Pros

Ease of use is immaculately low, while impact is immaculately high. Saves our service desk crew an immense amount of time, and our administrators severe headaches with printer configurations.

Cons

### "Easy for End-Users, CPA Compatibility with Kyocera Could be Better"

February 13, 2025

4.0

Nice features and overall a decent product, but wish compatibility with Kyocera copiers was better, as well as the communication with support on issues.

Pros

Easy to install printers on end-user machines, with a self-service option. It also makes it easy for end-users to find the copier in their location easily by installing directly from a map of the building they are in.

Cons

CPA clients do not work well with our Kyocera copiers. We use both TASKalfa and Ecosys models, and have had many issues after Vasion started to update the CPA client used. No issues with our Konica Minolta copier though. Working with support was great initially, but eventually stalled out and after numerous prompts to continue troubleshooting, was told copiers were no longer supported by Vasion, even though they still appear on the supported list. Again, support was great initially, but over time, became less enthusiastic about helping and started to "ghost" us.

We have a mix of devices, including some from Apple. An update from Apple was released that caused issues with Papercut and we were tired of the constant troubleshooting with Apple products, so switched to Vasion specifically for the better compatibility with Apple products.

### "Great potential, not delivered."

November 7, 2024

2.0

Great potential, not delivered. Disappointing technical support.

Pros

The Saas has the potential to be exactly as good as described. Unfortunately into our second year as a customer we have not seen the promise come to fruition.

Cons

We've been struggling with consistent operation for the last 8 months. Tier 1 support reads from scripts and is a overall delay to resolution. This week printing was offline and the earliest "real" support meeting we could get was a week away.

### "The best of all I reviewed"

February 12, 2025

5.0

The deployment and support teams at Vasion Print (previously known as Printer Logic) were wonderful. They thoroughly answered all of our questions and provided guidance to make the process efficient.

Pros

Allows the deployment of centrally managed printers, without the need of a Windows Print Server. Printers can be automatically set to deploy to workstations, depending on location, or hostname masks.

Cons

There is a learning curve when transitioning to this type of deployment, versus the older Windows Printer Server method.

### "Great Tool and All issues gone after the move"

February 7, 2025

4.0

Since we moved to Vasion Print, it has been awesome. Before the switch, we had a lot of issues and downtime with printing with the previous provider. Once we made the move to Vasion Print, all those problems and issues disappeared. It has been very stable with no issues.

Pros

Features and support from engineers ensure that any bugs or known issues are resolved within a matter of days. Response time from support and documentation on the website, as well as documentation for implementation, was easy to find. Great printing website.

Cons

Having a copy option within the PrinterLogic app and a guest copying feature within the application.

### "Highly recommend!! "

November 14, 2024

5.0

Overall, my experience with Vasion Print has been really positive. It’s made managing our printing a lot easier and more efficient. The platform is user-friendly, so once everything was set up, it was pretty simple to track printing usage, reduce waste, and keep costs down. I especially like how it helps us print securely and gives employees more control over their own print jobs without needing IT support. While the setup had a few bumps, once we got everything rolling, it was smooth sailing. Vasion Print has definitely made our print management way more streamlined and hassle-free.

Pros

The dashboard is super clear and organized, so I can quickly track print usage, see who’s printing what, and manage everything from one place. I also really appreciate the secure printing feature—it's great knowing that sensitive documents are protected and only released when the right person is at the printer. Plus, the self-service options for users are awesome; they don’t need IT help for basic stuff, which makes everything run more smoothly. It’s definitely made printing way more efficient and less of a hassle.

Cons

Tthe setup process can be a little confusing at first. It took some time to get everything connected properly, especially when trying to integrate with existing systems. Also, while the mobile printing feature is useful, it could be more intuitive. Sometimes getting it to work across different devices can be a bit of a headache, and it’s not always as seamless as I’d expect. Overall, these things aren’t huge issues, but they definitely made the initial experience a bit more frustrating

Reason for choosing Vasion Print

When we were looking at Vasion Print, we also considered a few other options like Papercut and PrinterLogic. Both offered similar features for print management, but we ended up leaning towards Vasion Print because it had better cloud integration and a simpler, more intuitive interface. We also looked into UniPrint for its security features, but Vasion Print's overall ease of use and cost-effectiveness made it the better fit for our needs.

### "Bye Bye Print Server, Hello Vasion Print"

November 12, 2024

5.0

My overall experience with Vasion Print has been highly positive. It effectively replaced our print server, allowing us to manage all our printers across Texas from one central location. The ability to update drivers automatically has been a huge advantage, reducing downtime and ensuring that all devices stay up-to-date without manual intervention. This centralized approach has streamlined our operations, improved efficiency, and minimized the need for on-site troubleshooting. The system’s reliability and ease of use have made a notable difference in our print management processes.

