### "Working together with Trello"

April 7, 2021

5.0

Trello is the best we have use for managing some part of our ongoing project that need a collaboration between me and my team, and sometime if client is needed to get involved with the project progress. It is more easy to communicate and collaborate in this software than using other software for collaboration.

Pros

All of Trello feature has help me and my team to work together and collaborate on our work, project and task really easy from only this single software. Using the cards and and grouping all the card will create a very organized list of task and process that i can tracked all the cards progress easily from the board.

Cons

I think the cards template is not easily editable and i need to choose the correct card template from the start to fit the card with my objective. Trying to change or edit the card template afterwards is not easily done and will make the cards not working correctly.

Switched from

[Bitrix24](https://www.capterra.com/p/113540/Bitrix24/)

I like Trello cards and board better as they are more easy to move task around and the collaboration tools are more superior.

### "Trello all in one"

September 4, 2023

4.0

Pros

It’s very easy to use, you can add all your tasks and projects to it. You can communicate with your team and upload your data. It helps you to organise your daily work and make it easier to find.

Cons

I can’t change my background photo, and sometimes it works slowly on the ipad.

### "Free project organization software at its best"

July 28, 2021

4.0

The projects with other partners and employees got much easier to manage and to prioritize critical activities. A software like Trello is a helping hand for those who are lost in email folders and need to put everything in one single place.

Pros

The cards layout, organization, customization and task completion track are the best of Trello. It is easy to find what still need to be done, what is about to be finished and what is already done. The layout of the main page of the project is highly customizable, which is great for any project needs. The option to drag a card from a list to another makes everything easy and intuitive (after you learned what to do things).

Cons

For starting users, Trello might get confusing for not having a quick tutorial or a quick guide through the tools. I had to watch YouTube videos to understand what to do next. But after a few videos I got exactly what I had to do. It turned out very easy to use. A guide for the tools would be great.

### "The best product for tracking around"

April 9, 2021

5.0

I love it.

Pros

Everything is user friendly and customizable. It's makes collaboration a snap and you can very quickly get a sense of where everything is and where everything is going.

Cons

Download image files is tricky with the software. It's the only real flaw, you can do it, it just takes another step than should be necessary and it's mildly annoying.

### "Good for Managing Small tasks"

May 23, 2022

4.0

Using Trello is an excellent way to manage projects. Its visual card structure makes it easy to navigate. Users can easily create tasks, assign team members to each card, and update the status of individual tasks. Additionally, users can tag each other and comment on any card, keeping conversations centralized on each task. This allows for easier communication between team members. Whether it's a family vacation or managing a million-pound project, Trello is an excellent way to track progress.

Pros

Trello is a good option if your team doesn't need native financial management features. It is ideal for most project teams and is flexible enough to accommodate a wide range of work styles and needs. It offers an extensive knowledge base, support ticket forms, and phone support for paying customers. With over one hundred integrations, it has become a hub for cross-team collaboration. Moreover, you don't have to undergo a lengthy onboarding process. Once you sign up, you can join teams right away.

Cons

One of the biggest drawbacks of Trello is its lack of reporting and analytics capabilities. You can export card details, but you'll never be able to get a full picture of a project's progress without reports. If you're looking for reporting power, you can pay for a power-up that will enable you to create reports for your board and integrate it with various tools. Other integrations you can add to Trello include Slack channel attachments and calendar views. You can also embed interactive boards within various third-party applications.

### "Trello, the Collaboration Giant"

May 12, 2020

4.0

Trello is helping us to solve the issue of collaboration and time tracking on our projects. We can now easily see work being done by each individual and even the time they spend. It has also solved our communication challenges by automating email notifications

Pros

Trello really made our development team work better. The fact that you can line up tasks in lists and set card owners and due dates really did it for us. It is a very easy tool to use as setting up the board is just drag and drop. The vast number of power ups available also allowed us to extend its functionality and get more from the app. Another key feature that we fell in love with is the activity history that allows just a quick glance of recent board activity.Integration with our process was very easy as we follow the Agile methodology

Cons

Of the improvements that I think can be done in Trello, one critical one would be native integration with the google calendar. This will be a huge benefit for planning and logging work on the calendar. Another downside is that there is no built in functionality for reporting and a Gantt chart. These would make life easier if added.

