They constantly called and harassed us over a bill that was already being paid on time each month via ACH. Despite timely payments, they repeatedly acted as though the account was delinquent. The overall experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Between the lack of communication, ongoing billing issues, and constant collection-style calls over payments that had already been made, I would not recommend their services. Pros The overall email protection services themselves worked as expected, and I was generally satisfied with the actual product. However, the quality of the product could not overcome the ongoing customer service and billing issues. Cons The customer service and billing practices have been awful. When we initially established email service, there were numerous problems, and no one seemed willing to take urgent action to correct them. We experienced the loss of multiple emails due to their incompetence, which created significant disruption for our business operations. In addition, managers are never available, and despite repeated requests, no manager has ever returned a phone call. To make matters worse, service was disconnected without notice after I sent an email expressing frustration about the ongoing issues. That type of response to legitimate customer concerns is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. Pros I love how this program monitors my email and let's me know when suspicious activity has been quarantined. I can then see the emails which have been sent to the side to view them and determine if they are spam and harmful. Typically this program is on point and knows when something is harmful. Pros Ease of use, ease of setting up. Good customer support, so easy to use with Microsoft Outlook. My clients use this software and it was nice to be able to send and receive what I needed so efficiently and secure. The security and encryption is so important in my line of work and Zix takes this seriously and works hard to make sure this is not violated. Cons The cost of the software was out of my budget for a 2 person office. For years their software was reasonably priced and then for some reason they too a huge price increase and I could never get a valid answer on why. Pros Zixmail is easy to use and simple. It doesn't have a bunch of frills or options, but you don't really need any when it comes to sending encrypted emails. Cons It is separate from Outlook, so slightly less convenient than using Virtru which is integrated into Outlook already.
