Pros

I love the easiness of use of PM. The video library for self-tutorials and then being able to schedule a one-on-one walk-through with a tech. The chat function with either a tech or customer service when there is a question for a kicked-back claim or an issue with the system, is fantastic.

Cons

I really wish that PM would connect with the testing sites so that you could import the online graded tests into the system. Currently you/we can upload the information as a document into the patients' file.

### "OA PM Keeps your money moving quickly at an affordable price."

I really like OA/PM and have been promoting it to small provider practices for at least the past 20 years. I have always had positive customer support services, and it is one of the easiest systems to train end user to use.

Pros

Customer support, simplicity, no contract, affordability, and fast processing and claim turnaround. When CHC crashed and nearly burned down the healthcare industry, OA/PM was our saving grace because it kept our cash flowing. Would like to assign 4.5 stars, but not an option.

Cons

The way the excel reports download requiring a number of irritating excel functions to allow one to sort and filter reports to pinpoint indices we'd like to look at, and also some of the limited filter options on some of the reports. Reporting (and a few other items: no efax, auto posting a bit cumbersome) is the only reason this is 4 stars and not 5.

fast, easy, simple to use, cost efficient, no contract, quick set up including EDI set up - one of the absolute fastest EDI systems to set up (probably because OA cuts out the middleman because they are a capable and easy to work with clearinghouse).

Overall good, but the problem I mentioned above is very frustrating and time consuming. Staff sometimes less helpful than other times.

Pros

Overall it is very easy to use. It makes billing quick and easy. I appreciate the fact that secondary insurances are billed automatically.

Cons

Several times a payment has shown up in my checking account, but the info does not show up on the accounting page, so I can’t identify which patient to credit the payment to.

Practice mate has been a reliable, easy, and efficient way to manage my practice. It zeros in on everything that a therapist would need.

Pros

Very very easy to use and efficient. There is a minimal learning curve, but once you do learn you realize how much is available to work with.

Cons

I haven't had a negative experience thus far and I've used this for quite a few years. I think the only thing I like least about practice mate is when the password expires there's no warning and if you're somewhere and can't remember your password you're in trouble.

Since not tech savvy, getting used to the program initially was a challenge; had great experience with tech support who got me through learning it!

Pros

The ease of entering information and generating bills/claims. All in one platform for your medical practice and medical billing needs.

Cons

It could be more UB04-friendly. I must manually enter missing information under Claims/Billing, like the revenue codes that coincide with the CPT code.

### "Great software for my solo private practice"

I've been using it for over 12 years. It was especially nice when I was starting out in a solo private practice as a therapist and didn't want to have to pay someone to do my billing. It's so easy to use I've continued billing on my own.

Pros

It is easy to use and if I need assistance it is easy to reach an actual person to help with questions or walk me through something new.

Cons

For a couple months there seemed to be fairly frequent connectivity problems, but that has died down.

Very good it's got great performance and I like the interface. Customer service is really good at least in the past when I've used it.

Pros

Simple and easy to use, inexpensive, and ability to be able to track notes if I wish to do so. I like practicemate.

Cons

I would like to see an easier way to track payments from insurance companies and what is oustanding for payments, and the ability to resubmit a claim. Being able to look up a claim with an insurance would be helpful.

### "Simply The Best - Better Than All The Rest"

Began using PM 15 years ago, when our server-based software presented too many risks to stability and backups. Never looked back.

Pros

It is extremely user friendly. No software platform carries more value for the money and scaled efficiencies to make life easy in a complicated industry. It truly removes the mind-reeling complex formats of other platforms.

Cons

I really can't offer any one thing that is outstanding. Not even at its inception did we encounter issues that were insurmountable.

Excellent. The billing system consistently works well and any issues are easily resolved. Staff are always highly professional, competent, and friendly.

Pros

I use Practice Mate for all my billing needs & reconciliation of insurance payments. On the rare occasion that an unresolved claim occurs, staff have been extremely helpful in identifying the cause in otder to resubmit.

