### "Trello is ALL YOU NEED!"

September 4, 2022

5.0

Overall, it's a tool for everyone! Whether you're a beginner or pro in managing certain tasks - Trello is helpful in making your life and work easier.

Pros

It's very easy to use. The learning curve is not steep so beginners can find it very useful. I like how visual it is and offers different views for tracking projects.

Cons

Sometimes boards can get messy especially when you add too many list already.

### "Delightful Visual Project Management"

September 15, 2023

4.0

Trello has streamlined our project management process, making collaboration and task tracking more efficient and visual.

Pros

1\. Intuitive visual interface.2. Versatile features like labels, checklists, and due dates.3. User-friendly with drag-and-drop functionality.4. Wide range of integrations and power-ups.

Cons

1\. Lacks some advanced features.2. Not designed for billing & invoicing.3. Power-ups can have a learning curve.

Reason for choosing Trello

Trello's visual board system was more intuitive, and its pricing model fit our budget better. The ease of use and quick setup also played a significant role in the decision.

### "Perhaps the best productivity app on the market"

February 16, 2023

4.0

Overall I consider trello to be the perfect bend of bringing new innovative features to the productivity app whilst still maintaining the easy to use and intuitive nature required. In my own work dealing with multiple clients each with unique requests Trello helps greatly by allowing me to visually place each idea and each task with a client, leading to overall better quality of work and the best time management out of any app I've used so far.

Pros

The app itself is intuitive and easy to use. Trello perhaps has become a part of daily life so much so that the term "trello board" is instantly recognisable in everyday conversations. The unique style of individual boards which you pin tasks to is easy to use and a clean way to visually depict tasks. Trello also uniquely allows for "power ups" to the boards. One I found particularly helpful was the "Alexa" integration powerup- a powerup which allowed me to essentially connect with my work anywhere round the house so long as an Alexa was nearby.

Cons

Though parts of the software felt innovative and useful, other aspects simply felt forced or gave little added value. An example would be the wide array of the "power ups." Whilst some of them offered great functionality other felt more like forced microtransactions over anything else and offered little value. The free basic tier of trello also only allows for 1 trello board to be used at once which is detrimental for any large multi-customer jobs as the boards tend to get cluttered easily.

### "Simple Boards for Simple Project Management"

November 6, 2021

5.0

I think that the Trello is a very useful tool to manage small and mid-size projects (or parts of big projects, like a board for a development team or boards for a specific team (not all-in-one). I have used Trello for 5 years now and what keeps me still using it - it's because it's the most simple task management software ever created and most of it is free. So why do You need something else (only if You're not looking for something more sophisticated)?

Pros

Trello is very "easy" in many ways and it's the best feature: - it's easy to use - You don't need any training to start managing tasks and projects in Trello; - it's easy to set up - just 4-5 minutes and You're ready to go (if You use a template provided by the Trello team - You'll need no more than 1 minute); - you don't need additional software - all works in web-browsers even on mobile phones (although there are native apps for iOS and android); - you can easily use it every day for stand-ups, workshops, etc because You see all the relevant information and can update tasks in real-time; - there are many power-ups (some free, some not) that can make your Task management more reach, bring more context or useful tools from which You can benefit.

Cons

It's not for complex projects (like with Gantt charts and long lists of dependent tasks) as You definitely will lose the focus on Your board with huge amounts of tasks. It's best to keep it simple - that's where the efficiency thrives. Also, as Trello relies on Your vision of task/project management, sometimes You can find yourself overcomplicating stuff...

### "Trello- nonprofit review"

May 13, 2021

4.0

Having a visual and digital space to orgaize work has been a great resource over the last several years. I find when i have a big project and challenge ahead of me gravitating to tools like trello to help me get things laid out. thank yoU!

Pros

I love that trello offers various teirs and procing to their tool- as a nonprofit employee its been easiest for me to use the tool using a free account and have had others on my team- limited in what features we have access too, but can get the core of trello and the boards still. Its a pretty simple concept and easy to use, visial boards really help me in planning, executing and priortizing.

Cons

no complaints from my experience using the tool, other than our organization integrating it formally which would unlock more features and integrations with microsoft office 365 and specifically Microsoft Teams. Now with Microsoft Planner though many of the same features are available and that integrates with all of our tools better. Trello works better for certain projects that may include some volunteers or other external pro bono partners

### "The best to plan what you want in any situation"

January 22, 2021

5.0

Overall, it is an excellent service that provides countless incredible features and mainly integrations with the main software on the market. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Pros

Certainly trello is the best service to plan what you want in any environment and situation. With the numerous resources, it is easy to make plans and manage things from the corporate to the personal. With it, I was able to plan all my projects, both personal and professional, and accomplish all the goals set, respecting the defined deadlines. One thing that strikes me about Trello is the possibilities of integration with other systems and also the possibility to export the data from the boards in addition to all the possible resources and organization and all this free, which is excellent. It is certainly the best service in its category.

