It keeps me on track with all of my projects. I like that I can view them all at a glance with simplicity and can create boards like TASKS, TO DO, REVIEW, DONE so that I know what needs to be done, what I should work on, make sure its done correctly, and send to client completed to my fullest potential, without missing a deadline. Pros I LOVEEEEE this software so much. I like how easy it is and although it is simple, it gives you enough options to organize yourself. June 12, 2018 5.0 It has allowed me to form pleasant dynamics with the work teams and keep us all informed of the critical points of the current projects to take action quickly and in a very pleasant way. Pros It is very nice to organize projects in this tool, since it has an easy to use design, it has allowed me to set priorities in a different way with a series of highly entertaining cards, which makes work a relaxing, comfortable and dynamic activity, since allows the collaboration and incorporation of all work teams, allowing each team to share the pending activities and progress, providing the opportunity for all involved to be aware in real time of the status of the projects that are being proposed and executed. It also allows you to attach files to share reports and presentations that show progress to all members. I really like that it is applicable to any area of our life, since it can easily be used to organize family and educational activities from any intelligent device. Cons One of the disadvantages that I have found in this tool is that, when working on large projects that involve large work groups and many activities, the board becomes very extensive and therefore it is normal to lose a bit of the visualization of the priorities. I love it and insisted we use it when I chaged jobs! Pros Trello is like an online bulletin board - you can customize it almost any way you desire. It's easy to understand and setup (I hate products that require a lot of training). The "Powerups" make integration with your other systems easy! Cons This is not necessarily an issue with the software, but it was difficult for me to convince other teammates to use Trello for workflow and process organization. I think the issue was more with the teammates, though. The only other thing that I dislike about Trello is that you can only set one due date per card - it would be nice to have a progression of due dates. Review Source MS Melissa S. It was easy to set up and we look forward to discovering more ways to use it and integrate it into more areas of our organization. Pros It was very easy to get started. We mostly just use the basic boards, but each week we are discovering new features and figuring out ways to use them. We moved our marketing management system into Trello and were able to go setup to full functionality in just an hour. We use it every day now to keep track of projects and marketing ideas. Though we are only a two person team...this software has made a huge difference in our project management. We also loved that Trello has a desktop application and that was one of the deciding factors in going with Tello over several other programs we had been trying out. Cons I am sure there are little missing elements, but we haven't come across anything that we really needed and couldn't find a way to accomplish with the current software. September 12, 2018 5.0 Helps to track all tasks and keeps a great record of what was done when with no extra work needed on our part. Pros Trello is super easy to use. I also love the ease of being able to drag and drop the cards and especially love that I can add checklists to them. The free version allows one power-up and I usually use the recurring cards power up. although sometimes I use the Calendar. It's also a great way to communicate with others working on tasks and I love that we have a record of everything on the card. Cons I wish that for those of us who have had free accounts for years that we coudl have kept all of the features we originally had when some of them became paid. It would have been nice to be grandfathered in. Cards can contain task lists, due dates, and detailed comments between team members. At the same time, as a project manager, I can pop into a board, eyeball all of the cards and have an immediate sense of where the project is, what's been done, and what's still in the pipeline. Using Trello has significantly improved the quality the deployment of our work process. Better process means better product. Pros What I love the most about Trello is that I can keep things simple or get as granular as I want, but I still have the ability to create teams specific to projects. I also love how I can integrate with other services I use. For example, I can track time spent on a project directly from the board or card with the item being worked on. Cons My least favorite part of Trello is the way that cards lay out within boards. The cards are all placed left to right, horizontally. I wish I had the option to create a mosaic layout. I'd love to be able to see all the cards in a single glance. Some projects have too many cards. Since I oversee everything, being able to see everything at once would be great for me. Off course not having to navigate in the emails not to loose any important information made us save time on projects and work more efficiently. Pros I work in a fast moving/growing environment in which everyday we are involved in new projects which are not strictly related to one single department. We have tried a few options on the past year, but Trello was the only tool that really made the different for us. Besides the fact that it is very intuitive, it has multiple options for different needs. Trello allows you to work on the Kanban board mode