### "Huge help with processing"

May 14, 2026

5.0

It has improved how we collate and distribute information making payroll much easier and more accurate. Staff can access data as well without having to ask for it saving admin time.

Pros

PeopleHR has removed the paper trail of managers sending data to HR and payroll, allowing managers to add data and that feeds to those who need it. We are tracking leave and absences so much easier as well. We can also send out emails to all staff with any updates they need to know about.

Cons

There are some areas that I think are missing quite obvious automation. For example, when marking someone on maternity leave the public holidays still show as being taken, so you have to manually remove them.

Thanks for your feedback, Martin. It’s great to hear PeopleHR has helped remove manual paper trails and made it easier for managers, HR and payroll teams to work from the same information. It’s also fantastic to know leave and absence tracking, along with staff communications, are helping improve efficiency across the business. We appreciate your feedback around maternity leave and public holiday automation. That’s a really helpful example of where additional automation could save time and reduce manual adjustments for payroll and HR teams. It’s great to hear the platform is improving accuracy, streamlining processes and helping reduce admin overall. ### "Excellent system, great for automation, paperless function and data visibility"

August 31, 2026

5.0

Amazing, the support is second to none. The system is so easy to use and the ripple automation ability in the system means you save a lot of time.

Pros

The ease of customising the system to make it bespoke to us so we are fully paperless and store everything in one place.

Cons

Nothing, i think it is a fabulous system. I would love it to incorporate a time and attendance system moving forward.

### "Functional but limited HR system"

May 22, 2026

2.0

Our overall experience is that PeopleHR is a functional but limited system. It meets basic operational needs, but it is not especially dynamic or adaptable to more advanced or modern HR approaches. We primarily use it in a core, administrative capacity rather than as a platform that enables or enhances our HR strategy. While it is usable, it does not stand out in terms of user experience, flexibility, or innovation. Engagement and communication from Access tends to be focused on upselling additional features or introducing new overlay solutions (for example MyEVO, Navigator, or other AI-led enhancements). While these may add incremental value, they do not fundamentally improve the capability or usability of the core modules, which remain the primary constraint in day-to-day use.

Pros

PeopleHR meets core HR system requirements and provides a single place to store employee data, manage basic processes, and maintain records. It is broadly functional for core administration (e.g. employee records, basic absence tracking, document storage), and once set up, it can be used in a consistent way across a business. The platform is stable enough for day-to-day use, and it covers the fundamentals required of an HRIS without major barriers to entry or bugs and issues.

Cons

The system lacks flexibility and feels dated in several key areas. Many modules do not align well with modern HR practices, and configuration/customisation options are limited. Overall, the system can feel clunky, and processes are often shaped around system limitations rather than good HR practice. I would not consider it to offer strong value for money, particularly when compared to alternative providers that could deliver a similar level of service at a significantly lower cost.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, William. It’s good to hear PeopleHR is providing a stable and consistent platform for core HR administration, particularly around employee records, absence tracking and document management. We appreciate your honest feedback around flexibility, usability and alignment with modern HR practices. Insights like this are incredibly valuable, especially around configurability, user experience and ensuring the platform continues to evolve in a meaningful way for customers. We also understand your comments regarding newer enhancements versus improvements to core functionality, and feedback like this helps shape future priorities. ### "Really good system "

May 22, 2026

4.0

I’ve used PHR for about 9 years and implemented across 2 businesses. When I first started using it, it was very easy to use and always evolving. They were then bought out by Access and things got worse. However, they do seem to be on the recovery and I have noticed service and customer services levels improving again.

Pros

The product is easy to use, customer service has improved and it covers almost all areas of the business I need it to.

Cons

It could do with actually actioning customer feedback, I know there is a support function where employers can raise ideas and tickets for the dev team to look into creating/implementing, however, it seems like they rarely get actioned. The system is at risk of falling behind its competitors when it comes to additional features.

### "Access PeopleHR Review"

July 24, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Access PeopleHR has been positive. It is easy to use, helps manage HR tasks quickly, and keeps important information in one place.

Pros

What I like most about Access PeopleHR is that it keeps everything HR-related in one place, making it easy to find the information I need. Whether it's requesting annual leave, accessing documents, or checking my employee details, the system is straightforward to use and saves time. It helps simplify everyday HR tasks, reduces paperwork, and makes managing routine admin much more convenient.

