excellent job in letting you select how many downloads your customers can do. Any issues and their customer service was quick to handle them. It makes for a very hands-off digital product delivery. Great for those looking for a passive income. Pros I love cinderella! It's the perfect tool for any small business or blogger who is on a budget. Since the fees are low you can maximize your profit margins while still delivering a great product to your customers. It's easy to integrate into my WordPress website and has a very professional landing page for customers to view pictures and product descriptions. It really is the best low cost solution compared to Shopify or wix. Cons It does use PayPal for its payment processing. I did have to set up a PayPal account but it was free and easy. So it's really not a complaint. Reason for choosing SendOwl Price and look of professionalism. I couldn't get past that so sent a \`please explain\` email to support. \[sensitive content hidden\](SendOwl) then closed my account. SendOwl believes they are correctly priced in the market at $159 / USD month. This is just their delusion. I was able to set up the exact same tech stack for $0 using Stripe & Cloudflare with a small time investment. Save your money and sanity and skip SendOwl for a self hosted solution or alternate platform. Pros It worked as a digital vendor and was a solution that saved the user a small amount of time for a reasonable monthly fee. Cons Deceitful and possibly fraudulent business practices. They change contract billing rates without consent. The business lured small business owners into free and cheap monthly plans and then increased the price of those plans by 1000%+ and moved free users to $39 USD / month. If you're unable to obtain a refund from them you are protected for 120 days to charge back the scam if you paid with a Visa card. Review Source SB Stefani B. " November 4, 2021 4.0 Pros I liked the seamless interface when uploading a product to sell online, also the usability on the customer side when purchasing. It has a lot of add-ons as well which will make you easily impressed! And hopefully sell more products with :) Cons The only thing I did not like was the API attached to it, my developer had some difficulties with it and the price of it. These were the two biggest deterrents. Alternatives considered [ThriveCart](https://www.capterra.com/p/234835/ThriveCart/) Reason for choosing SendOwl I actually chose ThriveCart ultimately, I made the switch really just due to price. I tried it more than 10 times and waited untill I got This is taking longer than usual. While we sort this, you can continue your SendOwl account setup. So I dont know if the app is buggy and to make it worse no reply from support no live chat with humans either. Pros I like send owl for the packages it offered for my checkout integration. The fact that they host my files for me and deliver to the buyer solves so many problem for me. Cons The interface is great and everything but i prefer to create stripe keys and enter it myself to innitiate a connection. Pros I like that you can use SendOwl with an existing site. If you have a WordPress website, you just add the buy button to your site. It's simple and quick to set up. Cons I've used SendOwl since about 2014. Several years ago, they made very frequent improvements and enhancements and the product got better constantly. I couldn't analyze my conversions. They basically gave me cut-and-paste replies. Then when I did move my digital business to WIX and suspended my account with them, they immediately cut off my past customers from downloading the material they paid for. Just another added layer of bad customer service! Pros Ease of use. Good reporting. It's Priced OK. Cons It's challenging to incorporate Google Analytics and Facebook Pixels. First, they won't provide you with tech support. Also, when you decide to move your service to another platform, they immediately cut off your past customers from getting the content they paid for. The customization was awesome too and that made it feel like an extension of my website. Cons I couldn't host videos on SendOwl, meaning students had to download the entire course as a large zip file. It detracted from the learning experience students want when purchasing an online course. Pros Easy to use, perfect for small companies in the beginning because it's also pretty cheap. We used SendOwl to sell our ebook and it allowed us to put a watermark on the ebook with the email of the buyer. Cons The interface looks so old and it lacks a lot of options. It's bit limited when your company starts to grow.