### "Perfect for homeschool lesson planning"

September 18, 2020

5.0

Pros

Trello makes it incredibly easy for me to create a weekly lesson plan and share it with my homeschooled 9th grader. I have a list of cards for each day of the school week, each card representing a different subject. When opened, the card reveals a checklist with that day's assignments. My student works at her own pace, moves cards to different days if needed, etc. I can check her progress at any time via web or mobile, and at the end of the week, I copy the board and update it with the following week's lesson plan. Perfect!

Cons

I honestly can't think of a thing I don't like about Trello. It has made the administrative part of homeschooling a pleasure!

### "From sceptic to devotee!"

March 4, 2020

5.0

I use Trello for a wide range of things in my business. Monthly tasks, Sales tracking, production of my YouTube channel, and on and on.

Pros

I was hearing things about Trello for a long time before I decided to take the plunge. When I did, I haven't looked back. Trello is, for me, where all of the moving parts of my business come together. It's the easiest way to delegate a clear set of tasks to virtual freelancers as well. If you want your business to grow faster without micro-management then this is absolutely the tool for you!

Cons

I have run into trello difficulties when starting some new tasks off in there. I would love some kind of clever template option that gives me alternative ways to use trello depending on what I want to track and manage. Sales funnels are very different to running the production of my YouTube Channel for instance. I've had to do some trial and error which took a bit of time up.

### "We can automate the planning and follow-up of projects"

January 1, 2023

5.0

Trello has a lot of things that help the project management team to excel, as it increases our ability to control all aspects of the project, and our keenness to update tasks in the required time, in addition to that development that we added to the project databases as well as the various records, as everything has become Organized and easy to access.

Pros

Trello, with its built-in board system, gives us a comprehensive view of all project activities, colleague updates, and various alerts. I greatly appreciate Trello's different presentation capabilities, as we can choose from several distinct presentation methods that suit us, which gives us enough flexibility while performing tasks. Trello has tools to collaborate on all the details, especially when creating workflow charts, while updating tasks, and preparing reports. As for automation, it is very useful, as we were able to reflect the effect of updates on the panels directly on the work programs, which helps us to update the closing dates of projects and know the critical activities that affect the workflow automatically.

Cons

The user interface of Trello is easy to customize, and all the tools are easy to use, but some members may use the panels incorrectly, and make the updating and follow-up processes somewhat cumbersome, especially for those who work on writing long texts on them.

### "Trello is very lightweight and easy to use Kanban board tool"

March 19, 2021

5.0

We are using Trello to manage work with our external, extremely agile, start up style subcontractor, while internally we use Jira for all the enterprise reporting. This is a perfect mix of tools for us.

Pros

Easy to use, self-explanatory (no manuals needed), visually attractive and lightweight Kanban board. That's what Trello really is, a best Kanban board on the market.

Cons

Lacks some advanced features that belong into more complex agile systems like even Scrum or SAFe. Not the most perfect tool for project management or reporting beyond the Kanban board (which is the best report though, in the end).

Reason for choosing Trello

It had the best reputation around start up circles.

### "An Efficient and Versatile Organizational Tool"

May 17, 2023

4.0

Overall, my experience with Trello has been extremely positive. It has significantly improved my productivity and helped me stay on top of my tasks. The flexibility of the platform allows me to adapt it to various projects, whether it's managing personal to-do lists or collaborating with a team on complex assignments. Trello's simplicity and versatility have made it an indispensable tool in my daily workflow.

Pros

Trello has been an invaluable tool for managing my projects and tasks efficiently. One of the standout features is its intuitive and user-friendly interface. Navigating through boards, lists, and cards is a breeze, allowing me to easily organize and prioritize my work. The drag-and-drop functionality makes it incredibly convenient to move tasks between different stages of completion. Additionally, the ability to assign due dates, labels, and attachments to cards has greatly enhanced my workflow.

