### "Trello is very helpful and intuitive and overall an amazing product I've recommended to friends."

October 12, 2021

5.0

Honestly I really love Trello! It makes it easier to organize my work and ideas, and even remember things I have to do! (I have a terrible memory, so when I say it helps, it reaally helps!) I mostly use it for my work (I'm a freelance artist) and it's nice that I can list what I'm working on, update my progress in real time and upload cover photos so people can see my progress at any given moment. 10/10 service, have and def will keep recommending it to my artist friends! Or just friends that like to stay organized in general.

Pros

I love how easy it is to organize your ideas and progress on activities, that it's very customizable, and that essential and important features are free.

Cons

Months ago I didn't like that you had to pay to use your own background picture, but that was like the only thing I didn't like. Recently, it became free so I don't really have any problems with Trello!

### "The good, the not so good and all of Trello"

October 22, 2018

4.0

Pros

Trello is an easy to use to-do list/project management app. After being introduced to it 3 years ago, its the one todo list app that I keep coming back to. 1) The intuitive design of Trello makes it easy to get started. Its functions just work, whether its drag and drop, moving cards across lists, or setting up boards, you can easily get started using Trello in minutes. Trello's simplicity aids in its overall feel and use. 2) Trello's cards & lists allow you to really go in depth with project planning. While other platforms may have to do lists of sorts, with Trello's you get a checklist for each card, which can be a task with sub tasks. The use of the boards and lists also helps for those that need deep project management features 3) Trello has some hidden gems such as free downloadable boards, a Calendar view for lists vs using the standard board view, Power Ups and easy integration with email, shortcuts and more. You can use Trello to manage projects in many different ways. I like to think of it as a Swiss Army knife for Project Management. 4) Its mostly free. Its hard to really beat free stuff and Trello is right up there. Most features can be used without paying so thats really great.

Cons

My only gripes with Trello are: 1) The lack of new features in a while. It feels like the only progress of Trello is coming from Power Ups. 2) I tend to whine a lot about mobile app support and while I feel the current versions are sufficient, but the lack of a dedicated Apple Watch app for example is a bummer. To Do list apps like Things have apps for every platform including Apple Watch. 3) Trello is great for smaller teams but if you have a large team collaborating on Trello can be cumbersome.

### "Trello (Free version) a good tool to start working with Agile methogologies"

July 6, 2021

3.0

We have been using trello mainly for internal projects, this allows us to have people of our intership program getting in touch with a professional tool that allows them to not be confused at the momment to start using similar tools in the industry. Trello helps to have a board where all the team can see what is the team working on, and identify different risks when the management topic comes up.

Pros

This is a software that easily bring visibility and good understanding to the people that have neever been in touch with a Task Management Tool, what I liked the most is the UI/UX, the usage of the colors, the way to customize the different statuses, how to group the different tasks per person it bring a good visibility to all the team to also identify who is having a lot of things on their desks.

Cons

I would rather to preffer tho have more fields and the ability to have a track of the time spent in the tasks, also the feature to add subtaks (having linked the tasks) and having it visible would bring more understanding on the level of the efforts spent by the teams.

### "Hello Trello 👋"

November 23, 2020

4.0

Pros

Trello is really the best, inexpensive project management tool you could ask for. Edits happen in real- time. Assigning team members and due dates are simple with the Kanban cards and Planyway calendar. In- platform reminders work flawlessly. Teaching project progress is easy for simple projects.

Cons

The one main drawback would be that there are a lot of plugins available to make more features and apps available (calendars, etc. ). This can be good, but sometimes can take you a little off course, since you have to generally leave the main Trello board and experience to access the extension features. It would be fantastic if more of the extension features were just built into the platform itself. This next part isn't so much a negative, but more of a heads-up as you start getting into complex projects with more moving parts. Unless you upgrade to a heavier duty business plan, tracking milestones for each card is tough. Example: your project has 3 parts. Each part requires 2 people to do 3 tasks each. Without the paid plan, it's tough to track who's assigned to which specific step for which specific due date without creating a separate card for each task. To assign due dates to each, you're now looking at tracking progress across 18 individual cards on the free plan. You can use a checklist, but can't assign due dates to the individual milestones/ tasks unless you're on the free plan. They have to make money (I fully get and support that!). Just know that as your projects grow in complexity, the amount you have to spend may grow with it. Not always, but sometimes. With that said, they are still the cheapest, somewhat full-featured project management tool that you can jump right into and begin using.

