### "Effective collaboration made easy"

December 11, 2025

4.0

Very positive. Has helped us to collaborate and share ideas and brain storm far more effectively. Works great for our hybrid teams.

Pros

Its quick and easy to build ideas, diagrams and helpful to communicate especially for remote and hybrid teams. The quick ability to go into the "Lucid" mode to draw more complex diagrams and images is great. The team exercises is a brilliant features that helps collaboration massively.

Cons

Permissions and sharing is complicated and it isn't always clear which is the best way to share. Not everyone in our organization has lucid and its sometimes tricky to collaborate. Its possible but you have to use a specific share mode (with password) and so that can cause friction.

We were already using Lucid for diagraming and the integration with Lucidspark made it a Lucidspark a better option with greater value for money.

### "Lucidspark points of interest and improvements "

December 26, 2025

4.0

It has been okay for the price point it’s been set at though I do wish there was more meaningful integration of multiple screens windows or inputs such as a computer and laptop

Pros

I like how fluid the use of the whiteboard is for visualization of math concepts and helps improve some learning techniques of students who rely on the visual cues

Cons

Importing files to access on the whiteboard can be difficult and leads to weird sizing orientation or quality of the file

### "An important tool in my project software stack."

July 19, 2026

5.0

I use Lucidspark for project ideation, and for interactive project reviews. It is an important time saver that ensures that I am on the same page with my project stakeholders.

Pros

I like that I can work in tandem with everyone in my project group together and simultaneously, to map out execution plans for assignment project tasks and deliverables. Whether it be user research, brainstorming or project visioning , Lucidspark puts everyone on the same page .

Cons

I find that Lucidspark is not dynamic enough for me. It does not support user generating statistical graphs or charts that can be edited..

### "The Paywall Is Ridiculous"

November 16, 2025

3.0

Pros

Lucidspark is a great app. I use the app for personal use and the documents are very secure, my data hasn't been leaked. I personally haven't had to use the customer support, but I'm sure its great. It's effortless to manage my projects. The features are very diverse and work as intended. The collaboration is by far it's best feature, works extremely well and has little to no bugs.

Cons

The subscription price is ridiculous, $108 per year. The worst part about the subscription service is that they limit you to three separate whiteboards on the free plan. That is redundant, how are you supposed to use this for work-related purposes on a free trial, for those who can't afford such a fee?

The software for Whiteboard Fox was extremely glitchy and would delete your whiteboards after a period of time, while lucidspark does not.

### "Great for team collaboration and mind-mapping"

April 20, 2026

4.0

A great tool that has increased our teamwork and collaboration across our company, and improved our staff's understanding and compliance with new process flows

Pros

We have used Lucid for over 4 years and have found it to be an incredible tool for mind-mapping and creating valuable process flows for our business. Lucid features a strong approvals feature, allowing us to track progress of each document we created, ensuring all of our stakeholders collaborate and agree before finalising the document. Lucid is a competitively priced application, offering great value for money with a huge amount of pre-made templates and shapes.

Cons

The customer support is often too intrusive, pressuring for further licenses and warning about the security of the users.

### "LucidSpark - Amazing Program"

May 12, 2025

5.0

It is a great product. I'm still figuring out how to utilize it more for my business. Inspiration isn't always instantaneous. I know my employees have liked it but probably not as much as I have.

Pros

I think my favorite thing is the mind mapping capability. It also allows me to share my maps with other people in the office. Although the other people did not collaborate as I had hoped, they were able to see my thoughts on different topics for out business meeting.

Cons

In my other mind mapping program (X-Mind), I am able to collapse points down and expand them out easily. This can be done programmatically right now but I didn't want to create layers and program this.

### "Great for Catching Sparks (Ideas), But Not the Tool to Fuel a Bonfire. (Entire Project)"

June 21, 2022

4.0

In my opinion, the pros, and cons are pretty evenly balanced, making Lucidspark a no-go for me. At least it would have been for me had I been evaluating integration for the whole company. Fortunately, all I did was collect and tally votes, including my own "Maybe," in the engineering team opinion poll after trialing the product. While I occasionally still use Lucidspark, other programs remain my go-to.

Pros

The virtual whiteboard, idea collection and organization, and remote-first approach are among Lucidspark's top attributes.

Cons

Onboarding/learning to use the software effectively and efficiently was a bit of a challenge, and without prior Lucidchart experience might be a dealbreaker.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Lucidspark

Ultimately, we chose not to switch to Lucidspark and continued using Invision Freehand as our primary shared whiteboarding software. Some improvements have also been made to Microsoft Whiteboard recently. Although it currently lacks the feature to be a viable contender in the space, it shows potential promise for the future.