Pros

As a satisfied user of Vasion Print, I appreciate its centralized management console, which simplifies handling all printers and print jobs from a single interface. It’s incredibly efficient to deploy printers, troubleshoot issues, and manage printer access without the need for individual print servers. This streamlined control has saved our team valuable time and reduced the complexity of our print environment.

Cons

What I liked least about Vasion Print is the initial setup process, which can feel a bit time-consuming and requires careful configuration to get everything just right. It’s not a huge issue, and once set up, the system runs smoothly, but a quicker setup would improve the experience even more.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Vasion Print

We chose Vasion Print over alternative products due to its centralized management console, which simplifies handling all printers and print jobs from a single interface. This feature streamlines operations, reduces the need for on-site troubleshooting, and enhances overall efficiency.

### "This is the best print management software we've used!"

November 7, 2024

5.0

Our experience has been great! It works as advertised and is easy to use. The customer support has been great.

Pros

The biggest thing we love is the ease of use for the technology side and for the end user. It is intuitive for the end user to find the printer they want and to install it. It is easy for the tech team to setup printers and get them rolled out quickly. The customer service has always been great and very helpful.

Cons

The only thing I can say in this category is that it isn't cheap. You do seem to get what you pay for, but there is some cost here and it may be a little on the high side.

### "Great for Simple Deployments, Some Hiccups for Advanced Features"

November 14, 2024

4.0

At locations without secure and follow me printing, installation was quick and their migration tool worked fairly well. We eventually resolved the issues, but the configuration was far more complex than expected. The technical sales team very quickly disengaged after our purchase.

Pros

Simple and easy to use portal that is intuitive and user friendly. Their migration tool works well and when combined with the agent, makes migration of large amounts of printers a breeze.

Cons

Secure and FollowMe Printing has been a giant challenge to set up and configure. Vasion support is slow to respond and must do most tracking and ticketing over email, which is not ideal for speedy resolution.

### "Printing Saas that sheds legacy weight"

November 7, 2024

5.0

It was critical for recovery during a physical site disaster recovery event. Computers did not need to be individually managed for a new print subnet. This saved us days during the recovery for an already overworked team.

Pros

Before Vasion Print we had massive headaches managing print servers across multiple physical locations that caused headaches daily. The ease of use and management through Vasion allowed us to update networks, drivers, and reports to finally simplify our print heavy business.

Cons

We would love the ability to manage server shared printers that are not TCP based. We have a few proprietary printers that can be linked through Printerlogic but will not successfully share/install.

Pros

### "Comprehensive Print Management Solution"

November 7, 2024

5.0

Overall, PrinterLogic provides a solid experience for companies looking to streamline printer management and eliminate print servers. Its centralized control and self-service portal can drastically reduce the workload on IT teams, allowing end users to install and manage their own printers, which is a big win in terms of efficiency and user satisfaction.

Pros

The print server elimination and self-service portal are standout features. PrinterLogic’s ability to eliminate print servers significantly reduces both the hardware and software complexity that companies typically deal with in traditional print setups. It frees up IT resources and reduces points of potential failure, which means fewer interruptions for end-users.

Cons

For companies that opt for PrinterLogic’s cloud version, disruptions in internet connectivity can hinder printer management tasks. Though this might not be a constant issue, companies in areas with intermittent connectivity might face challenges with cloud-dependent services.

### "User-Printer Management, Solved!"

November 10, 2024

5.0

Our overall experience has been extremely positive - - Integration and deployment was relatively painless and our users have taken to it very easily.

Pros

Easy to follow instructions, both for IT Staff and End Users. Any user can click the tray icon and quickly drill down to find the printer they're needing to add - no need to search Windows settings, browse clunky directories that take forever to load. Integration and deployment were easy and painless and it's used every day by our users. Support has been great with us, and our internal support documentation is easy for users to follow.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything I'd want to see further development of.

### "Go Vasion!"

November 7, 2024

5.0

We use the product for our local hospital and several off site locations, for all of our printer setup needs. With using Vasion print, we are able to setup floor map to assign where each printer is, so the end user has an easy time installing the printer they need.

Pros

Its super easy to use and a wonderful product. I would recommend this to anyone. The GUI and printer installation makes it easy for the end user to install printers without the contact to our IT teams. Setting new printer or area is a simple task, that any user without a tech background could do.

Cons

Driver management, it would be nice for them to have a local listening of all drivers and able to apply the new ones or even check to see if a driver update is needed.
