This is a nice simple alternative to Slack with extra encryption features and also extra bugs. I like to be able to use it on mobile, but it blacking out can get frustrating. Also, at least in our company, employees retain access to private chats even after leaving the company, which can create security issues in of its own.

Pros

It doesn't require extensive onboarding, so it's easy to set it up for new employees. It's quite easy to browse the chat history and find attachments that were shared. This point might be dubious, but it's sometimes useful to have access to the entire chat history, ever prior to joining them, in order to find relevant information.

Cons

This app can be quite buggy and was even nicknamed "abandonware" at our company at some point. Once I updated the system on my Mac, and Keybase stopped supporting the files that were stored in it for extra security, so we had to store them locally instead. I don't like that it often gets laggy and unresponsive, especially on mobile, where it often goes to black screen when you switch between different apps, and then you have to refresh it.

For some people this platform can be useful for using in that environment, but isn't great for everything and there are better option out there

Posso parlare della parte relativa a Zoom, che è quella che utilizzo e conosco meglio. Come detto, è un software abbastanza intuitivo ed è possibile scambiare file, messaggi e informazioni.. In periodo di pandemia è stato molto utile anche per fare piccoli meeting online, senza la necessità di muoverci fisicamente (date anche le difficoltà).

Pros

Parlando della parte Zoom, posso dire che è piuttosto efficiente dal lato video.. Spesso lo utilizzo in alternativa a Teams, per sostenere colloqui online. Si possono anche scambiare messaggi veloci o piccoli file all'interno della chat, oltre a fare riunioni online con più persone.

Cons

Certe volte noto una lentezza nel caricare il software, inconveniente comune anche al suo concorrente Microsoft Teams. Nella versione gratuita si hanno spesso limiti di tempo (sui 40-45 minuti alla volta)

For people who are skeptical about security, especially entrepreneurs, Keybase is a fantastic tool.

Pros

I am always pleased with how simple it is to share files with Keybase. I heartily endorse it.

Cons

The only issue I have with Keybase is that there is no comment moderation; from my experience, updates can take a ridiculously long time.
