Overall we love Moss. We originally went out looking for just an expense reclaim system, but went with Moss rather than an expenses only system as we could see the potential in the virtual card system. For expenses, our employees love it, it's a huge improvement on the manual systems we were using before. Worth being aware that the system doesn't really support policing limits on individual purchases (eg £X for dinner or hotel) so you need to use the other control features it has such as the approval workflow for expenses, and card spending controls for cards.

Pros

Moss is an absolute pleasure to use. Expense (reimbursement) submission is straightforward. Employees find claiming reimbursements and submitting card receipts really simple. We're finding compliance with submitting receipts pretty high. We're using the cards for more and more spend as the cards give so many options and are so easy to control. In finance the cards give us fantastic visibility of what's being spent. It's easy to load receipts and chase missing receipts. The card spending controls are pretty customisable, and we've used pretty much all the different card types for different use cases (virtual, physical, merchant cards, one time project cards). The email mailbox and auto matching of receipts is great for email receipts. Cashback on the card spend is great as well and has the potential to offset a fair amount of the platform fees.

Cons

No substantial negatives. There have been a few minor glitches along the way (the odd card payment which hasn't worked, an expense submission which has got frozen) but no more than you'd expect for any card provider or piece of software. I don't think it currently supports VAT reclaim for mileage in the UK.

### "Straightforward corporate financing app"

Since introducing Moss at our company, our expenditure processes have significantly streamlined. Having the ability to create cards for each member of staff makes managing corporate finance easy. Designated authorisers ensures swift action and it's great that we can give staff autonomy to make purchases within defined parameters/budgets.

Pros

The interface is really user friendly and straightforward. I like that Moss has an both a desktop version as well as app. The app makes it super easy to add receipts to transactions on the go.

Cons

I like all the features that Moss has introduced, and everything is really fast and responsive so there isn't anything I dislike about Moss.

Cons

Export to xero could be better as there are often slight mistakes between the two based on the dates. Also support could be a bit more responsive, they do not have a 24 hours support facility

Pros

Fantastic all in one solution for managing corporate credit cards, reimbursements and invoices through a single platform. Works extremely well with our HR software (Charlie HR) as well as our Accounting Platform (Xero). Has good approval flows and the ability to make payments through the platform (including scheduled payments). All in it's highly recommended if your looking to upgrade your finance tech stack! Last thing is that their customer service team is fantastic as well as their product team who are always receptive to receiving feedback, which is often added added to their product roadmap.

Cons

If I'm honest not much, we've been one of their first customers in the UK and I can only a very positive experience

It's been great so far. The product seems to continuously being worked on as we see new features being added regularly.

Pros

It is very user-friendly and flexible. It helped us streamline some of the work our Finance Team was doing. I like the fact that an unlimited number of users can have access to the platform and that the pricing is transactions based.

Cons

Sometimes encountered a few hiccups with managing the email forwarding feature but nothing really bad to report.

Overall, our experience with Moss has been very positive. It’s significantly better than traditional methods of collecting and managing receipts, and it’s helped streamline our expense processes across the company. It’s particularly valuable for teams that travel frequently, as it removes a lot of the friction and admin involved. Over time it’s proven to be dependable, easy to adopt, and a clear improvement on older systems.

Pros

Having used Moss for several years now, it’s become a really reliable part of how we manage expenses as a team. The biggest advantage is how easy it makes capturing receipts and tracking spend, especially when travelling overseas. Instead of chasing paper receipts or trying to organise everything after the fact, you can just upload or snap them on the go, which saves a lot of time and hassle. It’s also very clear and intuitive to use, so people actually stick to the process, which isn’t always the case with expense tools.

Cons

There are a few areas where it could be a bit smoother. Occasionally the categorisation or matching of receipts needs manual correction, and some of the workflows could be slightly more flexible depending on how your company is set up. It’s not a major issue, but small usability improvements would make it even better.

I use Moss for expense management due to its user-friendly app, which makes uploading expenses quick and easy. I appreciate having all information in one place and the ability to assign receipts to projects, although connectivity issues occasionally cause uploading problems. We switched from SAP Concur for a cost-effective, user-friendly solution. As a user, setup on my phone was straightforward, and my company has around 220 staff members. I would rate it a nine for its user friendliness.

Pros

I really like that Moss | Spend smarter has an app and is very easy to use. Uploading expenses is quick and straightforward. What makes it really valuable is having everything in one place, and I can assign receipts to specific items or trips, which allows me to create a project or trip and then add receipts to it. I can also take photos of receipts on the go, and the app will analyze and upload them. It's brilliant.

Cons

I guess sometimes if you're struggling for internet signal, it can sort of hold you up or doesn't upload properly.