Reason for choosing Trello

Cost and ease of use

### "A lifeline software for a person who's looking to keep himself/herself organized!"

May 20, 2021

5.0

I absolutely love it!

Pros

I love the way how conveniently I could add the tasks through list items that are to be completed and how conveniently I get to the old ones could be deleted as well. I like the part where I get to move the list items between the different cards according to the tasks which are to be moved from the "haven't started list" to "currently in execution"etc. I keep a detailed track of project status updates regularly which is mainly why I get to use Trello almost daily in an organized way so that I don't get to forget important things. I use the free trial version and it's great. It could be accessed using a web browser and doesn't need me to download and install an application every time I want to use it on a new device which is another reason I love it. This is the best project management software currently installed on my system.

Cons

Frankly, I feel that there aren't any specific features of this software that need to be improved.

### "Great task management "

January 17, 2022

4.0

Pros

It was easy to understand trello and implement in my team. We have been using it for close to three years. What I really liked most was that there are a lot of online tutorials and easy to understand.

Cons

I feel it is difficult to manage multiple projects on the same board. Somehow for me this functionality could be improved. I would also request an improvement on deadline management.

### "Amazing tool for better productivity in life - professionally ánd personally"

February 3, 2021

5.0

I don't even know where to begin to describe how much of an impact Trello has made on my life and how I use it exactly. But I'll try. I have multiple businesses that I run and lots of new ideas that occur to me on at least a monthly basis. These ideas have to go somewhere. Before Trello, these ended up in various places, like Samsung Notes. But this was much, much less structured than Trello and not structured enough for me to be able to really process everything and create order. My mind was all over the place, restless. Over the past year, I've been using Trello more and more actively and my main board (for my agency) has evolved a lot. If you aren't using a task management tool, you should start RIGHT NOW. And Trello will most likely be the best fit. At least it was for me. That being said, I would not recommend it as a project management tool. Meaning for collaboration with clients and project management for clients, creating structured systems, working with teams,... there are more focused tools for that on the market. Which are not free, but very affordable as well. I'm sure other people would disagree, since Trello does offer most of the featurest that are needed for project management as well, but I personally like more professional tools that are specifically created for that purpose. So, in conclusion, Trello is without a doubt the best task management tool on the market and one of the best ways to create more structure in your life and get rid of the chaos!

Pros

The fact that the core features for daily task management are available to everyone for free. On top of that, if you do need the more advanced features, these are available at a fairly low cost. The fact that Trello has made such a big impact in my life, every single day, for both my personal to-do's, things I don't want to forget or remember for later (such as bucket lists), as well as (and primarily) task management for my businesses. I will elaborate further as part of my overall experience with Trello. The mobile app AND desktop app! This is so handy and one of the reasons why I've been switching all my old Samsung Notes to Trello. The mobile app can be easily installed anywhere, so I always have my with me wherever I go. When I think of something to do, I can write it down quickly, add a new card or just an item etc. It's very quick and easy and plays an essential role in my life.

Cons

The function "ctrl + f" to easily search for words inside a list is not available in the desktop app. This means searching for terms can be less efficient compared to the web app, which means I sometimes have to go through the trouble of opening Trello in my browsing and searching for something there, because it would be harder to do on desktop (I realise this is nit picking). Furthermore, I would like to be able to either exclude OR include archived cards, so it would be easier and faster to look for the task I want. Now, I end up opening a bunch of archived cards when I don't really need those anymore. This brings me to the final thing I really don't like about Trello and that's that it's not possible to delete a card directly instead of archiving it. This is possible, via other steps, but very inconvenient and time consuming. Why not just give the option to completely delete something? If that were possible, I would actually use the archive function in a productive way. Now it's just a place where everything ends up that I don't need anymore. Not practical.