Cons

This is undeniably the best service for you to organize your life and it covers a series of incredible features and it really is a very complete service but I would like to suggest a single change: for the delivery dates registered on the boards, it is possible to display the boards in a format of a timeline of dates where the boards for each date are displayed in the details.

### "I couldn't work without my Trello"

August 31, 2022

5.0

Amazing. I have been able to completely do away with paper notebooks for organization and project management. Having all my tasks available online to access from my computer and phone has improved my productivity and organization.

Pros

I love the opportunity to organize my boards, add tasks, bullets, checklists, multi-media, links and more into my projects. I love the ability to color code and to see my progress as I am finishing tasks. I use my Trello boards as my bible day to day for work and life tasks and projects. As my team's manager, I am also able to track everyone's projects to make sure we're staying on task and completing necessary and important deliverables. I am able to tag priority for certain tasks as well. Trello is the only way I stay organized with all of our projects. I also love the mobile app, as I can add, change, edit and check on tasks when I'm on-the-go.

Cons

I don't like that you can't just "complete" a task / have the opportunity to cross it off. You can only "Archive" tasks. I'd like to be able to organize completed tasks in a better way, as it helps me track what me and my team have worked on in the past week or month as I report to my manager.

### "I SWEAR by Trello "

March 16, 2022

5.0

Pros

Trello is the perfect software for tracking, planning, and anything else you need. I currently use Trello for project management, marketing, content bank creation and organization, to-do lists, and so much more. I use Trello multiple times a day for almost every aspect of my business. It is easy to use, easy to share with others on your team, and fast too! I’ve used some project planning tools in the past that are so slow and I can confidently say I don’t have that problem with Trello.

Cons

Trello is very much what you make of it, and it has a bit of a learning curve to begin with. I would recommend new users start with a pre-made template and work from there as it helps get you situated with the site and it’s features

### "projects get done with Trello"

August 24, 2022

5.0

Overall I am very satisfied. The one thing I least liked about Trello was that notifications very rarely do not work. This is so rare that it is negligible.

Pros

Task management. Working in sales and marketing, we collaborate with all teams in our company. Research, social media, accounts, finance, events, editors, and contributors. With Trello, I can log a task for my artwork team to design something for my client, I can log a suggested deadline and the task will get done.

Cons

Sometimes I do not get alerted or notified of impending deadlines.

### "Trello - Managing projects sophisticatedly"

April 16, 2019

3.0

Trello is becoming one of the most popular project management tools with its facilities like file uploading , adding due dates, color labels . Also Trello can be used with many devices like phones , computers or tablets. These facilities have attracted the users and it has become more popular among the users.

Pros

Trello is a one of the most popular web based project management tool used in these days. Because of its attractive visual and high adaptability it has become more and more popular. Through Trello people wo are scattered on different geographical areas yet working on the same project can get together and continue their work without any obstacles. The application provides the ability to transfer files among the team members and users can put cards to mark the work to do. Also each card is assigned a color label according to the priority of each task. Because of the colored label facility users may not miss dead lines. When a card is created user is given a chance to add due date . When the time is close color of the card turns in to yellow and once the date is passed it will automatically turn in to red. This method helps the user not to miss the dead lines. Also Trello can be used on many platforms like computers , tablets and even on the phones.

Cons

In order to use Trello users need to have a proper internet connection. Without a proper network connection users cannot use the application. Trello is more suitable for simple projects with in a small scale. It is not suitable for big projects with many teams . Users can only upload files up to 10MB for each attachment. Files bigger than 10MB cannot be upload if you are a basic member. Only business class and gold members can attach files up to 250MB.

### "Useful Tool"

November 4, 2022

5.0

With Trello I can visualize the creation and progress of my work projects with great ease and organization. I can know exactly what I need to do without worrying about any details, since I can program all actions into cards on each board distributed into categories. Everything is very organized and easy to apply.

Pros

I can distribute projects and action plans in stages. With the 'kaban' visualization I can easily see the progress of each task being done and what is left to complete the project. It is excellent for organization and planning.

Cons

I don't use the additional tools much because I have little understanding of them, but this hasn't become a big problem for me since the way I use trello already satisfies me a lot.

