The PlanMinder is designed to both save time on administrative work and give you better plans when estimates are uncertain, resources are shared, and priorities shift. The PlanMinder uses automatic scheduling and feedback from time reports to continuously keep your plans up to date. It manages uncertainty and risk using Monte Carlo simulations to calculate probability distributions for when milestones will be reached, and how likely it is that you will reach deadlines on time. This gives you early warnings when you risk missing goals, and the tools to do something about it. The scenario mode lets you explore alternatives and keep a plan B ready. It is so worth the effort to setup and it is making all project planning so much better. Less guesswork and more decisions based on actual data as the project progress and change.

Pros

This software is different from all other project planning tools I've tested. It makes planning and managing projects easier since the program does most of the difficult parts for you. It gives a neat overview and makes it much easier to decide on were to put more efforts in order to finish in time.

Cons

It took some effort to setup with the database.