### "Remote Project Management? Trello is your tool!"

August 30, 2022

5.0

"Chef Kiss! 5 stars, would totally use it again" I know it's super cliche but is true, I love Trello and after working with sooooo many project management tools Trello is among my Top 3, and whenever a new client tells me "Let me add you to our Trello Board" I cry put of joy because I know I am gonna have the information and support I need just a click away.

Pros

Honestly, there are so many things to like about Trello, how user-friendly it is, you can literally teach anyone how to use Trello in less than 20 minutes. Super easy for people who are starting doing project management, visually a blast and you are able to have full visibility of stages and day-to-day tasks. Managing backlog is super easy and you are able to truly focus on what is important and not feel like you leaving anything out.

Cons

If you are looking for a more confidential set type of tool maybe Trello is not your thing. Some of the projects I manage need some part to be public and others to be more on the low and since Trello is more focus on open collaboration I find myself needing to share classified files outside the tool which can complicate and confuse my peers, but honestly is more of the project itself than the tool.

### "King of all Kanban Board Tools"

March 23, 2022

5.0

Pros

The power of Trello is in its simplicity and ease of use. Its interface seems light-weight right out of the box. I have used several similar tools later on (after finding / falling in love with Trello - first love, obviously) like Clickup, Taskade and a few others but I find myself always falling back to Trello for its intuitive workflow and simple-to-use features. If you are a solo creator like me, who wants to throw all the ideas into a board, track them with a simple flow like - 'do, doing, done', then Trello is all you need. Go for it, and thank me later!

Cons

Sometimes, they keep changing their approach to their business which I found weird. But that's just me, may be. For example, they used to have Trello Gold for approximately $5 or so but they evolved and brought in different pricing tiers. I miss that but I also understand business models evolve with time. I also didn't like that many power-ups are just trials. Some useful ones cannot be used just easily. It asks for money to expand our experience with Trello. I believe its marketplace needs to evolve too by letting in more free power-ups.

### "Useful for work and personal"

April 27, 2021

5.0

Huge benefits with efficiency, time management and strategic planning.

Pros

I've used Trello for about 8 years now for managing work and home projects. It's got so many uses! And the features just keep improving and making it better. For work Trello is essential for managing the team, assigning tasks and staying on top of everyone's projects. The bigger the team is the more helpful it becomes as a Manager to save you time. It also means you don't have to chase team members on project updates so it makes their jobs easier too.

Cons

Notifications - the feed style notifications menu can be slow to load as you tick each item off. I often find I miss notifications because it's just a big list to scroll through. I think there's a better way to lay this out to provide more of an overview and help me manage which notifications have been dealt with.

Pros

### "I have been using Trello for project management for the past two years. I've found it to be helpful!"

June 2, 2018

5.0

Trello allows our team to keep all the relevant files for each project in one place. As a writer, I can attach reference photos for what I would like the designer to make. I can also post links to similar content. It also acts as a workflow space that is easy to follow because of its visual nature. We move cards from left to right as the project is moving through each stage of development. This makes it easy to check in on any given project.

Pros

Trello's strength lies in the ability to attach all relevant files to a project in one easy to find location. I love that I can easily drag and drop photos onto the card. I like the process that my company uses of moving cards from left to right through different lists, because it allows me to see how quickly my coworkers are finishing a given task. I also appreciate the newly updated notifications tab because it allows you to see the edit history of a card without opening it completely. I also like that you can mark some notifications as read and leave others unread. I would love to see them take this even further by allowing users to write a comment on the card from the notifications tab, without having to open the card. The search function is a lifesaver. With hundreds of cards on our collaborative board, it can be very difficult to find one that is weeks or months old. I use the search function to find cards all day long!

Cons

Sometimes it can feel bit clunky. For instance, I don't like how clicking anywhere on the card closes the description field and gives you the message of "Unsaved edits have been made". It should just automatically save when you click off of the text box. This happens to me regularly and is a continual source of frustration and waste of time. Moving cards using drag and drop often fails and leaves cards where they started. Because of this glitch, I usually use the dropdown list on the card to move it instead. But it would be nice if the drag and drop was more reliable.

