Pros It is both integrated and open source. I like the send feature because it makes it possible to send files securely without being watched. It is cross-platform software, so it can be used with all other devices. I appreciate the ability to easily and securely create and use passwords and identities. The migration process from LastPass was seamless and there only a few features that I miss here. Cons It's not bad, but I can't make the Android app work as well as LastPass did. The autofill and autosave doesn't work as expected, but in 80% of the cases it's good enough and in these 20% situations the copy + paste solves the problem. Pros Despite its young age, it is very easy to use and set up. It has learned from its ancestors/rivals aiming to a very simple interface and a lot of functionalities. Cons Being very young, it has sometimes some issues, like when it didn't recognized a password change on some websites. Luckily is updated very frequently. " May 31, 2021 5.0 I've been a LastPass user for a long time, and honestly, I was in a comfort zone and have never searched for an alternative, but since they put some limitations on the free account I found BitWarden and I'm pretty glad about that! It's perfect! I use it every single day and it helps me a lot! It's for sure the best (at least free) password manager! Highly recommend! Pros BitWarden has everything you need in a password manager! It's easy to use and straightforward. I've been a user of another application for a long time, but I'm glad I found BitWarden because it's perfect! The browser extension works great and the mobile app do what it's supposed to do. Highly recommend! Cons I would recommend some improvements on the mobile app UI/UX. It do what is supposed to do, but I think a better UI would give BitWarden some extra points. May 31, 2022 5.0 A coworker mentioned Bitwarden to me about a year ago when i was looking at other password management applications and told me he like this one. Since then ive been using Bitwarden to encrypt all of my passwords and its made my internet surfing a much safer experience. Pros Bitwarden is Absolutely great when it comes to Password management as well as password encryption. One of my favorite things ive gotten recently and a must have for anyone wanting a safer experience on the internet. Cons This application lacks a downside. Helped to manage my passwords along many devices. Pros The best thing for me was to have all my passwords at one place. Don't need to remember or recover them. Cons There are some drawbacks. When i log in in the new device, i always have to chose region. It is not bolded or clearly visible, so when entering password often get message "bad password". I've gotten to interface with some of their devs and they seem like a great bunch trying to make a great product. Other than an initial learning curve of integrating a proper password manager into my networked life, it's one of those things I kind of forget that I'm even using. Cons Security key on mobile is still "soon". Growing pains means difficulty prioritizing feature requests with a smaller team. Some edge cases can result in surprises, but nothing I couldn't fix with history. Biggest complaint is around prompting to save or update credentials. Seems like many websites don't follow conventions or standards and Bitwarden does not have as comprehensive of exceptions as some alternatives. Pros We are using this across a large organisation that is growing fast. Passwords can be grouped by sections of the company and access granted accordingly so it's not just one big password log. I find it exceptionally helpful when there are systems that I only need access to once a month and don't want to save it in my browser passwords. Cons To be honest, no issues with this particular software outside of ensuring that all people in the organisation add in the shared passwords and keep them updated. It's only as good as the users. Pros Bitwarden has a clear and easy to navigate interface. It enables easy access to passwords without distracting from higher priority tasks. Its simplicity is its strength. Cons I regularly have problems updating to the next version using the update prompts within the software. For this reason, I download updates directly from the website. Reason for choosing Bitwarden I was surprised that a free password manager offered simplicity and clarity over a paid product. The learning curve for Bitwarden was easy, independent checks confirm its secure, and it integrates well into my browser. Cons I wish the Bitwarden business model charge some small fee for the entry tier of service. It seems like they offer too much for free, which is a concern for continued operation. Pros If you have not been using a password manager till now, then you are missing so much on security and usability. And Bitwarden is maybe the best one of them. Free, open-source, and with the ability to create passwords, easily auto-complete them and group them. Really you can't go wrong with this software. Cons There are a few times that the auto-completion of passwords does not work automatically (you need to manually click on the password from the icon) and sometimes on the phone, the app is not running and so you need to open it before it proposes you to fill the password.