### "Great diagram drawing tool"

February 27, 2026

5.0

I like lucidspark because it is more flexible when drawing diagrams compare to lucidchart, also drawing are more smooth too.

Pros

Lucidspark is a total game-changer for project collaboration, making it feel like my team is in the same room even when we're miles apart. The features are surprisingly intuitive, especially the way it lets us turn a messy brainstorm into a structured plan with just a few clicks. It’s a massive productivity booster because we no longer waste time trying to translate "whiteboard photos" into actual tasks. While it’s not the cheapest option out there, the value for money is clear since it replaces three or four other clunky tools. Honestly, it’s the best investment we’ve made for keeping our creative momentum alive.

Cons

If lucidspark can provide a better AI way to generate diagram, that will be great, or have a template for use to use.

### "Easy to use + collaborate!"

July 28, 2025

5.0

Using Lucidspark is a dynamic and engaging experience, especially for teams focused on collaboration and creativity. The platform offers a flexible digital canvas where users can brainstorm ideas, map out processes, and work together in real time.

Pros

Lucidspark is an intuitive, cloud-based virtual whiteboard that enhances team collaboration and brainstorming. It allows users to sketch, organize, and refine ideas in real time, making it ideal for remote or hybrid teams. With features like sticky notes, voting, comments, and templates, it supports agile workflows and creative ideation.

Cons

Despite its strengths, Lucidspark may be overwhelming for new users unfamiliar with digital whiteboarding tools. Its rich feature set can lead to cluttered boards if not managed well, reducing clarity. Performance can lag with large or complex boards, particularly on lower-end devices.

### "Great mouse-usable tool"

June 9, 2025

4.0

Pros

I think while it wasn't the most intuitive to use at first, the ability to express my ideas visually, and the fact that it is so mouse-optimized is what I like best about it.

Cons

I'd say there's a whole lot of the UI that I don't use just because I don't have a use case for them, I would like to hide them in some way.

### "Highly recommend!!!"

July 14, 2025

5.0

Absolutely fantastic experience! Integrates with all my company software seamlessly. Love LucidSpark!

Pros

User friendly. Easy to integrate with draw.io code file. I thought I would have a difficult time as my diagram was ion a draw.io file, but I just upload the file and LucidSpark did the rest! Highly recommend.

Cons

There is absolutely nothing I would change or recommend to make this a better user experience. LucidSpark is the best.

Really positive and has enabled me to work virtually more efficiently

Pros

The ease of interactivity and how it has everything you need in one whiteboard and the templates that can be used and amended to your needs

Cons

There's no simple cheat sheet for facilitators of the whiteboard to share with workshop attendees to have a quick lesson on how to use

### "An great whiteboard that helps us collaborate to find the best ideas."

December 7, 2022

5.0

Lucidspark enabled us to cooperate more effectively, and kept our meetings always open so that we could express our opinions on all proposals at any time, which helped us a lot by collecting all ideas and linking them properly.

Pros

Lucidspark is the best whiteboard linked to the cloud, where we can easily access it and also the user interface is easy to understand, where we can find all the tools we need effortlessly. I really appreciate the huge capabilities that Lucidspark provides us with, which makes collaborating with the rest of the team on preparing workflow diagrams as well as collecting ideas very enjoyable. I like very much using shapes, adding texts and images, coordinating them, and also adding certain colors to them so that they indicate either suggested modifications or additions and notes that you have included on the original form. I very much appreciate the sharing capabilities of the proposed models, as there are many options, which eliminates the need for us to use auxiliary programs for that. Also, the ready-made models help us a lot and give us a lot of ideas that help us quickly implement the schemes that we need.

Cons

I didn't find anything to dislike about Lucidspark, as it's intuitive and easy to use for everyone with different occupations, and I find it very responsive compared to other similar apps.

### "Great Visual Aid Tool To Use In Your Business"

September 27, 2021

5.0

As a Business & Marketing Coach it is crucial that I have strategic plans and steps for clients to go through and complete so they can reach their goals. Lucidspark helps me achieve this as well as helps me to continue to develop programs, webinars, courses and more for future revenue sources. I began using Lucidspark because I was introduced through Lucid Mindmapping (I was a paid subscriber to this). When they created their Lucidspark software they introduced to their audience. I was immediately taken in by it and loved it. Their post-it boards are customizable from templates to colors and more. I began using it even more than their mindmapping tool. This became my visual aid go to tool.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use. You can jump right in and begin without needing training.