### "Trello is an Easy to Learn and Use project Management Tool for Small and Large Teams"

August 9, 2022

5.0

I have had a great experience with Trello. As I mentioned in previous answers, I have used Trello for many years to manage projects. It is one of the first SAAS (software as a service) programs that I have used and it is one of my favorites.

Pros

Trello is very easy to use and collaborate with others. Unlike other project management tools, I have found very few bugs, and it is very stable. There are also free and paid versions which explains why it has a large user base. If I have to use a freelancer, chances are very good that they have used Trello, and I do not have to spend time teaching them how to use it.

Cons

I have been using Trello for many years, and I cannot find anything that I do not like about using it. If I had to find one issue, I have noticed that sometimes users confuse Workspaces with Boards, but this rare and not a big deal.

Reason for choosing Trello

I had previously managed projects using Excel spreadsheets and later Google Sheets, and fortunately, I found Trello, which has made my life easier.

Cons

### "Great Software for Small Teams"

December 12, 2019

5.0

It is great for small teams that aren't strictly held to a standard for regular sprint cycles. If you want a quick SCRUM or KANBAN experience for a hobby or small project it is perfect. If you're looking to manage a large scale development project, it is not scalable.

Pros

It's very easy to use and extremely flexible for many styles of project management. Using it on several of my side projects not related to the core of my development role, I have been able to easily keep track of progress and manage the workflow for a small team and small projects. The plugins were fun to use as well. I really liked the "aging cards" effect for cards that haven't moved through the workflow fast enough.

Cons

As a developer on many projects, Trello became cumbersome when we needed to scale and manage multiple projects. I wanted to, but the costs and features seemed to limit the scope of what we could do with various agile teams on numerous projects. I think it would have worked, but our contractors were looking for something more along the lines of JIRA for software development project management. We never got to try out multiple features or plugins with Trello as a whole. I did get to use it to manage my tasks related to JIRA issues, which was okay, but I eventually opted for tasks in JIRA. In short, it is hard to clearly define sprints and tasks for those sprints without having to repeatedly create new labels or new boards to separate sprints.

### "First to market, but not in first place"

May 13, 2020

4.0

As a personal tool, I can confidently recommend Trello as the free tier provides plenty of room to manage your personal day-to-day tasks. As a professional task or project management platform, there are now better options out there, although there is a big dollop of personal preference involved in these types of software solutions.

Pros

Trello is a really good personal and professional task project manager. I've used it in both of these capacities and I must admit, it worked better for me in my personal life than professional. As a personal tool, the free tier is really generous and you'll be able to track, organise and manage daily tasks and projects around the house with ease. As a professional tool, it just didn't quite get there. While the onboarding was really easy and the team got into the swing of it pretty quickly, once we started to integrate into our workflow, there were some hiccups we just couldn't solve. Don't get me wrong, getting boards set up, people assigned to tasks and uploading supporting documents was easy. There are some nice additions like adding designs to boards to give the creative members of your team an outlet to personalise their spaces and the board and task setup results in a really robust and detailed view of what's in your pipeline. The app is a really good partner to the desktop version and let's you do everything from your phone that you could do on the web version, with a caveat here and there.

Cons

Once we got into the workflow part we started to realise the limitations of the software on our particular process. To elaborate, we were using the software to manage tasks such as creative output workflow, advertising schedules and external partner projects. Now this is going to be the personal preference part, it just didn't feel natural the way Trello organises these processes. Moving tasks from step-to-step and the way documents were handled within each task/board didn't fit naturally with how we ran high volume task flow. I think in the end, some team members became frustrated with the day-to-day method of manually updating task status and the lack of automation with regards to tasks hitting certain milestones.

Problems which is solved using Trello - Project Management, task management, looking at task progress, tracking project progrss, trakcing teams log time and reports. Trello has great benefits - it saves our time on porject collaboration, document management, onboarding clients, fulfillment etc.

