Our favorites are how the tenants can pay the rent, the transaction detail behind the rent, (Several of our tenants have several payments with their rent) and the reporting. Cons Our least favorite feature is the bank reconciliations. It can be a bit tedious if there are many transactions. I used to be inundated with paperwork, but now I am so much more organized. Frankly, DoorLoop is helping me save money while scaling. I also, know one of the owners very well and trust him. And if he is involved, then in addition to DoorLoop being a great software, the company itself is in very good hands. Cons While I am super happy about being one of the first users (we call ourselves Loopers), I wish I could have invested in this product…it is really that good. But if I had to choose something, I wish they had a service that customized the checks I use to pay vendors, versus me having to order them separately from another vendor. Review Source KS Kylie S. Pros This platform has really innovated our business in development. We implemented this program and received great support online. I love the product. Pros It is easy, and I have many options on how to customize all of the data that I input for my business. We love the fact that it keeps track of the expiration dates of the Insurance certificates per tenant, as well as sending out monthly reminders of upcoming rent, or lease renewals. Very easy to use. At first tenants were hesitant to use the portal but once they got used to it they are happy with it. It provides them options on how to make their rent payments so that they do not incur late fees. Highly recommend DoorLoop. Customer service is excellent. Cons The software still has minor glitches, that are resolved in a timely manner. Review Source TG Toby G. System is easy to navigate and customer service is always available. Pros The entire system is very user friendly and self explanatory. Cons It is NOT tailored to HOA owners, but build for tenants and renters. Some of the owners at the complex I'm managing did not sign up or signed up and are not going to pay since they are NOT tenants, but owners. I'm personally ok with this and happy to use the system for all other features, but if there would be option in the future to have this system for HOA owners would be wonderful. This is not good for commercial property management. The reconciliation is horrible. You account balance will be off from your bank balance. The whole process to create a bill and pay it and then have to go to another tab to send it and sometimes it wont even add to the bill as a payment just an expense on the vendor and create even bigger problems. STAY AWAY. There are plenty of other options that have been around longer. They will not refund you if you are not happy with the service. I like the fact that of the export capabilities of the accounting portion. I really hope this comes to canada sooner rather than later so I can recommend this product to more owners.
