I hated giving out my personal number for my business to strangers so this makes me feel better. Cons I haven't used it that long to see any cons. It allows to you transfer calls within the Voice System. I also enjoy having the voice attendant feature. Cons Sometimes the calls drop, especially if there is a weak internet connection. Like that it has texting feature as well. Pros Easy to set up initially. Easy to add employee access through the google business hub. Imported our current business number very easily. Easy to set up working hours and add voicemail. Cons Could have option for multiple voicemails for working hours and off hours. Could have call routing options to set up to ring different devices. Having 2 lines on one phone can get very confusing from time to time and it's honestly easier to just open another phone line with your service provider. Pros Business Number Separate voicemail Organization Cons Sometimes it lags a bit, it tends to be spotty, the announcement that it's a google voice number is unnecessary in my opinion. It is very easy to use and transfer the audio to my computer. Pros I like that you are able to sign up and start using your number immediately, and that it doesn't display or give out your "real" number, even if you set up call forwarding. I use this service for listener call ins, and privacy is very important to me. Cons What I like least is the amount of emails the service sends out. When you don't check your number at least every other day, you get spam quality emails flooding your inbox about your number and the amount of messages you have. Review Source HF Hussain F. I use it over my mobile phone based voicemail service and I've done so for years. I like that you can address it from any device, computer, and even through your email. It also does a decent job of transcribing your voicemail messages, which is great when you can't play and listen to a message. Cons It is sometimes tricky to setup for first time use. I needed a way to separate personal and professional on one device, and this was exactly the tool. So easy to set up and use; I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a second (or possibly first) phone number and messaging box. Pros Google Voice is incredibly easy to use. Within minutes of downloading the app, it was set up and I was messaging and calling my contacts. Since I prefer not to give out my personal number to clients, this was a phenomenal, simple option for allowing clients to reach me outside of hours without clogging my main line and inbox. When I get a message or a call, it immediately show up on my phone as a message/call through Google Voice, so I know it is business related. This has allowed me to be more efficient and responsive while maintaining a separation from my personal life and contact information. It is so easy to use! A very clean, clear, intuitive design. Cons I really cannot think of anything I don't like. It would be nice if there were some customization options, but this isn't necessary. I transferred my personal phone number to Google Voice so that I didn't lose it and it allows my calls to that number come through my work from. I paid for the initial phone number transfer but no reoccurring charges to answers calls at all. Cons The problem is Google Hangouts basically does the same thing. It becomes redundant when you log in to either account because text messages to your personal number show in both Voice and Hangouts. If Google can find a way to make better distinctions between those two services, they could justify having both. Otherwise, it seems pointless to use both. Review Source sB selen B. I intened to continue using the service so long as the quality sustains. Pros It has been great to be able to have a seprate line to filter work calls and contact through my phone. I appreciate that it keeps things seperate. Cons I tend to get randome calls from people trying to reach other people than me. Not sure if this is because the number has been recycled so many times or what else the casue has been.