Cons

One thing I dislike is that the system can sometimes feel a bit slow, and it can take a few clicks to find what I'm looking for. Overall, it works well, but a simpler layout and faster performance would make it even easier to use.

### "User-Friendly and Efficient Platform"

July 24, 2026

5.0

I have worked with different HR systems, but so far PeopleHR has been the easiest, user-friendly, automated system that saves time in admin and makes it easier to manage the different aspects of an employee's life. It collects a good amount of data, and then it is very easy to report on. When there are issues, they have been quick to fix them and then take the feedback to improve their services.

Pros

I like that it is user-friendly. It is self-explanatory on how to use the platform, but if there are any doubts, it has a chat box ready to help with any questions.

Cons

I would like the ability to customise some of the pre-built reports on the dashboard. While it's possible to create reports from scratch and tailor them to our needs, it would be beneficial if the standard reports could also be edited. Having a structured starting point that can then be customised to reflect our company's specific requirements would make reporting more efficient and user-friendly.

Response from The Access Group

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review! We're really pleased to hear that you find PeopleHR user-friendly and intuitive — making HR admin easier and saving time is exactly what we set out to do, so it's wonderful to hear that's been your experience. It's also great to know that our support team has been on hand when you've needed them, and that any issues have been resolved quickly. We really value that kind of feedback and are always looking to improve. Your suggestion around customisable pre-built reports is a really valuable one. We completely understand how having a structured starting point that can then be tailored to your company's specific needs would make reporting even more efficient. I'll make sure this feedback is passed on to our product team — it's exactly the kind of insight that helps shape future development. Thanks again for being such a positive advocate for PeopleHR.

### "PeopleHR - A Recommended HRIS"

August 28, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Access PeopleHR is really positive. The system is easy to navigate for all users, the reporting and analytics dashboard is excellent and allows us to make data-informed decisions, and the customer support is another real strength. Of course, like any system, there are some areas for improvement, such as the lack of a clear way to manage data retention. However, Access provides customers with a portal to submit product feedback, meaning the system is continually evolving to better meet customer needs. Overall, I think Access PeopleHR is a great HR system and is real value for money.

Pros

What I like most about Access PeopleHR is how easy it is to navigate, both from an HR and an employee perspective. The system is clearly laid out and user-friendly, which makes it straightforward for employees and HR teams to find the information and functions they need. I also find the self-service functionality particularly useful. Employees can update much of their own information and upload documents, such as qualifications, directly onto the system. This reduces the administrative workload for HR and gives employees greater ownership over keeping their information up to date. Another feature I really value is the automation functionality, known as Ripples. By setting up Ripples, we can automate many repetitive HR processes, such as onboarding tasks and probation reviews. This saves time, improves consistency and allows the HR team to focus on more valuable, people-focused activities rather than manual administration.

Cons

Access PeopleHR is a really helpful HRIS with many strengths. One area I feel is missing, however, is a built-in data retention function. Data retention is an important part of HR compliance, and it would be beneficial to have functionality that clearly identifies when documents or employee information have reached or exceeded their retention period. There are workarounds using hotsheet reports and ripples for active employees, but Ripples cannot run on leavers. This means managing data retention can still be quite manual and time-consuming, particularly when managing former employee records.

### "Making PeopleHR Work for Our Growing Business"

August 27, 2026

4.0

When I joined as Senior HR Business Partner two years ago, I inherited PeopleHR, but it was not being used to its full potential and many of our processes were still manual. Rather than moving to a new system, I was determined to understand its capabilities and make it work for our business. Since then, PeopleHR has become a valuable platform for our small and growing organisation. With the right setup, it has helped us streamline our processes, improve the employee and manager experience, and elevate the role of HR within the business.

Pros

PeopleHR has helped us bring our key HR processes into one place and reduce our reliance on emails, spreadsheets and manual administration. We now use it across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee records, performance reviews, objectives, absence management and internal communications. We have also automated processes such as time-off, Working-from-Anywhere, and TOIL requests. This has created a simpler and more consistent experience for our global team and our managers. It has also given me as Senior HRBP, more reliable people data and freed up my time to focus on strategic priorities and act as a true business partner. The customer support is another positive. The 24/7 AI support is useful for quick questions, with human support available when we need more specific guidance.

Cons

As a small business, some of the platform’s features can feel more extensive than we need. It also takes time and effort to understand the system and configure it around your processes before you can get the most from it. The AI support does not always provide the exact answer we are looking for, although having access to human support helps resolve this.

