This is the software we use for our clients and it meets exactly to the requirements of our clients. We implement it in three different sites of the pharmaceutical industry and it works excellent to tranfer data and develop communication in between the machines. Highly recommended Cons At first there were configurations problems with the software, however with the help of the customer care support team we solve it. Their support has been un-matched by any other manufacture that I have worked with. They have always responded very quickly to questions. Most times pointing to write-ups and/or videos on their website that address the question at hand. In the infrequent occurrence that I have discovered a problem with the software itself, they have provided an easy to install patch to rectify the issue in less than a day. You don’t get that from any other software provider. Pros The product offering is solid and very scalable. You can start out inexpensively with just collecting your data and archiving it in an open data base format. Add additional features as you deem necessary. Their tag pricing is flexible and reasonable in cost. You can connect unlimited clients to the server, no additional charge to access your data. They have a good set of fast device drivers for the major PLCs, along with connection to OPC and OPC UA data servers. There is an alarm notification feature for texting, emailing, and voice messaging. Cons Once upon a time it was difficult to find information on their website Knowledge Base. They have since improved the menu structure for the Knowledge Base. This was a big improvement. Technical support was readily available, incredibly knowledgeable, polite and followed up to make sure everything was working properly. I had a couple of calls, and interacted with different support techs. Each was fantastic but more importantly the handoff between them was seamless. Resolution was fast and the tech's provided training so I learned while getting help. FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SUPPORT> Pros The suite is extremely comprehensive. It provides easy preconfigured access to all standard automation systems as well as great IOT support. Our application required Modbus, Bacnet, MQTT, and standard HTTP and API access. OAS did them all, right out of the box. There are a number of wizards that make set up and use of the software fast and simple. It was by far the easiest to get up and running productively. Cons Documentation was a bit behind the released versions, but they made it up with great youtube videos. Best to start with the videos than read the written docs. I've worked in the industry for over 30 years and being able to discuss issues/feature request with the development team is unheard of. OAS is my go to SCADA software. Pros OAS allows my company to create custom SCADA applications for the Water/Waste Water Industries. OAS allows us to create amazing graphics using VB.NET and Blend that are the best in the industry. Reporting is very easy to implement which most SCADA packages struggle to provide. OAS device drivers all work flawlessly so additional 3rd party drivers are not required. Cons None really.