Cons

While Trello is a powerful organizational tool, I have found the reporting and analytics features to be somewhat limited. It would be beneficial to have more comprehensive insights and data visualizations to track progress and identify potential bottlenecks in my projects. Furthermore, although Trello offers a wide range of integrations, I have encountered occasional difficulties in syncing certain third-party apps and tools.

### "Many Have Tried to Replicate, But Mostly They Justs Complicate"

June 30, 2018

5.0

It is my everything tool. Task management, project management, team collaboration, you name it. I have it up sort of like a visual dashboard where I can visually see my life.

Pros

Trello is my favorite tool It is very smooth. Visually, it can't be beat. Ease of use, it is number one. It has collaboration built right in. My favoirte thing about Trello is project management. You can create a boade, within it create lists, and then just let your mind do whatever you it does by creating cards and then later sorting them into lists. We typically start with 4 lists. To-do, doing, done, and Brainstorm. If you are looking for some sort of mind mapping softare, this pretty much does the same thing. Create a board (which would be the hub of the mind map) and then create a list called brainstorm and just mind dump whatever comes to mind. Make a new card for anything. Once done, sort those cards into lists, add dates, add todos, do whatever you want and its much easier to use than the alternatives I have seen. I also use trello for Getting Things Done methodology. They even wrote a setup guide you can buy from their site on best practices.

Cons

The native windows app did not impress me for some reason. I can't really put my finger on it. it works good for notifications though. Install it on your phone and tablet, they work great! The website is the best platform. Just use that.

### "The perfect tool to follow up team tasks and projects"

January 3, 2020

5.0

The main use of Trello is the team follow up by following the tasks, the due date and the projects. This is the best tool to work together within a team and to keep all tasks organized and well assigned. Coupled to Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Project, it is the best combination to manage a team and big projects.

Pros

Trello is very easy to understand and to use. The dashboard is very clean and easily useable. There are very high quality features such us assigning tasks to team, with due dates, with priority levels, ... Trello can be integrated to other softwares such us Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams. We also set up a ticketing tool to solve all customer requests and bug reports.

Cons

Nothing I really didn't like about Trello... Maybe be one thing could be improved : it is the history of the actions done on the task and tiles. At the moment, the history is too loaded and sometimes it is not easy to find the most important actions done.

Pros

Super-versatile for anyone who needs to manage a process or project that has more than a single phase. The collaboration of this tool/platform is incredible; helps decrease email/chat use. File management/sharing is great Allows 3rd party modifications (open source)

### "Like a Lite Version of JIRA"

June 14, 2018

4.0

I benefit most by keeping track of where I'm traveling and what I do and do not have booked for a specific trip. I generally travel 2 times per month and try to do so on a budget, so my girlfriend and I are constantly checking prices of transportation and lodging. Trello helps me keep track of what I booked and the dates that the booked things are occurring. It's very helpful because I can look at my plans from a high level and dive into the detail as needed.

Pros

I use the free version of this software strictly for personal reasons and with a group of under 6 people. It's a great tool for creating specific-to-do lists where everything on your list can be grouped under of few categories between identified and complete. Your information is stored in the cloud and is accessible on your laptop and mobile app with little/no interruption. I love how you can attach files, URLs, pictures, pretty much anything to a "card" in your to-do list and move the item down a set of user-defined buckets depending on the stage it's in (basically a kanban board if you are familiar with Agile terminology). I use this most to keep my travel organized (buckets for trip upcoming, transportation booked, lodging booked, travel checklist complete, trip complete)

Cons

There's really only one feature that I do not like about the software and it has to do with the mobile app. The way I use Trello to have different sets of To-do list with different kanban stages for each one...it's rare that items in one of my lists are related to items in another list but when I'm moving a card from one stage (in Trello they call the stages "lists" and a group of lists exists on a "board") to another stage, I always have to choose what board I want to move the card to...the choose board screen doesn't have that great of UX, so I always have to pause and think for a second before continuing even though I would never want to move a card off of the board it's already on.