### "Innovative People HR"

July 27, 2026

5.0

I have used many HR platforms over the years, big and small and the People HR service is impressive in it's use of technological advances and ease of use.

Pros

Mostly I like the way it is developing, automating processes and making life easier for a busy HR manager, data accessibility and insights. the customer support is very good now, with everything in one place and quick solutions. A lot of our emp0loyees use the app for managing their leave.

Cons

sometime the platform is a bit shakey and some of the reports don't run very well, data seems incorrect or not picked up.

### "Overall Positive Experience with Access PeopleHR"

August 27, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Access PeopleHR has been very positive. Over the past year, I have found the system to be dependable and effective in supporting our HR processes. It has helped improve the consistency and accuracy of employee data management while providing a central platform for HR administration. The system has enabled me to work more efficiently by reducing manual processes and providing easy access to information when needed.

Pros

I liked that Access PeopleHR helped me stay organised by keeping employee records, documents, and HR processes in one place. It made onboarding administration and day-to-day HR tasks more efficient and easier to manage. I also found the system user-friendly and easy to navigate, which helped me quickly access employee information and complete administrative tasks. The ability to manage employee records, leave requests, documents, and reporting within a single platform improved efficiency and reduced the need for manual tracking. Additionally, having centralised data made it easier to maintain accurate records, support managers and employees, and ensure HR processes were completed consistently. Overall, Access PeopleHR was a valuable tool for streamlining HR administration and improving productivity.

Cons

I have been using Access PeopleHR for more than a year, and overall my experience has been very positive. I have not encountered any significant issues with the system, and it has supported my day-to-day HR administration tasks effectively.

### "Great system - communication options need improving"

May 1, 2026

4.0

I like it. I believe it is still a work in progress but as it stands it has made my job much easier on the admin side. Does take a bit of time to set up these aspects of the system, but its been very helpful so far.

Pros

I love the fact that it is capable of doing a lot. It helps to free up more time to get on with other things due to the automations that can be set up.

Cons

Contact is only available through chat - if it stays available to you. Can be glitchy. ATS is very basic and does not currently link with other jobs sites to get a direct feed. Eagerly waiting the launch of the new ATS which has much better functions.

### "Great HR System"

February 25, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Access PeopleHR has been largely positive and impactful. The platform offers a well-structured and user-friendly interface that makes daily HR tasks significantly easier to manage. From maintaining employee records to tracking absences and performance reviews, the system centralizes information in a way that saves time and reduces administrative errors. I particularly appreciate how accessible employee data is, as it streamlines reporting and improves decision-making. Another strength of Access PeopleHR is its document management feature, which allows secure storage and quick retrieval of important files. The self-service functionality also empowers employees to update their information, submit leave requests, and access documents independently, reducing the workload on HR teams. While there can occasionally be minor navigation challenges or learning curves when using more advanced features, overall the platform provides reliable performance and strong functionality. It has contributed to improving efficiency, organisation, and transparency within HR processes.

Pros

PeopleHR is easy to navigate as both an admin and an employee. Their customer support is really good and you get to talk to someone quickly if the AI feature can't answer what you need to know.

Cons

I wish PeopleHR had different admin levels so that different people in the HR team can have the status that they need and not full access.

Switched from

[Kelio](https://www.capterra.com/p/181942/Kelio/)

We made the transition from Kelio to PeopleHR to create a more streamlined, modern, and scalable HR environment. While Kelio supported time and attendance tracking, we needed a system that could deliver a broader range of HR functions within one centralized platform. PeopleHR offered stronger capabilities in employee record management, document storage, performance tracking, and reporting, allowing us to reduce reliance on multiple systems and manual processes. Another key reason for the change was to improve efficiency and visibility across the organization. PeopleHR’s self-service functionality empowers employees to manage their own information, request leave, and access documents without constant HR intervention. This not only reduces administrative workload but also improves accuracy and accountability. Additionally, PeopleHR provides more comprehensive reporting tools, helping leadership access real-time workforce data for better decision-making. Overall, the move allowed us to modernize our HR processes, enhance data accessibility, and support future organizational growth.

So far, after sorting out some issues with Access directly we have had a good experience mostly other than the points mentioned in the previous question..

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. It has all the features I would expect from a HRIS system in once place which make my role much easier and I can support staff more efficiently.

