Podbean Reviews
Pros
Good for starting a podcast show, Nice and Reliable.
As a beginner just starting out with podcasting, Podbean is really useful. The feature set is pretty great on the free plan.
Overall, I'm very happy with Podbean. As a beginner ,it has plenty of features on the free plan and I imagine that if/when I need more features, the paid plans will be more than suitable.
The thing i like the most about podbean is that it's very easy to use and i can find weekly updates on my favorite music and podcasts by my favorite dj's.
Cons
The phone app of this software is not always up to date, it sometimes gives me some problems.
They have since stopped replying to my emails because they got caught lying.
You can't publish to Spotify without having a paid account but considering the rest of the feature set, I think this is a minor inconvenience.
I guess my only "complaint" would be that I wasn't inspired to explore Podbean outside of the one podcast I came to listen to. I'd attribute this more to user error (me!) than the platform.
"Podbean "
Overall: It's a perfect experience overall from the beginning till now.
Pros: Podbean is an absolute wonder to our podcast hosting. We just started our Podcast "The Maven Show" and it's been amazing so far.
Cons: It's great and amazing so far and has no cons as per us.
"Podbean give my podcast power"
Overall: Podbean allows you 2 hours of free podcast time to try out podcasting and only $9 a month / $108 annual plan is pretty good.
Pros: I enjoy the third party integration. I am able to setup Mailchimp, Auphonic, and Resonate immediately after I upload a episode. I am glad of all the streaming service provider that are at my disposal. They even have tutorials on how to set them up. I am starting to use the live streaming program for my movie viewing .
Cons: Since Anchor has landed, it is a hard sell to new customers that don't see podcast as a long process to use. But I understand that I still have ownership of my episode when I move podcast hosting sites. I do wish that patreon was a free addon to the basic plan.
"Terrible Service"
Overall: Seems to be a strategic process for financial retention. I am extremely disappointed in Podbean.
Pros: It was fine for distribution when it was needed.
Cons: The customer service is terrible. We're never notified of charges annually, when we couldn't access our account to close it we couldn't cancel it easily, then once we accessed it the process for cancellation was INCREDIBLY and intentionally convoluted, and then no refund was issued despite 5 emails sent to follow it up when we were advised this would be resolved.
"Podbean. A good starting point Not sure about things after that"
Overall: It was promising until I found out I can't schedule a launch. I get the free package should be limited but that's a pretty big limitation
Pros: Easy to use and free program for hosting. If we grow our podcast to the point where we can pay a monthly subscription I'll be checking back in on them
Cons: Can't schedule podcast launches ahead of time
"Great for listening to my friends Podcast"
Pros: It is easy to use and has high quality pod casts
Cons: Nothing. The program works well and it is easy to use.