### "Stay Organized and pn Track"

August 27, 2021

5.0

Since I started using Trello, I feel more organized. Trello has been a time saver as I am not duplicating certain efforts and tasks. As a writer, this has become an essential tool in my time management belt. I use the sub tasks to organize the ideas that pop in my head. I wouldn't know what I would do now if I didn't have Trello.

Pros

I love being able to customize everything to fit with what I need. Since I work on different types of projects with different processes and goals, being able to customize each keeps each project organized. The tracking capabilities make life so much easier when I can see exactly where each task and project is toward completion. On my longer projects, milestone tracking is an added bonus to keep me moving forward.

Cons

So far, I haven't found anything I don't like.

### "Trello is great for hobbyists, freelancers, sole-proprietors, and small teams"

September 21, 2022

5.0

I absolutely love it and have been using it for at least five years, both for professional purposes and for my own personal projects. It's a life-saver and the mobile app is almost as easy to use as the desktop web application.

Pros

The free tier is incredibly feature-rich and robust, allowing for more than enough for hobbyists and freelancers especially. Trello's interface is easy to use and understand, making the tedium of project/task management a little easier.

Cons

Until a recent update, the number of colors for labels were very low (10 or so, if that). But since a recent update, the number of available colors has increased dramatically, allowing for much finer labeling of tasks/cards.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Trello

Trello is far cheaper and easier to use than Jira. It's not as powerful and robust as Jira, but that's not always a bad things. Having used Jira in the past in agile development environments, I understand its power; for my personal and professional needs, it's simply overkill. Trello is a tremendous value for what it is.

### "Best Project Management Tool To Organizes Business Projects into Boards"

September 24, 2022

5.0

Trello is one of the best project management software's and it has integrations for every single application. We can use it for everything, from planning annual budget to organizing our weekly work. It is an online project management application that allows you to create boards, add tasks and subtasks, assign members, and add everyone's due date. Trello is a great tool for our team of people working together on projects both big and small. Our team work on weekly basis on running project and we have divided all task in to our team members. We love this tool and easily handle all projects easily.

Pros

• Task Management: Trello helps you manage your tasks by allowing you to create boards and lists. You can add cards to your boards and lists, and then move the cards around as needed. This makes it easy to keep track of your tasks and ensure that they are completed. • Public Board Management: Trello allows you to manage public boards, which is helpful if you need to collaborate with others on a project. You can add users to your board and give them permissions to view or edit the board. • Admin and Security Features: Trello has admin and security features that allow you to control who can access your boards and what they can do with them. You can also set up passwords for your boards and restrict access to certain board members. • Unlimited Workspaces: Trello allows you to create unlimited workspaces, which is helpful if you need to manage multiple projects at the same time. You can easily switch between workspaces and view all of your boards in one place. • Unlimited Cards: Trello allows you to create unlimited cards, which is helpful if you need to track a lot of information. You can add details to your cards, including due dates, descriptions, and attachments.

Cons

• Trello is a great tool for managing tasks and projects. It is simple to use and has many features that make it very versatile. • Integrations with other tools and services make Trello even more powerful and useful. • The public board management feature is great for teams that need to share information with others outside of their organization. • Trello has excellent admin and security features, making it a very secure platform. • The unlimited workspace command runs make it possible to manage an unlimited number of projects in Trello.

### "Trello is Simple and Great"

September 26, 2022

4.0

I have used Jira on teams of 1 to 30 and find it is a great solution for many different projects. I've also used other project management solutions and find that unless your project really needs built-in SCRUM features or other more nitty-gritty project management solutions Trello is a great package and is always my go-to to start-off a project (and often use to completion!)

Pros

Trello is the go-to software for teams looking to utilize a "lite" package. Although it doesn't have all of the scrum capabilities of Atlasian's other software, like Jira, it packs its own punch in a compact and easy to use package.

Cons

As mentioned previously, some more built-in features for individual task progress tracking would be great. Other cons or missing features are made-up for in Atlasian's other software Jira.

Alternatives considered

[Jira](https://www.capterra.com/p/19319/JIRA/)[Milanote](https://www.capterra.com/p/165790/Milanote/)[monday.com](https://www.capterra.com/p/147657/monday-com/)[Notion](https://www.capterra.com/p/186596/Notion/)

Reason for choosing Trello

Compared to Jira, Monday.com, and Notion, Trello had everything I wanted and nothing more. There are also many third-party APIs which integrate Trello into Discord servers and many more people are familiar with Trello than Monday.com or Notion. As for why I keep choosing Trello over Jira? Its relative simplicity and cheaper price makes it worth it for me!