Cons

Customer support - including invoices we receive. Often these are incorrect. We challenge these and it is weeks before we often get a response from someone at Access.

We haven't been listened to and feel our onboarding was rushed and incomplete. We were only able to focus on certain areas

Pros

We were told it would be able to do payroll and also be available in multiple languages and could be a time and attendance system that we could use to run payroll for 24/7 shifts. We were expecting a one stop shop for appraisals, reporting, stats, employee records.

Cons

We aren't able to use the app efficiently or reliably. The training was incomplete and it couldn't do what we were sold in the sales pitch.

### "Straightforward and user friendly."

February 25, 2026

5.0

I've used PeopleHR in a previous organisation, so when looking for a system it felt like the obvious choice. I wanted something I had full understanding of so that I could support our people for what was a big change for them. PeopleHR has enabled me to have a single source of truth for our employee data, and saves me bags of time each month. No more spreadsheets! We've linked PeopleHR into our payroll software too - Paycircle - which has streamlined processes and increased accuracy. I like the different modules and having a system that we can build upon in time.

Pros

As a smaller employer with no previous system, I have found the implementation of PeopleHR simple and straightforward, and most importantly easy to use for employees with no experience of using a HR system previously.

Cons

I don't like the bot and would much rather be able to easily access a real person to speak to when I have queries. It feels convoluted and not very helpful at times, and I use other sources to get answers to questions.

### "Great Mobile app"

May 22, 2026

5.0

Pros

What I liked most about Access PeopleHR is how it brings everything together into one central system, making HR processes much more efficient and easier to manage. Having a single place to store employee records, documents, leave requests, and performance information reduces the need for manual tracking and eliminates duplication of work. The self-service functionality is particularly useful, as it allows employees to update their own details, request annual leave, and access important documents without needing to go through HR, which saves a lot of time.

Cons

What I liked least about Access PeopleHR is that some areas of the system can feel clunky and not as intuitive as expected, especially when navigating more advanced features. At times, it can take longer to find specific information due to the number of menus and sections, which can slow down day-to-day tasks. Reporting functionality can also feel limited, particularly when trying to access historical data or customise reports beyond standard options.

### "Good basis for electronic storage & data control."

May 1, 2026

3.0

Overall its been OK. It has brought us forward out of the paper based side of things. Employees being able to view their own documents and being able to sign things electronically is much easier for us. We did review several at the time and moved forward with this one as our preferred choice. I still think it was the right decision.

Pros

It has a user friendly appearance, aesthetically. The basic info is good. Digital signing of documents and editing access rights to view is good. The ATS system is good too.

Cons

The training module is not very good for our business needs. There is no overall training matrix with sufficient details. Perhaps this could be created in a report function but we have been unable to create reports yet. I believe the performance review section was being reviewed to be upgraded.

Thanks for your feedback, Lindsay. It’s great to hear PeopleHR has helped move you away from paper processes and that features like document storage, e-signing and access controls are working well for your team. I’m sorry to hear the training module hasn’t met your needs, particularly around visibility and reporting. I understand how important a clear training matrix is, and your feedback here is really valuable. It’s good to hear overall that you still feel it was the right decision and that the system is supporting your business. If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to look into the training/reporting side with you. ### "Falls short of expectations for an HR system"

May 8, 2026

1.0

Overall, our experience has been disappointing. While the system covers basic HR tasks, it falls short in terms of usability, functionality, and support. Processes that should be straightforward are often overly complex, and key features feel underdeveloped. Combined with limited and inconsistent customer support, it has not delivered the efficiency or value we expected from an HR system.

Pros

The new starter and leaver processes are relatively simple to use, with guided steps that make these tasks straightforward. Aside from these basics, there are few features that stand out as particularly strong or beneficial.

Cons

Where do I begin? Customer support: Very disappointing. Communication is minimal unless it’s time to discuss renewal, at which point responsiveness increases significantly. Outside of that, support feels disengaged and unhelpful, which makes resolving issues frustrating. Usability and setup: The system is not user-friendly. Setting up something as fundamental as the appraisal cycle was overly complex and time-consuming, to the point that we reverted to paper-based processes this year. Functionality limitations: Key features feel underdeveloped. The organisational chart, for example, is not interactive and only displays the full company view, making it difficult to navigate and impractical for everyday use. Overall, the system feels clunky and inefficient, and it doesn’t support basic HR processes as well as expected.

Thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, Marta. I’m really sorry to hear about your experience and the frustration this has caused, particularly around support, usability and key HR processes like appraisals. I completely understand how disappointing it is when a system doesn’t deliver the efficiency and simplicity you expected. Your comments around communication, the organisational chart and the complexity of setup are incredibly important, and it’s concerning to hear you’ve had to revert to manual processes as a result. I’d genuinely appreciate the opportunity to understand more about your experience and see how we can help improve things for you. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at taryn.schutzler@theaccessgroup.com and I’ll ensure your feedback is shared with the relevant teams. ### "Easy to Use and flexible"

May 1, 2026

4.0

One of the better HR platforms, which works well with our Access ATS. We are still developing our understanding of our the different elements integrate, such as the LMS, but look forward to all areas linking with our PeopleHR system to be a single point of record keeping.

Pros

When you get familiar with the ripple function, they are really useful across a number of processes to allow automation.

Cons

The reporting could be more flexible, or more guidance on how to created a more meaningful report. Sometimes I do get stuck trying to get the system to pick out the specifics. More options on the time periods when adding filters to queries would be helpful.

### "ITS EXCELLENT"

February 26, 2026

5.0

the platform is specifically designed to improve how employees feel about their work by boosting engagement and streamlining admin. i think its value for money.itsprovides an intuitive HR Reporting Software designed to help businesses turn employee data into actionable insights through visual and customisable reports. its provides comprehensive scheduling and time-tracking capabilities within its HR management system.

Pros

Ease to use -find the interface intuitive and self-explanatory. The mobile app is frequently praised for its self-service functionality, allowing employees to manage leave and view documents on the go. custmer support-Reviews consistently mention helpful and knowledgeable support staff, though some find the AI/chat-only initial interaction frustrating and prefer dealing with a real person.

Cons

AI Frustrations: The initial AI chat function is often described as unhelpful, forcing users to wait for a human agent to resolve even simple problems

### "Great and easy to use for small team "

February 25, 2026

4.0

Was good while we had a small team but now we have expanded it needs more automation but it was user friendly while we had this.

Pros

What I liked most about Access PeopleHR was how intuitive and user-friendly the system is — it made everyday HR tasks much quicker and easier. I really appreciated how centralised everything is — from onboarding to performance reviews, I had all key HR data in one place.

Cons

What I liked least was that some features felt a bit limited or basic compared with more advanced HR systems. The automation could be smarter — it sometimes required manual checks where more automation would help.

### "Good product, highly recommended"

February 25, 2026

5.0

I've been using PeopleHR for the last four years, and the system works very well for the company. Ripples could be made easier to use. We had some issues with the LMS part of Access, which we are still working on, but overall, the experience has been very good.

Pros

Reports are completed quickly and adequately. Automated Ripple emails work well. Setting up a new employee easy to do.

Cons

Setting up Ripples is confusing, especially when using it for the first time. It is not as user-friendly as it could be. Filters can be confusing as well.

### "Smooth App"

February 25, 2026

5.0

I really appreciate the new updates and they seem to simplify my work however I do wish that there was a simple chat box to type in a question rather than the automated limited options.

Pros

I'm a big fan of the new set up on the PC site as well as the mobile app. Setting up a new employee on PHR is much smoother now.

Cons

Sometimes the system rebels and gives me a challenge to figure out why something isn't working as it should be e.g. holiday calculations from one year to another.

### "Interior Products Group"

February 25, 2026

2.0

It could be a really good system and we thought it would be but after the system was integrated we were left alone, couldn't make contact with anyone for further questions and realised a lot of what we were sold didn't exist. We are looking at putting in a complaint.

Pros

Certain aspects are good ie. the ease of adding changes on paycircle, the link between PeopleHR & Paycircle (although not all data links). The news option is good for notifying staff of updates.

Cons

Unfortunately we are finding that we were sold something different to what we have with the system. The training matrix side is not good and doesn't show the information we want it to, the customer service side is not good, it's impossible to speak to someone and nobody emails back. Lateness is not automatic so those occurrences get missed, overtime is also manual. There's no automatic email notifications to managers for training expiry dates. There is no option to notify staff that a document has been added to their documents unless you click "signature required" but not all documents need a signature. It's just all a lot of work and not user friendly. Our Team Leaders and Managers constantly give poor feedback.

Thanks for your feedback, Robyn. We’re sorry to hear your experience hasn’t met expectations.
