Pros

Fantastic all in one solution for managing corporate credit cards, reimbursements and invoices through a single platform. Works extremely well with our HR software (Charlie HR) as well as our Accounting Platform (Xero). Has good approval flows and the ability to make payments through the platform (including scheduled payments). All in it's highly recommended if your looking to upgrade your finance tech stack! Last thing is that their customer service team is fantastic as well as their product team who are always receptive to receiving feedback, which is often added added to their product roadmap.

Cons

If I'm honest not much, we've been one of their first customers in the UK and I can only a very positive experience

Overall we love Moss. We originally went out looking for just an expense reclaim system, but went with Moss rather than an expenses only system as we could see the potential in the virtual card system. For expenses, our employees love it, it's a huge improvement on the manual systems we were using before. Worth being aware that the system doesn't really support policing limits on individual purchases (eg £X for dinner or hotel) so you need to use the other control features it has such as the approval workflow for expenses, and card spending controls for cards.

Pros

Moss is an absolute pleasure to use. Expense (reimbursement) submission is straightforward. Employees find claiming reimbursements and submitting card receipts really simple. We're finding compliance with submitting receipts pretty high. We're using the cards for more and more spend as the cards give so many options and are so easy to control. In finance the cards give us fantastic visibility of what's being spent. It's easy to load receipts and chase missing receipts. The card spending controls are pretty customisable, and we've used pretty much all the different card types for different use cases (virtual, physical, merchant cards, one time project cards). The email mailbox and auto matching of receipts is great for email receipts. Cashback on the card spend is great as well and has the potential to offset a fair amount of the platform fees.

Cons

No substantial negatives. There have been a few minor glitches along the way (the odd card payment which hasn't worked, an expense submission which has got frozen) but no more than you'd expect for any card provider or piece of software. I don't think it currently supports VAT reclaim for mileage in the UK.

Since introducing Moss at our company, our expenditure processes have significantly streamlined. Having the ability to create cards for each member of staff makes managing corporate finance easy. Designated authorisers ensures swift action and it's great that we can give staff autonomy to make purchases within defined parameters/budgets.

Pros

The interface is really user friendly and straightforward. I like that Moss has an both a desktop version as well as app. The app makes it super easy to add receipts to transactions on the go.

Cons

I like all the features that Moss has introduced, and everything is really fast and responsive so there isn't anything I dislike about Moss.

The spend management platform is very helpful in our business for Approval flows, audit trails, reimbursements and the creation of cards and controlling spending around that. The Phone customer support is quick to access and it is able to handle multiple currencies. Their features keep developing too which is good.

Pros

it helps us automate and document a lot of daily processes very well. The use of their card function has helped out controls and visability.

Cons

It does not work as well with US entities. We cannot make payments to the US, unless it is by card which can be restrictive.

Our setup and initiation from staff at Moss has been excellent and all issues and questions attended to quickly. So far it has performed well.

Pros

Moss has really been great at changing the way our staff spend in the UK and throught Europe and the USA. Easy to see the spend accross different departments. The product pricing for our company size was much more competitive than similar competitors offerings. Plus the cash back offer was a huge bonus to cover our finance costs. The invoice AI recognition works amazingly well and saves time having to input details into the expenses.

Cons

Unable to edit accounting details from the APP in the approval flow. Visibility of all the spend for our CFO to view quickly is not the easiest to see.

My experience has been very positive so far so no complaints. It works equally well as a traditional credit card as well as from my Apple wallet.

Pros

I like the expenses reconciliation. Immediately uploading images of receipts directly after purchase save a laborious job at the end of the month not to mention the scramble to find receipts!

It's difficult to think of any negatives as my experience has been very positive so far so no complaints.

It is very user-friendly and flexible. It helped us streamline some of the work our Finance Team was doing. I like the fact that an unlimited number of users can have access to the platform and that the pricing is transactions based.

Sometimes encountered a few hiccups with managing the email forwarding feature but nothing really bad to report.

