### "Gran gestor de contraseñas"

December 29, 2022

5.0

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Bitwarden

Comparé con otros productos y por el precio que tenía era el software de gestión de contraseñas que más características tiene.Además tienes una licencia gratuita que también es bastante buena.

### "Open source password management that works everywhere"

March 25, 2022

5.0

Secures our password usage within the company, allowing us to securely share credentials in appropriate cases. Also encourages users to better secure they're accounts.

Pros

Password management without the commercial question marks that other tools entail. Solid functionality and active development.

Cons

Difficult to work with multiple accounts. They're working on this - the desktop client currently supports this, but the browser extensions do not.

### "Bewertung des Programmes Bitwarden"

January 8, 2024

5.0

### "Lifesaver and just the best out there."

July 7, 2022

5.0

It's been a long time since I have been using Bitwarden and recommend it to my team/clients everyone because it's actually very useful and a product with high quality. just love it.

Pros

The best part is its Open Source and I trust Open source projects a lot and easily get attached to them. The autofill feature, password generation based on parameters, and the ability to store more than just login passwords but also cards, Identities are just Awesome!

Cons

I wouldn't say it is a con but there's room for improvement in its android application however it works excellent still.

Reason for choosing Bitwarden

The reason is quite simple: Bitwarden is Open Source and is much more trustworthy than any other.

### "Password sicure in un posto sicuro gratis"

August 17, 2023

5.0

### "Store your passwords in a safe place"

February 9, 2024

5.0

The best app for keeping your passwords safe. I have never had a single problem with it

Pros

I like that even the free plan offers a lot of features and you do not have to upgrade to the paid one, unless you have more specific needs. The free plan allow you to store your passwords, create folders to keep them organised and also it supports autofill so you don’t even have to open the app

Cons

I can’t find anything bad about it, maybe the fact that it’s not completely free

### "An excellent password manager."

May 21, 2023

5.0

Pros

Simple to use, and can manage ID documents and payment info as well as passwords. The browser extension makes it easy to implement and create unique passwords for every service I use.

Cons

I wish they allowed file uploads in the secure notes section for free accounts so I don't have to type out my recovery codes each time.

### "Bitwarden is both very capable and reasonably priced"

February 19, 2021

5.0

Since moving to Bitwarden I've been very pleased with the experience. Importing from the old password manager product was quick and seamless. I was up and running in no time with a U2F hardware key as a second authentication factor. The little touches like adding custom fields and additional URIs to a login are great.

Pros

One standout feature for me is the ability to use things like base domain and regular expresions to match login URIs. With logins you can also add custom fields to be filled - particularly useful for something like an AWS login, where you need to provide an account ID as well as the typical username and password. The password generator also supports passphrases which is another great addition. Granular controls on password policies and minimum

Cons

The way attachments are handled needs a rethink. Creating and saving a note before editing it in order to add a file isn't a nice experience. A new category alongside notes would improve this. I feel the interface could do with some modernisation but that's obviously subjective. Overall it does feel like an efficient product.

The time it took LastPass support to even come back to me on a query ruled them out of the process. 1Password were a close alternative choice but the more competitive pricing offered by BitWarden won out.

### "Great password management tool!"

October 7, 2021

5.0

I was a bit scared at first to use this password management tool as I was very happy with the previous one but so far it has been great. Importing all the password took just a minute and everything was there. There is a bit of adjustment but once you get the hang of it, there is no going back.

Pros

The fact that Bitwarden has open-source code and is very clear about their tool and what they are doing. The free option is enough for most people but even the paid version is very cheap for what it offers you. The phone app is great and very easy to use!

Cons

Compared to some other password managers, Bitwarden doesn't always recognize when a new password is created and therefore doesn't offer to save it automatically.

### "Your First Choice of Password Managers"

May 3, 2022

4.0

Easy to use and very less subscription fee. Free users are able to sync across multiple platforms and don't have restrictions on device limitations. High value of money.