Switched from

[Milanote](https://www.capterra.com/p/165790/Milanote/)

I made the switch from Milanote to Trello because Trello has many more built-in features that make it easy to track a projects progress, create tasks, and assign tasks. It's much easier to use as a project management solution. Milanote is great for a global web-based moodboard and works well along Trello, but it is not a better project management solution by any means. Trello is far more superior!

### "Incredibly useful project management, using kanban board"

August 25, 2021

5.0

At first sight, it seemed too simple, but I'm amazed how effective it is and can't live without it now! I also belong to another team and it's a good way for my project manager to assign tasks to me — much better than trying to keep track of it all through emails. The usefulness of the tool, however, will probably depend on your ability to set up the board in a meaningful way; if it's not organized well, it won't be all that helpful. The Gmail integration is also nice; I can add a new Trello card directly from my Gmail. Can't work without it and highly recommend it!

Pros

I use Trello mainly as a kanban board to keep track of my tasks and projects as a freelancer. I love how intuitive and easy it is to set up the board and to add cards, and especially appreciate being able to use keyboard shortcuts — to move cards around, add labels, archive cards, etc. Trello also suggests automations based on your usage; they are fairly easy to set up and are quite convenient.

Cons

I'm using the free version so it doesn't let me assign people or dates to items in a checklist on one card (but it's understandable that there are features that need a subscription). I also would like a few more label color/pattern options.

### "Team and Time Tracking and Management"

January 8, 2021

5.0

I have used Trello to stay organized. It works great for keeping track of things when there are multiple tasks and many deadlines involved in one large, or long-term project. It's also helpful to for keeping track of where team members are as they work on parts of a project. Before switching to trello, I had simple checklists and would at times forget where I was or what had been done. Trello allowed for quick and easy tracking and updating of progress no matter where I was, because it is simple to use, visual, and the phone is always with me.

Pros

I loved that it was easy to use both in the desktop web browser and in the phone app. Many products are heavier with their usefulness in one area or another. With Trello, I was able to use it easily and completely at my desktop at work or at home, and then had the same ease and complete functionality of use on my phone when I didn't have a computer handy. The boards and cards are extremely useful. I've used them to track my own progress through multiple similar projects, being able to simply move independent cards along a flow, and quickly, visually spot where each project was in the process. I've also used them to collaborate with multiple people on a very complex single project. Boards can be used for work focus areas, or for specific teams, and cards can be specifically assigned to individual or multiple members as being part of what they need to complete. It is easy to quickly spot projects and what needs to be done visually when set up correctly, and can turn a confusing list of multi-level tasks into a quick know-at-a-glance what needs to be done and how far along a project has gone. It is also very helpful to be able to add checklists to cards, and files. Team members can check off that they've completed something, and add photo or document evidence. Color coding is also available, which adds to being able to label things so they're quickly identifiable as relevant to what you're looking for, or not. We have used the free version, paid provides even more.

Cons

Integration features looked good, but many of them cannot be used without paying. It's hard to complain that the product could have been even more useful than it was if I wouldn't have had to pay for features, because I completely understand that the company would go under if it did not make money somehow. All-in-all, I'd say that the feature upgrades would be worth it. Trello is very inexpensive, I just couldn't justify a requisition in the context of my workplace.

### "Veloce, semplice, modulare"

January 27, 2021

5.0

### "Indispensable Foundation To Our Productivity"

October 1, 2019

5.0

We give our leaders full flexibility to utilize Trello, which has resulted in a lot of boards (list of lists, essentially). This is not overwhelming, however; the team knows how to utilize this system and, effectively, use this as a foundational means of communication. We use Trello to stay on track with yearly, quarterly, and weekly goals; we use Trello to plan events and coordinate all vendors, volunteers, supplies, and raw ideas; we even all use Trello in our personal lives, from making a weekly schedule, to meal planning, to gift managing!

Pros

What I love the absolute most about this software, is its malleable ability to record, monitor, transmit, and communicate an idea or task in every way necessary to our productivity. Tasks and ideas are easily moved between all necessary individuals and teams. Each member involved in the task is able to clearly communicate their progress along the way, and team members can watch other's progress leading up to their obligation. We use Trello to manage thousands of tiny micro-tasks, yet it all is cleanly and neatly organized to stay on-track and entirely avoid overwhelm.

Cons

At the moment, there is not a way to have the same card (task) on multiple lists/boards (the terms used by Trello to describe vertical lists and overall categories, respectively). You can make copies, but if one card is updated, the others will not also update. I understand the exclusion of this feature, but there have been many occasions where this would improve productivity and assist projects. For now, we simply make links to cards and boards.

