### "Single app for different Language"

April 25, 2023

5.0

The overall experience was awesome, If anyone looking to learn new language this is the best application or platform which I recommend.

Pros

The good feature which is available was various language which can be explored and the certification for that languages.

Cons

The least I like was the voice pronunciation which was little bit needs to be improved to understand for beginner. At first I tried to learn German language I felt somewhat difficult to understand the pronunciation.

### "Duolingo a great app for learning a language on the go."

May 9, 2022

5.0

overall there is almost nothing to complain about for this app, yes it has paid services and some adds. but they are not straight in your face like other apps. In the long run I have used this app for over 3 years and I still use it .

Pros

\- a very easy to use app, download and sign up. - lots of languages to choose from - keeps track of progress and offers rewards for streaks

Cons

\- can get repetitive ion the end - the voices isn't all that great but does the job - paid services are in there and some adds to, but that's rather minor

### "Porque si y porque no de Duolingo"

July 4, 2023

4.0

Pros

### "My own experience."

March 29, 2024

5.0

It's completely free. Platform has a clean layout and straightforward interface, easy to use. As it looks a lot like a game, it is quite fun and almost addictive. It has motivation tools, such as the possibility of sharing results on Facebook, in addition to the rewards received.

Pros

What I like most about the Duolingo app is that the lessons are like a phase. This way it doesn't get boring to learn.

Cons

The only thing I like least is that there's no way to interact with anyone, but other than that, I think it's a good way to learn.

Pros

Super easy to use and fun. Only 15 minutes a day. You need to stay motivated.

Cons

I wasn't really dedicated. There is nothing really wrong with it. I wanted to learn a language to talk to with family but wasn't going to around them a ton.

### "Duolingo makes learning new languages easy"

August 6, 2021

5.0

I live and work in an area where Spanish is spoken fluently. When I moved here, I didn't know a word of Spanish. Duolingo allowed me to gain enough confidence very quickly to have some basic conversations with those who speak only Spanish.

Pros

The thing I love most about Duolingo is that it allows barriers to be broken down between people of different cultures. It makes it easy to understand different languages and also some similarities.

Cons

I really can't think of a thing that I don't like about it. It's so easy to use and to see your progress.

### "One of the most fun ways to learn or refresh a language."

March 11, 2022

5.0

Overall, it is my favorite language learning app. Everyone who I've introduced it to has enjoyed it, if not committed to using it to maintain language familiarity.

Pros

The smartphone app is really intuitive and efficient. The software is fun, and if you're not careful you might spend more time on it than you planned.

Cons

I struggle after several years of using the app. I think there could be better advanced learning algorithms and also some new learning games.

### "the best app to learn a new language."

November 13, 2021

5.0

With duolingo I was able to learn two new languages, keep my focus on my studies and all for free, which for me made the difference.

Pros

I love duolingo in general since my first access, until today I still use it and recommend it to friends and family, because thanks to it I learned 2 new languages.

Cons

Over time, many advertisements have been added to the application, which makes the experience less comfortable, but I understand that it is necessary to keep education free.

### "My Dualingo Review"

May 23, 2022

5.0

I started using it in college preparatory class. Later, this program provided a very good opportunity for me to improve my language during the pandemic period.

Pros

Dualingo was very useful for me to learn and practice English first. It is a very comfortable application. There are also fun games available.

Cons

I wish there was a chat application in this program.

### "In my opinion? this is THE BEST LANGUAGE LEARNING APP EVER! "

April 17, 2023

5.0

Personally, I have never used such a great language-learning app, everything here is amazing. Easy interface, cheerful colors, and entertaining games that make you not bored while learning, the app is like a game, unlike all other learning apps.

Pros

The features of the app are really so much! Perhaps the most important for me is its fun interface, ease of handling, attractive colors, and fun games while learning!

Cons

More encouragement and motivation while learning, I really like it :)Other than that, the app is amazing

You can learn a language at A1-A2-B1 and B-2 level if you practice regularly even on free version.

Pros

Easy to use, forcing to learn by routine practices, teaching a language by practicing on listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Cons

The price could be more a little bit cheaper to purchase.

### "Greatest language app to discover or build a level on any languages!"

August 20, 2021

5.0

I use it daily! Whatt I love the most is that it's a complete learning experience : I can read, hear and talk the language. I have to translate in my language or express myself in the foreign langage. It's the key to be able to fully make progress to me

Pros

I use it daily, each morning! I love the way the learning journey is built. Usually it can be hard to have enough usefull vocabulary hen learning by ourselves a language because we start with the easy words. The app builds a strong path to be able to speak on many subjects , for holidays in the region, work, ..

Cons

The only small point I do not really like about the app, is the recommendation of which lesson to continue. Sometimes I feel ready with level 1 on a topic and do not want to spend more time on the notion and only jump on the next

### "A Wonderful First Step"

February 13, 2023

3.0

My overall experience has been satisfactory. I would recommend this app to anyone who does not know where to begin. However, those seeking more in-depth instruction should turn to other methods.

Pros

There are several features of Duolingo which I like. First, the gamification aspect is top-notch. It is designed to hook users for the purpose of learning a language. I also like how intuitive it is and the learner portal quality. Duolingo also has the feature to connect with friends around the world. This provides accountability.