This is my second company using Moss and I love it! As a user in field sales I have a lot of different expenses. And a lot of invoices. Moss helps me to clear my to dos quickly so I can focus on the important things. The value for the money is totally worth it.

Noting, I really love the functionality that moss uses. Maybe one thing: Not all companies use Moss and tbh they should! Pleo, Finway, etc. is nothing against Moss.

Pros

The app is highly convenient and easy to use on the move when putting through card transactions; pay, upload your receipt via the app and done. No messing about. You can even take the photo via the app to save further time and hassle. Comments can also be added onto transactions allowing you to provide context on payments if necessary.

Cons

Never had any issues with Moss. Flawless experience so far, much better than previous payment systems that I have used.

Efficient expense management, nice to use. A mobile app for when on the fly is a nice touch. I find it easy to use. Was very easy to get used to it.

Pros

It makes it simple to get reimbursed. I love the auto-detection of invoice contents. Different currencies handled with ease. Getting a virtual credit card was easy.

Cons

The only real downside I remember facing was the uploading of multiple invoices has to be done one by one. There was no batch upload.

As a user, my overall experience with Moss is very positive. It really simplifies expenses and reimbursements, letting me focus more on my actual work instead of paperwork.

Pros

I particularly like the mobile image upload feature, because it lets me upload receipts via mobile directly after the purchase, so I don’t have to collect them or worry about losing them before uploading

Cons

Logging in on desktop could be smoother. I’d prefer having the option to receive a login code via email instead of needing to access the mobile app every time. That way, I’m not blocked if my phone isn’t nearby

Pros

Easy to use, whether from a mobile phone or laptop. I can simply upload a photo and the app does the rest itself – very practical.

Cons

I use it on both my phone and laptop, which means I can access it no matter where I am. Uploading receipts is easy—just snap a photo with the app on my phone. It also makes it easy to keep an overview of all my transactions. What I especially value is the high level of security: logging in requires confirmation directly through the app.

It's so quick to take a photo of your receipt after every transaction. Previously we had a manual system where at the end of each month we had to collect photos of reciepts together and email to someone who would then manually add it up. Moss is so efficient.

Cons

You have to have internet connection to log in and upload receipts - would be helpful if you could do it offline which would then sync when you get signal again.

Amazing and easy to use tool! So far, I have not had any issues at all with using Moss. It is really one of the best tools I have used for this purpose.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use Moss! Creating new reimbursement requests or monthly spending cards is super easy, as is uploading receipts.

Cons

I really can't think of anything to say here! Maybe sometimes I find issues with picking a cost center as it can switch post purchase but that is it.

Great tool for expense management. Practical and friendly user. Offer the ability to have a virtual credit card within the app.

Pros

Versatility and reliability, the platform and its app are very practical and well-connected, allowing the user to quickly process transactions and budget availability, and accurate oversight of the expenses to prepare the expense report after a company travel in a fast and easy way.

Cons

The per Diems are not updated or reflect the actual price scenarios for some cities, and that don't give too much room at the moment of the reporting.

As a budget owner, Moss helps me manage expenses and automate accounting. I especially like the automated matching of invoices I receive via email to cost centers.

Pros

I am very pleased to keep expenses under control with individual credit cards per subscription. Also, I no longer have to upload an invoice for all payments. Matching invoices provided via email is a huge time saver.

Cons

Not all invoices can be matched to cost centers yet because there is no standard, but the matching is improving step by step.

Pros

Moss makes expense management incredibly simple. I can issue virtual and physical cards instantly, set spending limits, and track expenses in real-time—all without involving finance. The automation in categorizing expenses and reconciling transactions saves so much time. No more manual approvals or messy reimbursement processes. Everything is structured and runs smoothly in the background.

Cons

There’s honestly not much to complain about. If I had to pick something, it would be that deeper integrations with CRM tools could be useful for tracking sales-related expenses even more efficiently, but this is mostly related to my job as head of sales. But overall, Moss does exactly what we need it to do.