Cons

The one con would probably be cost, although fair it not affordable for many micro businesses.

### "Amazing for Collaborative Whiteboarding"

March 16, 2023

5.0

I really like the real-time collaboration feature which allows our remote teams to work together seamlessly and this ensures productivity.

Pros

Lucidspark allows us to use a variety of sketching tools to freely sketch, annotate, and draw on the virtual whiteboard.

Cons

Lucidspark has limited compatibility with some browsers and it affects the accessibility for some of my workmates.

### "Getting familiarized"

December 16, 2020

4.0

I have used it lightly for documenting my thoughts but I have not given it too much use since I consider I wouldn't be able to use with my team at a higher scale.

Pros

I just started using it to have a place to document my understandings about a project I'm just starting to work with. I think it's very easy to understand, has all of the nice things I like about Lucidchart and I briefly tried to find ways to make it work during my Scrum meetings.

Cons

I could have not really grasped the price structure but at a high level it looked pretty expensive to me. I have a personal membership for Lucidchart that I use for my professional work and I don't mind paying for it. But from what I understood, Lucidspark would be far too expensive for me to get considering the size of my teams. Additionally I was not able to find any option within the tool that I could use to test the tool with a small crew or an option to use it with my whole team although with limited functionality.

### "Great software, but confused on why Lucidspark is separate from Lucidchart"

June 21, 2021

5.0

Pros

A great tool to be able to brainstorm in a virtual environment! Everyone feels their opinions are heard when they visually see it on the Lucidspark page. Additionally, being able to share the document to co-workers is very valuable for preparation for a discussion session.

Cons

How many accounts needed to collaborate can be tough. It would be great if we can have a LucidChart account be the host while giving guests access to anyone without them having to create an account. This way we can remain agile without a large number of unnecessary accounts being made. Additionally, its a bit confusing on the different capabilities of the Lucidspark program and LucidChart, as it feel that both have strong brainstorming functions. Wish they were together in one package.

### "Visual Project Management"

February 14, 2023

5.0

When I worked for a company big enough understand the ROI for a subscription it was my favorite work tool and helped me clearly and easily communicate project details and updates across my 53-person team instantly.

Pros

I loved that I could easily create boards to manage and update projects. I could share project updates with my team in real time without having to inundate them with emails that go unread. And I could receive feed back clearly and easily from key team members.

Cons

Cost. I have since changed companies and for a small business the ROI for an annual subscription is not something that I can sell to our decision makers.

### "LucidSpark is a must have for Remote work"

November 27, 2023

5.0

Love it, great addition to the other tools we use and really great team product.

Pros

I love the collaborative aspect of the tool, being able to follow others and all work simultaneously on one sheet and not have to save and wait to see updates others have made, it's a game changer, also lots of extra functionality that makes it incredibly useful for presentations...etc.

Cons

I think it's a bit tricky to learn how to use to start, there is SO much functionality it can be a bit overwhelming, I also think it can get a bit silly on the chats and team messaging stuff.

### "Lucidspark JIRA integration makes software project planning/management feel sane "

September 29, 2023

5.0

I've been able to communicate project statuses and blockers way more easily than before.

Pros

It's the JIRA integration. It provides interactive JIRA cards you can place on a diagram that automatically update when JIRA updates are made like card status changes. Also, you can update the card status right from the diagram card too!

Cons

I think I would like to see a few more shapes/widgets for technical diagramming. Because there are other features about Lucidspark that make it way more attractive for technical project diagramming as opposed to Lucidchart.

### "Great, friendly, easy to use tool!"

May 24, 2021

5.0

My experience has been pretty positive. I haven't needed much support but when I do they are responsive. The system allows for some room to be creative and I like that I'm given that space to do that.

Pros

I really enjoy how Lucidspark is able to provide me with a way to visualize what we are working on. Whether in my previous role as a product manager or now as I process engineer my team at Mayo. I love how simple it is to make a simple or complex diagram to define, focus or clarify areas of our department that we are responsible for. My team can clearly see what's in front of them and better understand the project or process we are looking at.

Cons

Honestly, I don't have anything that I least like. I enjoy how you can use a template or start from scratch and create whatever you need. It's pretty flexible once you get the hang of it.

Reason for choosing Lucidspark

I chose Lucidspark because I had used it in my previous job and relied on it so much that I couldn't think of not using it here.