Cons

I think there should be less focus on grammar and more focus on intuitively learning the language. Linguistic Anthropologists would agree that memorizing grammar is not the best step for language learning. There should be an emphasis on cultural slang/dialects. There should also be a focus on learning vocabulary, which is useful first. Then, the grammar can be introduced.

### "The best I have used do far."

December 14, 2022

5.0

It has helped me a lot. especially when I am going to countries to work but do not speak their language. I have never been stranded. Language is not a barrier with Duolingo.

Pros

If it is Language, then it is Duolingo. Even if you can't pay at the beginning, you have the option to use a free version which gives you value and zeal to pay to get more.

Cons

I don't think anything applies to me here because it is all the best.

### "Duolingo the enjoyable way to learn "

February 3, 2022

5.0

This is a great app. It’s fun, easy and practical. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to refresh or even learn a new language entirely.

Pros

The ease of use and progress tracking was phenomenal. Also the variety of languages is great. Overall, I enjoyed how easy and fun it was to learn a language.

Cons

The overall appearance and color scheme was very basic. I think they could make the visual appeal more attractive

### "An inexpensive way to learn a new language"

March 27, 2022

4.0

For almost two years, I have been studying Irish with Duolingo. To supplement this, I listen to Irish radio online, and try to recognize as many words as I can. While I could only carry on a very basic conversation, my knowledge of the language is improving, despite only being about to devote about 15 minutes a day to it. I like the fact that I get a weekly progress report, which compares the past week to the previous week. I also like that Duolingo can send me reminders if I've forgotten to do my lesson each day.

Pros

I like the selection of language courses available, which includes endangered languages like Navajo and Hawaiian.

Cons

With some languages, most notably for me, Irish, it is not possible to slow down the spoken samples. Some of them can be very difficult for a learner to understand, as they are spoken at normal conversational speed.

### "A great way to learn a language!"

July 12, 2022

5.0

It's been a good way to ensure I keep practicing every day.

Pros

This is a very user-friendly and fun way to begin learning a language. Of course, it cannot entirely replace either a language class or practicing speaking with others fluent in your target language, but it is a good way to begin to learn some vocabulary and grammar so that you can begin speaking confidently. It is fun to use, and provides good positive feedback. It also incentivises you to practice daily, which is critical for learning a language.

Cons

The 'hearts' system where points are taken away for each mistake can be annoying, and you either have to pay a monthly subscription to get rid of it, or pay with diamonds (points given for successful lessons or purchased) to keep the lesson going if you run out completely during a lesson. Given it's a free service I guess this is a minor problem. Some people find the cartoon characters (Duo and friends) annoying, but this depends on your preferences I guess.

### "Gamification works great"

July 4, 2023

5.0

Definitely worth paying

Pros

I don't know how, but i'm nearing the 100 daily streak. I think it's mostly to the gamification of learning, one quick lesson before going to sleep or at any empty 5 minutes in my day.

Cons

I would like to have some classical learning too. I can say o write a lot of things in Russian, but not the numbers from 1 to 10!

### "Learning can be fun"

March 25, 2024

5.0

Very pleasant, the first platform that allowed me to get back to learning languages, I can't thank them enough!

Pros

I always found learning languages to be quite the chore, exams, tests and whatnot, for someone with an actual phobia of exams (long story, horrible experience in school), this is the only platform that allowed me to learn a language and not feel like I'm learning anything, the gamification is on a whole new level, Thank you Duolingo team for allowing me to learn and actually enjoy learning!

Cons

Most users abuse the leaderboard, this is not much of a problem, all one has to do is turn their account private and learn in peace.

### "Duolingo: an efficient language learning software"

October 5, 2021

3.0

my experience with Duolingo has been all right. It gave me the opportunity to learn a new language without paying for language classes which is good.

Pros

I like Duolingo because it is a great language learning tool. I used to learn to improve my French language when I was studying at the university. I like how it is free and so easy to use. I don't have to spend any money on language classes due to this app. I also love its gaming format. It makes learning French and Spanish fun for me without the pressure of learning in a class. I also like its compatibility with mobile devices. I open it on my android phone and take my lessons for the day irrespective of my location. Also, its daily reminders help me stay committed to learning and not forget my learning tasks.

Cons

While Duolingo is a great language learning app, I find the pop-up ads a nuisance. Another thing I dislike about it is that it lacks the most important element for learning a language, which is; face to face interaction. That is crucial for learning your target language. Also, I would not recommend Duolingo if you want to advance to a native level in your target language. I have finished all my French lessons on the app. Although my French improved tremendously, I am still far from being on the level of a native French speaker.

### "A Pleasant Language App"

April 23, 2023

4.0

A balanced language application that certainly help language learn develop the first strokes of any language. It really builds the first pillars and thus develop your speaking, listening and writing. Though it doesn't look at your pronunciation abilities, it enriches your vocabulary in few days.

Pros

Duolingo has an interactive way to teach you any language of your choice thanks to its dedicated line of topics that range from basic and elementary to intermediate and advanced.

Cons

Actually, Duolingo is a vocabulary builder app, which pays less attention to grammar, spelling and mainly reading. More than that, it is somehow less formative compared to the paid version.
