I worry about the scalability of this due to not as many plugins being available as Wordpress. Wordpress will remain my choice of CMS for larger projects. Pros The interface is simplified and not overly complicated. As a graphics designer and supervisor for many web dev projects, I have seen this CMS used for sites that do not have a complicated URL structure. In my experience, I have seen the CMS used effectively for 20-30 page sites. Cons The unavailablity of many pre-made plugins means, a complicated project can depend on hard-coding and dev time which may not be ideal or affordable for clients. A few glitches every now and again but still better than some CMSs like Umbraco. Pros Silverstripe is a good CMS when it works. The UX is straightforward and the preview window when making any changes is useful to see how your page will look before you publish it. Fairly fast and reliable which is great. Cons We have been battling a rather annoying issue with images where the CMS crashes when we try to edit any image attributes like Alt Text. This is not a custom coded feature - something that came out of the box. This has slowed down a few of our SEO actions which is not ideal. Some features are hidden away inside menus which is not great. Also - the images on a page cannot be edited from the page/content menu - one has to go into the media/uploads section to do this which is somewhat clunky.
