Even though I'm not currently using it, it still works (at least) way better than many out there. Pros BackupBuddy offers some fantastic backup solutions like:- Easy backup and restoration which allows me to create full backups of my WordPress websites including files like databases, themes, plugins, and custom uploads with just a few clicks.- Timetable backups enable me to automatically schedule backups to ensure that my website data is regularly backed up without manual intervention.- Progressive backup which includes backing up new data completely different from the previous ones. I like this feature because it eliminates unnecessary storage consumption.- It offers adaptable remote storage options like SFTP, Dropbox, and Google Drive that I use on a daily basis Cons BackupBuddy would have been excellent if :- It was cheap and affordable like updraftPlus- It was easy to learn and adapt to.- it could backup my data in real-time without the need for any manual inspection or lookup- There were prepaid support resources like documentation or articles to help users work independently and effectively even though the support service is active - but nothing guarantees that they will keep this momentum going.- it was compatible with all server configurations. With that said, it hasn't aged well, and they've never really found a way around the fact that it doesn't work with some hosts. Unfortunately, there are quite a few competitors out there now that work with EVERY host, backup in half the time, stall less while backing up, and don't require a password-protected file to restore your website. They're also a bit less expensive. 5 years ago I would have sung from the rooftops that this software was your option, but now I'd have to tell you that it's still a perfectly fine option, but not the best in class. Pros Automatic backup schedules are a great way to "set it and forget it". The included storage is a great bonus, and the ability to send it to a Dropbox or Google Drive is invaluable. Cons The restore feature is a mess, it doesn't work on all hosts, it requires you to keep a PHP file on hand and the download for a large site can take a bit longer than is ideal. A lot of times when you're moving a site from one server to another, you also get some issues with the URL's on the new server that have to be fixed manually. Pros It's packed with features! You can send to a variety of destinations of which I used Dropbox for storing all my backups. Cons It can be hard to setup and it often fails on less capable hosts. My WordPress website is backed up every day using this plugin. I like how simple and easy it is to use. I receive daily backups of my website thanks to the plugin. Several times already, this software has helped me recover my website after a server crash. Cons I'm a Cyberpanel user and once I had low storage on my server. backupbuddy tried to backup my wordpress then push it to Google Drive. Due to my server being full, my cyberpanel crashed. The only way I was able to log into cyberpanel admin was by manually deleting those files via ssh. It would be great if backupbuddy calculates the required space first, then creates a backup of the website. It's easy to use, and is super affordable. The customer service is excellent and they respond quickly with all my questions or concerns about their product. I've used a number of wordpress plugins for my website backup. From time to time, I've experienced data loss with others, but since I switched to Backupbuddy, I haven't had any problems. Cons I'm totally satisfied with the program. Just a suggestion to the team, please make a step by step youtube video on how to setup the plugin. Now integrated into site security we have a backup agent almost as good as UpdraftPlus, including migrations. Pros We rely heavily on iThemes for the login and security part of the site. For this we use it on several sites. In the backup part we only use the basic backup sent by email, it is practical and convenient. Cons In the backup part we had some problems in tests, depending on the complexity of the database or the type of source and destination server (example, mysql variations), it ended up not working always generate/restore. But the real problem is the price, there are equally good and cheaper options.