Uploading receipts is so quick and easy. Notifications are very helpful to remind you to submit any outstanding tasks. The virtual cards are great way to manage company expenses. Authentication is also secure.

Cons

The interface can sometimes be a bit confusing/overwhelming. Maybe an improvement could be a stripped down version with less features so that users who use it for 1 task only don't see other features.

Pros

We use Moss for expense management, virtual cards and travel reimbursements. On the employee side, the entire process for creating reimbursement request is seamless and user-friendly. I think on the finance side, the invoice management is as well quite good. The feature that reads your receipt and pre-fills the fields is extremely helpful and saves time. Overall, the value for money is good.

Cons

The mobile app is a bit unfriendly. Especially, if you're changing the device you need to get in touch with the Customer support team to get help.

I use Moss as an employee in a company. I often need access to company cards to make purchases of software, or to assist me in company trips. Moss is an easy and reliable way to make sure I can have the money in hands for any of moments.

Pros

As an employee who regularly needs access to company cards, Moss has been an incredibly useful and reliable tool. The ability to issue and manage digital cards—especially when paired with Apple Pay—gives me the flexibility and confidence to make work-related purchases on the go. One feature I particularly appreciate is the ability to set spending limits and expiration dates on cards. It adds an extra layer of control and peace of mind, helping me avoid accidental misuse—like nearly charging a personal ride to the company card on Uber. Submitting receipts and invoices is never the most exciting task, but Moss makes it straightforward and quick. Overall, it’s a tool that quietly removes a lot of daily friction, so I can focus on my actual work.

Cons

While I appreciate Moss's focus on security, I’ve found that accessing certain information can be a bit cumbersome. The multiple SMS verifications, although understandable from a safety perspective, sometimes slow me down—especially when I’m in a rush or on the move. One example was during a hotel check-in, when I urgently needed to access my company card details. The website wasn’t responsive on mobile, and trying to navigate it while also waiting for multiple SMS codes made the process unnecessarily stressful. I realize there’s a dedicated mobile app, and I’ll likely switch to using that more regularly, but improving the mobile web experience would go a long way.

Moss is so much easier than our previous manual process, it saves countless hours searching and is easier to administer throughout the month, rather than waiting till the month end. Any time I've needed any help, Moss have been very responsive too.

Sometimes the logging in process falls over, I think that is more down to my work phone that the moss platform though

Pros

Expense management made very easy. Pay by Amos’s, scan the receipt, easily complete description and allocation and that’s it. No slips or other forms to complete.

Cons

For business expenses, I cannot fault it. No need to retain the receipt once scanned it and the rest is for your accounts department to review

simple and easy to use, makes my life easier. I've had other similar products, but this one is the easiest to use.

Pros

Easy to use, whether from a mobile phone or laptop. I can simply upload a photo and the app does the rest itself – very practical.

Cons

I use it on both my phone and laptop, which means I can access it no matter where I am. Uploading receipts is easy—just snap a photo with the app on my phone. It also makes it easy to keep an overview of all my transactions. What I especially value is the high level of security: logging in requires confirmation directly through the app.

Easy to use expense and invoice management software that saves time for my colleagues and myself. I no longer need to keep physical copies of all the receipts.

Pros

For me as an end-user, it is very easy to use this service for expense management, both from app and from web browser.

Cons

I have no idea about the costs, but I can assume it might be costly for my employer to have this SaaS. But again, it solves many issues for both employees and the accounting team. So I would not consider price a \*major\* downside.

It's so quick to take a photo of your receipt after every transaction. Previously we had a manual system where at the end of each month we had to collect photos of reciepts together and email to someone who would then manually add it up. Moss is so efficient.

Cons

You have to have internet connection to log in and upload receipts - would be helpful if you could do it offline which would then sync when you get signal again.

Cons

Full company using moss for receipt management, invoice approval and to enable distributed spend. Would recommend for companies like ours!

Pros

We use Moss at Enter for now about a year and we are quite satisfied with it. I am VP Growth here and for me it has made handling receipts much easier (especially sending fotos of the receipt to an email address for automated matching) as well as having people in my team simply request a one off card for specific expenses.

Cons

The Customer Success Team could train customers even more on using the software fully - still see cards floting around Slack for no reasons

Amazing and easy to use tool! So far, I have not had any issues at all with using Moss. It is really one of the best tools I have used for this purpose.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use Moss! Creating new reimbursement requests or monthly spending cards is super easy, as is uploading receipts.

Cons

I really can't think of anything to say here! Maybe sometimes I find issues with picking a cost center as it can switch post purchase but that is it.

Pros

Simple, effective and easy to set-up. Allows the whole team to operate across multiple different products and options

Cons

The cost can become high with increased usages, although the Moss team is helpful to find solutions for this