Pros

Bitwarden is a highly reliable encrypted password manager. Its organization function allows you to share specific passwords across your team members, which extended team collaboration. The Premium version also supports embedded 2FA, so it helps you to log into any 2FA enables sites even faster.

Cons

Autosave password on browsers is not as smart as Lastpass.

### "I don't know why you'd use anything else?"

November 17, 2022

5.0

Pros

For a start it "just works" and that's a baseline for any software I use. It works on my desktop, laptop (both Apple) and my phone (Android). It uses biometrics on the devices that have it. Oh, and it's free. Really hard to find a reason not to love it!

Cons

Really can't think of anything? I use it all day, every day. It's part of my workflow. I've been using password managers for over a decade (at least) and paid for many different ones. But now I don't have to. Thanks Bitwarden team!

We downgraded our Zoho plan and Zoho's separate pricing for Zoho Vault is a joke. One user is free. But if I wanted to pay for a second user, we lost the one free user! So I looked for an alternative and found it!

### "Sharing and self-hosting, at a winning price point"

October 7, 2020

5.0

After using Keepass for years, the need to share customer credentials in case of the "hit-by-a-bus" scenario led me to search for a solution. Bitwarden had the self-host and open source features I sought. Have been running a BW server in Docker for over a year, and most of my customers now have read-only access to their subset of my password database.

Pros

Bitwarden has been audited for code security. The pricing model is very fair and affordable by almost anyone. And you can self-host if you have the need to keep all your data internal. Passwords can be organized into folders, and shared as collections with privileges set by user. You can store credit cards as well. It has an extension or app for every major platform, and auto-fills logins on web pages and in phone apps. It also supports 2FA.

Cons

Setting up users to share collections is a little complicated. It could use a little work on user management - admin should be able to reset user passwords.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Bitwarden

BW has a third-party version written in Rust, that can be set up in a docker container easily. Self-hosting that image for privacy, and the collection sharing met my needs.

### "Bitwarden for keeping your passwords safe"

May 4, 2022

5.0

Pros

Bitwarden is an easy to use Password Manager. It generates secure passwords to be used during logins online and offline. It also offers mobile application and browsers extensions. While on a browser, the auto complete feature is very useful, since it identifies the website and the login form and automatically add username and password.

Cons

For mobile devices it has difficult to auto complete the login forms for when using a browser apps like Chrome. This is due to Android limitations but directly impacts on the user experience. In these cases it is common to copy passwords using the clipboard, which is not ideal, since other apps can read the content of it.

### "Best password manager "

April 17, 2022

5.0

Pros

This is the best password manager out there. I've used so many trying to find one that syncs across multiple devices, auto detects and fills/saves passwords, and has an inbuilt password generator. This is it. And it's amazing to see you get so much with the free version. There are some out there claiming to be the best but this is simple, intuitive, and easy to use. Very secure as well.

Cons

### "A great free password manager"

July 8, 2021

5.0

This software has an import process that works very well. If you already have logins and passwords for other services, it's very easy to import and organize them without much difficulty. It is also possible to organize all your passwords in folders, facilitating future consultations.

Pros

The free version of this software is very good, as it allows saving passwords directly in the browser and automatically syncing them to the Android phone. It is also possible to add small notes, bank credentials or any other information in text mode easily.

Cons

On some sites, this software does not automatically save the creation of a new login and password, and you have to add it manually. In some situations he wants to re-save a login and password that were previously added. It does not have a password resend option, but it does have the master password hint option.

### "Best free password manager"

October 14, 2022

4.0

Absolutely love Bitwarden! Previously I used KeePass, but that requires a third party app to use on mobile. After KeePass I used LastPass. Loved LastPass until they turned on their users and removed multi-device type support from the free version.

Pros

Obviously, number one is that it is free and supports both mobile devices and desktop devices. Second is that it is open source. I trust open source more than proprietary software.

Cons

It doesn't always auto-fill. On web sites that have a popup for login it doesn't work. Sharing an entry requires moving it to a shared folder instead of sharing from where it is in the vault.