in order for all the participants involved to be update with the latest status of the project. Each card can be updated with to do list, attachments, deadlines and different labels which make organization of the project simple and you can spot the cards easily on the dashboard. Notifications can be set up every time you are tagged on a card and it is updated so you won't miss anything. Cons I don't find any real cons regarding the tool, but just about the way to work with Trello. For new users I would suggest to offer some extra information about how to organize the cards. The creation of the dashboard and cards is very intuitive, but how to keep Trello organizing can be challenging at the beginning for some users. Review Source RS Rishav S. Pros The ease of use is the thing I love most about trello. I have a board for work, my own business, a joint one with my partner, a personal one, and one for things I want to learn. Each use case I utilize Trello differently, i.e. one as a Kan Ban, one as an ongoing list, one for categorizing. It's greatest feature in my opinion is it's simplicity. Cons I do wish things like a calendar view were built in, I know with the premium version you can access different plugins that include alternate views and tools to work hand-in-hand. Pros I like how easy it is to use, you can take a few minutes and jump right in to use it without much of a learning curve. It works exactly like a kanban board, and easily customizable, too. I have separate "teams" for each of my projects and clients, and even on the free version, I can create unlimited teams for all my projects. It makes collaborating very easy, and keeping everyone on the same page especially with the mobile app so you can even collaborate on the go. Perfect if you have a small team that's just starting. The best part you can use it pretty well in the free version and for each person you invite, you get months of the gold version for free. Trello also serves as a reminder in our tasks to be executed to a certain schedule. The checklist is very helpful not to forget or skip tasks or processes in a project. Trello provides us a space where the users can write notes, descriptions and other information related to the tasks. The system also serves as a file repository significant to the project and is easy for the users to locate and retrieve certain files attached to the boards. Pros I really like the simplicity of the interface where it is so easy to understand and use. The cards are so simple and yet has the needed features such as the notes, attachments, comments and other features for the specific tasks (card). I really like the drag-and-drop of cards as it like really a traditional board but much better. The checklist feature is one of its best feature of the system as well as the assigning of members in a particular board. The deadline and notification is also a great feature of tracking your tasks on a particular board. We love that it is a url based and app based application that we can use on the go. You can upload pdfs and pictures from either platform. Pros Trello is a useful tool for real time interaction between you and your team. I use it daily with my assistants and we are able to communicate right away about bookings and tasks daily. I also set up boards within Trello to share with my independent contractors. We use these boards to interact with each other and keep information in one place. Cons No complaints about the product except for the use of the boards. I find that it's a useful tool to allow team members to take control of their 1:1s and keep project progress moving. I also find that Trello aligns extremely well with KANBAN project management techniques. Pros The layout used in Trello is simple and easy to follow for both new and experienced users. As the software is accessible anywhere, it is helpful when working with staff remotely, especially for managers during a 1:1. The card view allows anyone who is added to a trello board to add or move 'cards' which we use to list individual tasks or projects. Columns help to create lists of cards that sit under 'KANBAN' headings of 'Upcoming', 'In Progress' and Complete work. Tagging is also helpful to categorise tasks belonging to one programme of work. Alerts help to keep track of project progress and identify overdue tasks. Cons More add-ons would be useful to be able to use Trello in different views, for users who are less visual. It would be helpful if list views could be included. An area which is static (cards that don't move) would be useful in 1:1's for areas that change less frequently like personal objectives or overall project aims. It is a fundamental tool to distribute and manage tasks, in real-time, with the whole team. If you're really organized, as I am, you'll want to use it even for managing your tasks at home. Pros Trello makes project management much easier because it allows you to plan all phases, distribute tasks to collaborators and organize everything, for example, "To do", "On going", "Done", etc. All tags are customizable, allowing you to create your own board, tailor-made. All projects are independent and therefore you can have different people with different access levels to each. You can tag other collaborators and keep conversations right on the task board. It allows you to add files, links, images, etc. It is very intuitive, you just need to drag and drop, and it's possible to have the perception of the project evolution just by looking at the main screen. Cons To be even better, I would add a cleaner design. I recognize that all background images are customizable, but I think it is possible to improve the main layout, which would contribute to a more pleasing visual perception.
