I wish someone in their product team would pay attention. such a shame.please be aware of this, lots of other alternatives that are less expensive and without their predatory behavior, check out Bonjoro for example. I use it with my Chrome because it is super convenient and fulfills all of the requirements from editing a screenshot to sharing it with clients and coworkers. It also allows me to download and save my screenshots on a local host. All in all it is the best of its kind. Pros The thing that makes it awesome is its feature-loaded extension. It is a browser-based screenshot taker and screen recorder. It has multiple options when it comes to taking screenshots, as we can take a full page screenshot by just clicking on a button and it keeps scrolling down; we don't need to scroll either, we can take screenshots of a portion of a webpage, or we can capture full-screen. Another cool feature is we get to see an inbuilt screenshot editor and annotator. We can easily edit and share it with anyone as it stores everything in the cloud. We can record screens and this is also stored in the cloud. So, no need to download anything; it makes life super easy for those whose job requires them to take a lot of screenshots and screen recordings. Cons It is indeed awesome when we are talking about taking screenshots and using it with our browser but it is not so awesome when it comes to annotating or editing screen recordings and using it with software other than a web browser. This tool is not available in the form of an application so that the audience can use it as their default screenshot taker on their Windows or Mac machines. It also has limitations with screen recording editing. They are evolving and sooner or later these issues will be fixed. I use it every day at work, and it provides — for free — all the functionality that I'm looking for. I also wish that it would capture the code inspector when I have that open, because sometimes I'd like to highlight aspects of the code that need to change. Pros I use the free version, which provides a lot of functionality out of the box. It's easy to use, and allows for different screen capture options: visible part, full page, or selected area. Once I've captured the screen, I can add text notations, arrows, and shapes to highlight changes I want to make or communicate to others. Then I can download the image or just copy it to the clipboard. Very convenient and professional. Cons The tool to type text could be enhanced. It currently doesn't allow you to resize the text area, so you have to manually hit "enter" to go to a new line. Both installing and using it are easy. Three years into using the software, I've only recently noticed the addition of new features that I've liked. Overall, Awesome Screenshot has been effective in helping people solve issues. Most of the time, I needed to capture the entirety or a section of websites in order to share them with several individuals without first downloading them to a local computer or folder. Pros The most encouraging aspect of this extension is that we can capture whatever that is playing on the screen, with or without audio, whenever we need to. We may capture the errors for record and clarification, which is really beneficial when it comes to testing and other things. The freedom that can be attained by using this programme is on another level because the extension may be used to snap screenshots of any screen we choose. I couldn't finish any of my documents without this application, and it's useful if we need to capture screenshots, audio, or the screen itself. Cons This tool is very enticing due to its simplicity. The ability to send screenshots and recordings to colleagues who are also using this programme via sharing features might be handy. Nevertheless, I don't need that. Pros As an educational content creator I work with many different types of files that contain my own creations. Often for collaboration or marketing purposes it is convenient to be able to take a quick shot of parts of a file rather than dismantling it or hunting for the pieces in all of my stored items. I ran into restrictions and complications with certain file types with every other screenshot software I have used. Not Awesome Screenshot. Any content I work with I can easily grab what I need with the various snipping tools. A real game changer is the "Copy" option that pops up immediately after taking a screenshot. Rather than download everything you snip, you can easily copy and paste without any data usage. Cons One drawback is that Awesome Screenshot does not have a scrolling screenshot tool that I am aware of. I have other software I use for when I need that specific tool. Also, I have found their video options in general to be lackluster. They certainly get the basics of recording usable video done and allow for very basic editing, but with so many other, richer options out there in this department it is rare that I turn to Awesome Screenshot for video.
