Teacher Education Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Basic, Useful, but could use improvements " August 3, 2025 4.0 Initially it was nice to make separate to do list for budget, task to get done, so on. And I like how within each tab you can create more tabs and it’s fairly easy to figure out and organize your tabs. I like how you can color code each tab. It would be nice to have an easier way to archive and delete. And find something you accidentally archive. Pros It is fairly easy to see most of what you’re doing in one look. I like how you can grab and slide different topics around and delete easily. I organize my budget on this. But there’s definitely some downsides. Cons It has its downsides. It’s not 100% what I would like to have in a way to keep my things organized. It’s a lot of manual work. It would be nice if I could preset topics in and reuse and repeat. Also, it would be nice to be a little more colorful and more graphics. It’s a little 2 dimensional. I rather and often use another app more, but it’s only before I already have a way of doing my budget on Trello, that I keep using it. But I feel it could totally be updated more. It’s hard to explain but in comparison, Simplish is the alternative app that I like more in a lot of ways. But there’s downsides to that as well. Review Source NF Nelson F. Our team found it easy to use and maintain. It is free to start, and even the paid tiers are good value. Plenty of third party integrations provide most missing features and functionality. Pros Trello is easy to set up, maintain and use. It provides a flexible kanban solution, with many integrations and a generous free plan. Trello works well on laptop, tablet and phone, with great email and push notifications. It provides simple project managment. Cons Trello lacks advanced reporting functionality, like Gantt charts. Pros It's both intuitive and full of interesting features. It can suit simple tasks, like planning homework, but also help you to manage big and complex projects. We stopped using a different project management tool since Trello had all the features we were needing. Pros They are constantly adding new features that they see fit and have modernized the UI and included features that have made things more efficient and organized for my team. The ticket templates are cleaner. I am seeing less bugs in terms of their integrations with Github and attaching PRs. Cons Nothing I can think of. As someone who receives tasks in many different ways (emails, teams messages, project plans), the integration within microsoft applications is really useful. Pros Super easy to use and intuitive. Love the ability to add rules to automate my to-do lists. I love the integration with Outlook and Teams. I find Trello a good way to organise my time and tasks, especially as I work across multiple teams. Cons I wouldn't say there is anything I didn't like about Trello. If anything, I would say after 14 days of having premium, I wouldn't say it's worth it, but maybe I didn't utilize the features much. Cons When you finish the task, it doesn't give you the same satisfaction as crossing the list off paper. Also for the small task, it's still better to write a list in the paper. Pros Easy to use even for beginner. Alot of flexibility when it comes to boards. Really good for teams, which what i used it mostly for. As part of a programming team working on it project, it made it easy to keep track of current issues and bugs, tasks, whats being worked on, etc... Mainly using the free plan was enough in our case and that is a very good thing to have in a software. Cons Although u can tag team members directly in trello, there is no option to have a sort of real time Chat which could be really nice. My client recommended it and after I used it I haven't looked back. It's easy to use and affordable. I plan to keep using it. Pros One of my clients encouraged me to start using Trello. And I love it! It's really easy to use and there are so many great features. What I like most about it is the Automation feature. Being able to create rules for each board is what I like most. It's made me more productive than I thought I'd ever be. Cons There's nothing that I dislike about Trello. I'm organized and getting things done and that's thanks to Trello. You can just drag and drop cards to track progress, which makes it easy for everyone on the team to see exactly where a project stands at a glance. I also love how easy it is to add attachments, labels, and due dates without the interface feeling cluttered. Cons Once a board gets really busy with dozens of cards and several columns, it starts to feel a bit messy and harder to navigate. (Like a real white board, etc.) Pros The real time team use is very helpful! In the (distant?) past my team used Sharepoint to track updates to projects and tasks, so Trello was a very big upgrade! It’s organisational features make it easy to see where I am at a glance at a detailed task level. Pros The interface is very intuitive and helps me to clear my head and be organized and productive. I like the concept of workspaces and ability to but graphics as background that reflect some meaning to me regarding the project. Moving tasks around to different states is so easy and intuitive! Cons Have to think hard on this since I like it so much. No comment editing and lack of admin ability to restrict access at granular level.
