I just saved over a thousand dollars! My tech agent showed me how to upgrade my software and helped me make room on my Mac. I went from about 5 GB of space to 175 GB, and my mic-2014 Mac is running almost like a new one! Cons I don't enjoy all the software pop-ups, but I am going to hop on a chat (free to all users) to see how I can get those to stop. Obviously, the thing I like best is its multipurposeness. Granted, I don’t use all cleaning and optimizing features of the app, but I like the fact that they are there in case I need them. Pros I enjoy MacKeeper’s real time antivirus. It just runs in the background keeping my Mac safe from all those god-awful viruses and cybercriminals and does not affect my Mac performance. In my line of work, I often need to bypass geo-restrictions to access content not available in my country. It’s the reason why I use MacKeeper’s built-in VPN. The Find and Fix feature is also of great help since I cannot be bothered to manually check every nook and cranny of my Mac every time it decides to slow down. Maybe it’s just my thing but I’d rather make a few clicks and be done with it. So I like that the feature is there and allows me to address a slew of security and performance issues without a bother. For what’s it’s worth, I also like the pristine design. I can get quickly around it without resorting to Youtube tutorials and whatnot. And last but not least, the StopAd feature is a real savior. It helped me to boot the ads - blech! - and enjoy an uninterrupted browsing experience. Cons My only complaint is that some VPN servers available on MacKeeper can really be faster. Sometimes, I have to try a few servers to find one with the lowest ping. Good design, quite intuitive — had no problems learning how to use it at all. You can either fix your Mac’s issues with the all-in-one scan or click around its features to use a specific one. My colleagues and I work remotely, so I find it extremely helpful to have a VPN tool integrated into MacKeeper. And it doesn’t slow down my Mac or internet connection. Pros I really like the Find & Fix feature. Perfect if you have neither time nor desire to run all of the scans individually. Just a few clicks — and all the items are fixed. Another perk is that the antivirus scan has this real-time monitoring, so that the threat is instantly detected and blocked. What’s more is that you can scan the USBs for viruses with it. So, I always keep VPN and antivirus protection on the background, just to be sure my computer is secured and not tracked. On both of my laptops. Cons No complaints overall. The only thing that might bug you is the notifications sent by the app. This is distracting especially when having Zoom conferences and sharing the screen.
