Overall, they offer a good product that's easy enough to use, and things were great until customer service stopped replying to inquiries. This coincides with them being moved under the Deluxe umbrella earlier this year (2025).

Pros

I inherited iATS and have used it for over six years, mostly without issue. Even when there was an issue they spent as much time as it took to resolve the problem. But now they simply aren't replying to customer service inquiries.

Cons

The lack of customer service, which coincides with Deluxe taking over in 2025, is a real problem. Prior to that customer service was really on the ball. Now there's no reply despite writing to them about the same topic four times. It makes sense that mergers or whatever has happened can slow some things down, but I'm talking crickets, with the oddest request to rate their customer service despite not having received service.

It has been okay so far, but would want the fraud clean up between sumac and iATS to be cleaner. It felt very removed and like our organization was being passed back and forth stating it was the other sides problem. It was not clear and took much longer than necessary to rectify.

Pros

iATS was linked to us through Sumac as our payment processor. They have been really helpful this year in elevating our brand and even included us on their internal calendar as well as in linked in posts. It was a pleasure to know that an organization such as this is not faceless, but really cares about the little non profits out there!

Cons

We had a fraud breach in August and there was a lot of back and forth between us and sumac and iATS. It was not cleared up easily.

Reasons for choosing iATS

It was what Sumac offered our organization.
