There is also plenty of support from Zoho if needed! Cons Initial learning curve can be quite steep but once you understand the basics (form>report>page), the rest will fall into place. It's a very good tool for people who want tailored solutions without having to hire a development team. Pros When it comes to flexibility the ability to build a custom apps matched exactly to the workflow. No need for huge and extensive software engineering skills so the value for money is definitely obvious. The drag and drop interface made easy to start with. Integrations with other Zoho products is also great. The security standpoint inspires confidence (compliance features and data permissions). The apps are accessible from everywhere making the cloud services very well handled. Cons Once moving beyond simple apps, the learning curve is a bit steeper. I felt like understanding Zoho's scripting language and logic took some time. Some interface elements and terminology felt intuitive at first but the documentation is extensive. For more advanced users code management seems to be a bit low. Lastly, the customer support is inconsistent and sometimes responses are generic. Cons What I least liked about ZohO was the lack of understanding on how it worked and it wasnt easy to understand when having to learn how to programs and just understanding overall what it was capable of. Cons A lot of the template wizards are aimed at solutions for the States and need a lot of changing around if in the UK. Cons The UI feels a bit dated and the app will lag when working with larger data sets. But for normal uses, it feels good enough. I then got the chance to personalize everything but the initial example was great. Also pricing is fair and adaptable to different situations. Pros It was easy to start using the app creator and I liked the templates to get started. I need different things and it just took me a couple of seconds to navigate the app to get what I needed Cons The indicator that the first 15 days are a free trial is not obvious. But the sales department is no good. I have had a Creator account for 5 years. I decided to upgrade to professional afterwards and they have limited me to 5 Apps, when the professional account is unlimited Apps. Every month they take the full professional debit from my account, but won't give me unlimited Apps. When I asked, they told me is is because I was using the old platform. Someone will get in touch with me. It has been over a month and nobody has got back to me. But they made sure they took their money from me last week..... Pros It has flexibility and if you know what you are doing and have experience in writing scripts and understanding the logics, it is good. Cons The support for sales is not good. Technical support is. The platform is also not for newbies. You literally need to know about writing certain strings of code and what they entail. The companion iPhone app is also excellent and you can easily enter data from the app. The iPad app is perfect as a POS (Point of Sale) companion. Pros The things I like about this software are - 1. It is best for beginners who don't have much knowledge of building complex databases 2. It has a superb way of building databases from the excel sheets. I used to use excel sheets before and when I switched to Zoho, it turned my excel sheets into forms and tables with data in no time at all 3. The types of variables are very good. Every variable a small business owner would need is there. And it automatically selected the best variable type from my excel sheet. 4. The reports are also there easily and are very customisable. 5. There is an excellent knowledgebase also for support Cons The UI could be better. It still feels clunky like a 90s software. Does not take away from the ease of use and functionality, but this is not the software I look forward to using. The colours and general design could be better. Cons Exclusive use of Zoho's deluge language makes any troubleshooting a bit of a challenge since support is not 24/7. If Creator used a standard programming language, we could ask questions through stackoverflow or the general public who knows that language.