Pros

Trello boards, cards, lists helps us in managing different projects and assign task to different members is an amzing features which is very helpful for us. The Workflow Management and automation helps in increasing the productivity. Everything is easy to use in Trello . It was easy to integrate trello with the current business.

Cons

Things which I can say missing in trello:- 1) Screen recording feature which is available in ClickUp is missing here. 2) Direct integration with bunch of third party tools are missing here though trello is having some. Nothing else apart from this I can say on trello is missing or which I dislike.

### "we doubled our productivity without doubling our team size"

June 28, 2021

5.0

We would often lose track of key project timelines with other software that wouldn't properly sync across multiple devices or have all team members properly up to date on project activities and updates. With Trello, Management has been able to better plan individual projects, monitor staff performance on tasks, and boost our overall productivity by more than 200%.

Pros

Adding attachments to unto cards has been the most practical feature of trello being used by our team. With this we don't necessarily have to dig into Dropbox each time to pull up a relevant file, we could access them readily via their associated task cards. Also being able to easily generate project reports and display them on boards not only allows us to keep ahead of pending activities, but also celebrate the little milestones and achievements.

Cons

For a new user, it takes quite a bit of time to get used to all the advanced features available. And the various integrations with multiple other software can make the entire process a bit overwhelming sometimes.

### "Amazing software, a must-have for all small businesses and professionals! "

June 12, 2021

5.0

Amazing. I am using the free version with my business and I am very very happy. I check it daily and, through Trello, I can be updated on all that is going on without needing to disturb my team members!

Pros

On one screen you are able to see all of the important information that you need. This can be easily categorised into columns of cards. The cards themselves are amazing because they allow for customisation and for the inputting of a variety of information. By allowing third-parties to create additional features, Trello can become an easy, highly customisable and affordable way to manage tasks and teams.

Cons

It needs a better calendar function to allow for the same effect that the Board have (showing all cards in one place).

Either too expensive or too complicated. They may have more features but it Is difficult ti implement these as you are hit with all of them at once.

### "Fantastic software for project tracking"

November 21, 2020

5.0

We use trello to track the status of tax returns (from the moment we remind clients to send us stuff to when it is accepted by the IRS), to track the status of potential clients, and also to keep lists of procedures by type (Accounting, Bookkeeping, sales tax, etc)

Pros

My most favorite thing is the Kanban Board view and labels. They make it so easy to track where projects are so multiple people working on something can see what needs to be done vs. what is already done and who is working on it! It is incredibly user friendly whether you're on a computer, a phone, or even using the app! I like that we can attached files not only from our devices but also from Google Drive. Finally, the price is really inexpensive, so when we add someone to our team we don't have to decide if it's worth it to add them!

Cons

The only thing it really seems to be missing is having the gmail thread as part of trello, instead of having to pay for a third party add-on. We'd also like the ability to export a board+lists to excel.

Reason for choosing Trello

Trello had the best pricing, especially since we wanted to have multiple users, and the gmail add-on that lets us create cards from email is really useful!

### "I'd be lost without Trello"

November 22, 2022

5.0

Trello has changed our work for the better. I honestly don't know how to operate without it!

Pros

Trello is so easy to use and even with nearly 4 years of daily use, I am still figuring out new ways I can use Trello at work. The emails and tutorials are super helpful as well.

Cons

I cannot think of any cons. If there is something "lacking" we can usually find a solution with power-ups.

Reason for choosing Trello

The great non-profit rate, the ability to have so many users, boards, etc. Trello has amazing resources for tutorials and best practices.

### "Trello, garantía de efectividad "

September 25, 2022

5.0

Reason for choosing Trello

Lo recomendaron como un software increíble que nos daría una mano ayuda en la empresa.

### "Great app, simple and well organized"

April 19, 2023

4.0

In general, Trello has helped me manage my business in a more organized manner, as I own an advertising company and work on more than one project, and my team includes designers, content writers, managers, and marketers. Trello was like a magic wand through which I was able to manage businesses and distribute tasks through one platform in a simple way.

Pros

What I like most about the application is its simplicity and its ability to manage businesses and distribute tasks to road users in an easy and organized way

Cons

The worst thing about the application is that it does not support many languages