### "Easy to use freemium project management software"

September 15, 2022

Could live without it, to be honest. One place to manage your work, that's it. But, if you need more features it will increase your costs ENORMOUSLY.

Pros

It is great for low budget teams (like mine) that don't need all the whistles (or can't afford them). Easy to use and understand, makes team onboarding and learning curve really nice. Been using it for 5 years now.

Cons

It changed pricing strategy/plans a few months back and that impacted negative on us (we manage multiple clients). I would like more native free integrations. UX/UI is not that "clean" or "Modern". Mobile app is not that fast, in fact, is quite slow.

### "Great way to keep track of your social media marketing steps"

October 27, 2021

5.0

Once you know what you're using Trello for, it's super easy to use and great to keep your daily business tasks organized. Also, if you were doing everything yourself and then all of a sudden you got help with your social media marketing, Trello is wonderful. You can set up your workflow in there and then anyone can take over and help you get things done in the way you want them to be done. You can also see WHO did what in there in case any task is carried out in a way you didn't like.

Pros

I love that you can add pictures to your boards so that your workflow is visual. That's a really big help. I also love that this system prevents me from forgetting all the steps I want to implement when I'm posting a YouTube video online or doing other social media marketing tasks for my business.

Cons

I had to look outside of Trello in order to be able to fully use it for my business. I had signed up for Trello and barely used it at first because I really didn't know how I should be using it for my business. But, then I caught videos on YouTube of online business owners who were using it and I went back to it and tried again.

### "A User-friendly Tool for a Multitude of Uses"

January 26, 2021

5.0

I've been using Trello for years and it is one of my favorite digital tools. I am always amazed to see how creative users get with their boards. It just so happens that Trello was not a good fit for me as a daily task management tool. But my client uses it in her work flow and adds me as a team member on her boards. That has been working out very well.

Pros

I love that Trello is so visual, flexible, and user-friendly. You can incorporate visuals in various ways. You can display images on the front of cards. For board backgrounds, you can choose a relevant image from Trello's library of free stock images; or you can stick with solid colors. Trello also has fun stickers that you can add to the front of cards. For instance, you can use a checkmark sticker to show that a task is complete; or a happy face or thumbs up emoji to show an idea has been approved. I love that creating and moving elements such as cards, lists, and boards is so easy. Trello also has a handy browser extension for saving web content to any list within any board. Trello is also a great collaboration tool. Trello users can add other Trello users as members on their boards so they can work on projects together and monitor each others progress.

Cons

Sometimes when I save items from the web using the browser extension, I don't want the image to display on the cover of the card. I wish I could turn the image "off" right when I'm saving it, or maybe configure my preference globally. Right now the only way I know of is to disable the cover image from within the card after it's been saved.

### "Adequate and Worthwhile"

November 1, 2019

3.0

Trello is easy to use and adequate for most things you would need to use it for. If you have a well-organized scrum team, chances are you will need something more robust like Clubhouse or Jira, but it's a great place to start.

Pros

Trello is free. That is the best thing about it. I would never pay for it, but since it's free I use it all the time. It's basic project/list management software, where you have cards and you can organize them into lanes to keep track of what you are doing, need to do, or whatever. The great thing about Trello is that you can have as many lanes as you want, and name them whatever you want. The cards can be color coded if you want, and you can attach images and links in them, so you can put as much information as you want in a single card. I use it mostly to track my to do list in my personal life and in my business life, and it's nice, because you can invite other people to your boards so that they can add cards and move things around too. So a good solution for staying organized with your spouse or a small team of people.

Cons

There is a bug in Trello where every now and then if you have had it open in a tab in your browser, and you haven't been to that tab in a while, it freezes when you go to it and try to do something. A simple refresh of the page solves the problem, but it is annoying all the same. It probably happens to me 2-3 times during each work week. Also, there are some functions, like adding a label to a card, that take too many clicks to do, and so get a little tedious if you need to label a lot of cards at once. It would be nice if you could check mark a bunch of cards and make a bulk change to them all at once.
