I enjoyed it, it was different. And the questions were interesting. I like the technical questions, it does seem like a fairer way to assess people. But I do think having some scenario based questions could also help understand the participant better. eg. "in this context from a team or managerial challenge, what choice would you make -- A. B. or C?" As this can help you gauge what the participant values or how they view different problems. (Just a thought, use it, don't use it).

Pros

Simple multiple choice questions based on foundational technical knowledge. The assessment didn't steal any ideas from me.. ie. it wasn't a set design task that can be used to exploit participants for free work under the guise of "skills assessment". I appreciate this about HiPeople. The fact that they didn't ask for free ideas via a fake design brief (which companies generally use for their own benefit by using you and wasting your time, misleading you in thinking you're working toward a potential hire), makes me respect and trust them even though we've never met. One of the few assessments which didn't leave me feeling used or exploited by the end of it. Thanks.

Cons

I think there is some room for improvement, quick fixes that can help reduce bias: 1. Such as including icons with text- as not all people know the names of specific functionality, but as visual learners they can easily recognise it's purpose by it's icon. 2. Perhaps, language and communication preferences in the beginning could be added. That might help level the playing field to ensure everyone is answering in the language they prefer best, using the method they are most comfortable with.. ie. verbal vs written responses.

The way the applicant was guided into the exam. Exam was a bit difficult for the 1st stage however it was so challenging.

Count down time on some question sessions is small, therefore it makes it a little difficult to manoeuvre around all questions.

HiPeople in my opinion works as a filter for recruiters. It helps them to narrow down the available candidates for a position before the recruiter involved themselves in the process.

I felt that some of the questions didn't align with the position I was applying for which could negatively affect my performance on this first evaluation.

Pros

The automatic link to send to references so that they can just reply and send back their responses. My references said it was super easy to navigate.

Cons

There are no complaints from me as this seems to be more effective than what is done in the past when hiring.

Immediate response to their candidates. That will facilitate the process of applying in the company

No comments. Maybe the analytical tests need to have more time. Also, there is a section where it is necessary to share a previous work reference. Is not included the phone number option. Given the importance of this section. I only had information of first name and phone number. So, I wasn't able to share full information.