Cons

Initially, it was cumbersome to learn to use Practice Mate because of it's intricacy, but once fully understood, the process was easy & effective

Fantastic. NO complaints whatsoever! Excellent product, service, value, and customer support. I am so glad I made the change from using an external billing company!

Pros

Once I learned how to utilize the software, it has been super easy and fast for setting up patients and submitting claims, as well as posting payments from patients and insurance companies. Excellent customer support. A great value!

Cons

I set it up in 2017 and recall it taking quite a bit of time to do so. I think this would be the case with any such software.

It has been the best! The support is awesome as well. Very low wait times most of the time to speak to someone and when you email, they are prompt about getting back to you. That is very much appreciated when you are busy and don't have time to wait.

Pros

Practice mate is so user friendly. I have tried to work with others and this by far is the easiest and the fact that it is an all in one is the best.

Cons

I do still have glitch issues. Sometimes the system with create a second claim or freezes up but not often.

While customer service is easily reached and readily available, some bugs have taken months ro resolve necessitating extra work. Outside of that the program is great for my needs.

Pros

It is simple, intuitive, and reasonably priced, while being robust enough for my requirements. There is an excellent amount of carriers represented in the ERA functionality as well.

Cons

Some bugs take an inordinately long time to resolve and some easy functions are not provided. The lack of 2FA is a concern.

Our overall experience with Practice Mate has been excellent. The special onboarding assistance was absolutely key. I cannot say enough to let you know how valuable \[sensitive content hidden\] was to our smooth transition. Also, we switched from SPSI to OfficeAlly but that company/product was not listed as a choice in that section of the survey so I responded "I don't know." SPSI decided to close down their business so we had to select a new clearinghouse for claims. We choose OfficeAlly and are VERY happy with our decision.

Pros

Billing ease of use and value for the money. Premier (not sure what the actual name is) Onboarding was extremely helpful Transition was very smooth

Cons

Inability to look up payments by claims (rather than Patient Visits) Number of clicks required to update the number of units billed.

Overall my experience with Practice Mate has been good. I would recommend to someone who wants to ease into using EHR software.

Pros

I like that it has a user friendly interface. It also is integrated with Service Mate which I use on a regular basis.

Cons

Practice Mate can only be used while being connected to the internet. There is no offline setting. It can be an issue when the wifi connection goes down.

I've been using it 3 years and it's great. It's pretty intuitive. I still use the classic mode, so I don't know if there's a significant change.

It's really to fill in saved information and send! I appreciate when I make an error it sends it back fast.

Cons

I wished I knew I could have gotten ERA's back to it. I wished it was set up easier so I could have been more efficient with billing.

Bottom line for my billing company is the overhead to use Practice Mate is very fair priced. Productivity is the best EHR/Billing platform for less time managing daily task.

Pros

Streamlining daily visits and claims created is fast and easy with patient visit templates for repeat patients where coding is the same procedure each visit. Accounting & entering payments with the ability to be able to easily adjust and delete payments is very fast and not frustrating.

Cons

Entering payments manually can be confusing with added steps to choose payment to, payment from, payment method. The older version was a lot easier to add payments as it was more simplified. But some of my staff love the new version of adding payments. It's a preference of the individual user.

### "Practice Mate for the solo practic"

Great access from any internet connected device. Cost effective office management going on 15 years.

Pros

The scheduling and billing/bookkeeping in one enabled me to split from a sublease and start solo practice with confidence 15 years ago. I came from downloaded software to accessible web-based management system.

Cons

Import of CSV file went well. Some of the pages can be improved to compliment the workflow. Put save buttons everywhere so I don't have to scroll to the bottom every time. Date entry (DOB, injury date etc.) is inconsistent. The cursor automatically advances from month to date but often needs a Tab to go to year. Put another Superbill button all the way up under the charges. Any editing requires a full scroll to the bottom to find it.