Reason for choosing Trello

Asana has come a long way as a task manager, but as of yet is not as deeply integrated as Trello into other applications. It is also less visually clean to our team, which is very focused on aesthetics for both personal and professional reasons.

While Omnifocus is an incredibly powerful tool for personal organization, our team was suffering from the lack of collaboration in the early days. Trello turned out to be even more robust and flexible than Omnifocus, and we have ceased using it in our personal lives, let alone for the company tasks.

### "Great tool for managing team tasks"

April 2, 2019

4.0

Overall, I find Trello to be an excellent tool for team collaboration and tracking. Its ability to integrate with other services helps keep the whole team accountable, and ensures that we all have access to the information and resources we need. If you need a free or low cost way of working with teams, you can't do much better than Trello.

Pros

Most of my usage for Trello is in the context of film and writing projects, working with teams of fellow students at UCLA. Beyond that, I've also used it extensively on my own projects working with other teams to create various kinds of content, ranging from writing to the full suite of production responsibilities. What's great about Trello is that you can use it in a variety of ways, with a fairly deep level of granularity. Using their card system, it's easy to define top level projects and then layer in a hierarchy of tasks necessary to achieve those projects. Subtasks can be assigned on an individual basis, and it's easy for team members to communicate their progress in a very simple interface. Trello is also extremely flexible to use in part because of the breadth of its available apps. Whether you're working from Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, or even just a web browser on pretty much any OS, you can keep track of your work and progress easily and cleanly. The Android app supports widgets of various kinds, and several third party options further enhance this capability, with prices ranging from free to a few dollars. Last but certainly not least, Trello can integrate with a number of other services, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Adobe XD (great for artists to track their own work progress!), Skype and bluejeans for meetings, and many more. As with all such services, some integrations are free, others paid, but you have lots of flexibility

Cons

The only real issue I've found with Trello is that when signal is an issue with your mobile device, some of the apps can be a little flaky. Rather than having a local caching mechanism it appears to rely predominantly on the cloud being accessible. This makes sense to a certain extent: by doing so, they reduce the risk of sync conflicts when multiple people update the same tasks. Still, it can be frustrating if you're in a spot where you could get some work done, but your connection is sketchy.

### "Great for Simple Start Up Purposes"

August 29, 2022

5.0

Trello was perfect for when I needed to organize my ideas and projects as a team of one and even adding 2-3 assistants, it was great for assinging tasks that have clear miletones and steps or even repeatable tasks that we could put on recurring deadlines. As the team and the business has grown, howeer we have started to see the limitations of the software for managing more comples workflows with multiple stakeholders and will probably be transitioning off of Trello as soon as we can upskill in a more dynamic platform/customize what we need in a system that has more functionality.

Pros

Trello is amazing or solopreneurs and small teams where you may be managing juts a couple of VAs. It llows you to easily create tasks with detailed descriptions, checklists and attachments or links to other resources. From there you can assign the tasks, set deadlines and keep all communications about the task or project all in one place. Our team has several boards that we use for managing the business and each one helps us stay on task and in communication in between regular team meetings. Trello is also great because it is ver intuitive as a kanban board and allows multiple views for different learning styles and organization methods ( list view, calendar etc) so everyone can find a way to make it work for them. We recently upgraded a tier so that we could add deadlines and assign subtasks to people and its a game changer for supporting workflows. Also, having the abiliy to add Zaps with other software tools is amazing for if you want to automatically assing some workflows for things like appointment bookings or payments.

Cons

The one thing that is limiting about Trello is you cannot create dependencies for tasks. If one deadline gets bumped there is now way to automate the timeline udates to the rest of the project - this has to be done manually (ugh). Also, the deadlines in the checklists do not show up in the personal board view, so if you have team members who are looking for a daily dashboard of their assignments, they won't see the detailed tasks assigned to them, only the headline projects/cards. It's because of this limitation that we are starting to look at other more robust project management tools like Notion or Asana that allow you to create those dependencies automatically and notify task owners of those changes.

Reason for choosing Trello

Asana was way too complex for us when we were starting out - the platform was overwhelming and interface elt cluttered compared to Trello's simplicity and desing Monday - we looked at this to see if it would help us stay organized around projects and product developmepnt but found the manual building of the boards tedious. Also, was not as intuitive for creating custom views. 17 Hats - we tried this for a while to see if it could replace Trello and it was pretty limited in terms of prject management capacity. We also tried to pull in all of our surveys and onboarding tools that exist in other platforms, and this was just a mess on the back end in terms of keeping track of the data. UI felt clunky and we couldn't make it prettier with the customizations provided
