August 13, 2025 4.0 Overall, CamScanner is an easy app to use if you have documents you would like to store electronically. They are some features that are premium features that I believe could be offered to basic users, but overall, I would recommend this app to anyone needing to scan documents in. Pros It is easy to scan documents with your phone and send them to yourself via email or storing them in Google Drive. Additionally, CamScanner does a great job detecting what parts on the scan are documents and what is not. Cons Scanning as a pdf with text that is highlightable is part of a premium subscription. September 9, 2022 5.0 As a civil engineer need to handle too many documents , some times need to keep copy of official documents for future use. But in field its very hard get good resolution by images. Camscanner solve this problem in no time, i am able to take scan very easily , in different format also. I can save the document in my devices or send to my superior in a click. No need to get training to operate. Love the app. Pros Best mobile scanner software available now. In a few click i am able to take good quality scan by my device, edit files and send to my team member also very easy. For the last 2 year, i get tons of scan by this software, it never disappointed me. Document management is pretty decent here. Editing option is very much effective, even in free version i was able to use without any hassel, only watermark .if i get pro deal that problem also solved. Cons In free option, shows too many ads. Pros It is much easier to use than a physical copier/scanner, especially for oddly sized things like receipts for expense reimbursement, etc. I have never had issues with a document being unreadable or oriented wrong, like I have with traditional copy/scan machines. I also appreciate the options for sharing documents; notably, I can email scanned documents directly to a recipient within the app. Best of all, it is free for basic use (with some paid features). This includes pictures, reports and other records. I also like how its scan function analyses and correctly matches with the shape of the thing I'm scanning. Cons Ads sometimes appear on the screen every now and again which can be annoying. I can wait so this is not a glaring issue and I understand that the company needs monetization from somewhere. It provides ease to people like me who needs quality scanned documents, it easily detects your photos and crops them, but the one I like most is its Magic Color filter, because it bolds and makes text from photos more readable than they actually do. Pros The most I like about this software is the fact that the ease through which I could scan my required stuff and the way the unwanted part on the images captured through the app gets eliminated and how the scanning is soo well done to obtain the enhanced end product which is the final scanned product. In case of a student account or a paid subscription, there's no watermark as well on the scanned documents and the app is absolutely free for use.
