CSku makes hard things easy and allows fo proper project tracking. The CSku community is also another huge positive. Every interaction I've had with the CSku team has been overwhelmingly positive whether in person or virtual. Pros Commonsku provides an efficient CRM for the Promotional Products industry. CSku eliminates many of the traditional challenges when utilizing a CRM for this industry. Promo is a niche industry with many moving parts and CSku makes it easy to stay organized from the beginning to the end of a project. Cons The shops are not fully thought through in my opinion. The Company Stores lack optionality and flexibility. Marketing Shops have become cost inefficient for their use case. Pop Up Shops are a tremendous value to the client but the tiered pricing that CSku uses isn't as approachable in most use cases. Pop Ups could also use a bit more optionality but that isn't that much of an issue. Sales team is the one who uses the most features when quoting or adding products so easy for them. Pros We can manage all clients, estimates, files and items at the same time and place. Perfect for big to small businesses. At first you can feel lost with the learning curve for the software and the amount of things into, but its pretty easy to manage. Cons From a designers perspective, there are some things that needs work on the files managing, you cant zoom into files, or sort throughout documents with a lot of pages. I learn new things about it frequently through the webinars. It's nice to have something to refer back to. Pros I like the overview feature. It lets me see all interactions with a particular customer no matter what department it is. It saves me time by putting all relevant info in one place. Cons I would like the in hands date box on the overview page and the sales order page to be able to show if the job is FIRM or not. I know it shows on the shipping tab, but it would be more helpful for me to be able to see it in the other spots as well. Pros That it helps to streamline business operations. Commonsku is constantly working to implement newer technologies to make things easier, such as AI and virtuals. They listen to feedback from clients on new ideas and concerns. Cons Pricier for solo distributorships - have to purchase 2 licenses even though I need just one. Like being able to use connected+ suppliers to make sure that I am not missing info. But on the flip side, I can't add additional info since I am locked into only the info they ask for. Their team is always helpful, responsive, and willing to educate both me and my team on the platform and all of its features. Honestly, we would not have been able to grow our business to its current size without Commonsku. It has also made onboarding and training much easier. The more team members we teach, the faster they learn, which makes the process more efficient and enjoyable for everyone. We truly love Commonsku and look forward to continuing to work with them for many years to come. Pros CommonSKU is by far the most advanced and comprehensive software available for the promotional products industry. What truly sets it apart is the ability to manage nearly every part of our business in one centralized system. Instead of constantly switching between multiple platforms, our team can handle almost everything through CommonSKU and Gmail. That simplicity has made a huge difference in how efficiently we operate. The platform is also incredibly easy for new team members to learn, which has made training and onboarding much smoother. CommonSKU has played a major role in helping us grow our business, serve larger clients, and build the company we have today. We truly could not imagine running our business without it. Cons The only challenge for us has been the different access levels. Some of the tools we would benefit from are available only on the Enterprise plan, which can be a significant investment for a smaller distributor. Commonsku is also very intuitive and easy to use from an employee-standpoint Cons Some of the financial reports aren't as robust as I'd like them to be. It helps me stay on track with daily work, and the dashboard is a game-changer for quickly seeing what I need to do for the day and what’s already in progress. It also helps me keep track of important details like reorders and daily tasks, which saves time and keeps things running smoothly. The platform is pretty easy to use once you get used to it. Customer support is also really good and always helpful when I need assistance. Overall, it’s a simple and efficient tool that makes my work a lot easier. Pros In Commonsku, you can keep everything organized in one place, which honestly makes things way less stressful day to day. It’s a lot easier to manage projects, orders, clients, and supplier information without having to jump between different systems or spreadsheets. I also like how it helps you keep track of the small but important details, like potential reorders and other reminders that you might forget otherwise. Another thing I really appreciate is their customer support. They’re actually very helpful and respond quickly when you need help, which makes a big difference when you’re stuck or trying to fix something fast. Cons So far, what I like least about Commonsku is when I try to add a run charge to a presentation. Since the charge isn’t high, it doesn’t always let you apply it properly per quantity, which gets a bit annoying when you’re trying to keep everything accurate. Also, if you accidentally click “tax exempt,” it becomes really difficult to go back and add taxes later to the project. Connected suppliers, a lifeline to ASI, and the ability to connect Zapier to make the experience a little more custom are necessary. Arguably, the community that Commonsku has built of their members is equally as valuable. This is a complex industry, and having other peers willing to offer advice simply for being part of the Commonsku family speaks volumes about their reputation. This shows up best in the forums, where they have provided a great space to ask and receive help from others. Pros I have been a Commonsku user for nearly a decade. The promotional product industry is one of the most complicated, high touch-point sales process, with multi-step supply chain logistics. Commonsku tools allow us to move quickly for quoting and keep our customers involved throughout the order process. The addition of supplier relationships and negotiated pricing has been extremely beneficial for our overall margins. They are constantly improving the tech to stay on the cutting edge of how the industry is advancing. With vendor products at the ready and the ability to sync records with quickbooks, I'm not sure there is a better option out there. Plus, their brand and staff are very fun. Pros Adding product directly instead of manually using commonsku's integrations with SAGE is incredibly valuable and time saving. Cons I do wish commonsku had a better way to map with GL's in Quickbooks and canot wait for the vendor credits addition to be live and working. Customer credit balances' would also be valuable. Cons Impossible to do anything on mobile currently which really hampers my productivity, especially when working remotely or on the go. And I wish there was an option to have a 'light' or even 'read only' membership option within our team. We'd love to have more visibility, but the user cost is so high. Pros User-friendly interface to create Sales orders, Presentations and generating invoices. Daily active project reports is all in one place and reduces error of missing an active project updates. Also like the feature where I can mark it as a "Problem". The project overview us really helpful to post quick updates that stays there for the project lifecycle and easily accessible. Cons Purchase orders are a little tricky to me where i have to constantly look for the best way to enter the information. I don't create POs frequently and that could be the reason but it is a bit time-consuming. When reviewing the monthly sales target reports for the projects - the list shows all active projects and fail to identify the deposit invoices. My advice to anyone looking to use this tool is to use it with purpose. Keep client notes and use it daily and share them with your team. It's my accountability partner. Pros First off, I would like to say that I have been a CommonSKU user for 6+ years. I find it to be a great tool for collaboration for all aspects of our team. I am in sales and business development. My operations team can go into any order and see where we are in at in the sales cycle. CommonSKU also plays a large part of keeping my notes and orders all in one place and leverage it daily for follow ups and prospecting new clients and orders for existing clients. Cons We are a member of Promo EQP. I would like to see a filter for buying group memberships integrated into the search. I currently use Sage for my product searches, because the functionality is baked into the system. I would like to see that option in CommonSKU. Pros I love how CommonSku integrates so many things into the platform and make the whole ordering process easy. There are so many different moving pieces in our industry and CommonSku takes different parts and puts in together in a clear, concise, and easy way to manage orders. I am able to save so much time with creating presentations and making orders within the platform compared to what I was having to do before. CommonSku also seems to be constantly updating and adding features and is changing with the industry. The support and help has been great as well.
