### "A platform that takes multiple spreadsheets into one system"

Really good and allows us to streamline our HR admin, it also saves us so much time. All the employees are really happy with the platform and find it a much better system.

Pros

Easy to use, various systems in one place rather than what we used to use when we had multiple spreadsheets. Allows us to track employee performance and can get things easily signed by the team. It gives us a way to communicate to all staff.

Cons

Set up at start was difficult and didn't get as much support as wished, we were lucky that we had an external HR company set up. Lots of emails also can be frustrating from the support team as some seem automated so its quite confusing.

### "User Friendly System"

Overall satisfied with the system. Can upload documents for digital signing very easily. Would recommend to other businesses.

Pros

Pricing is competitive. The AI chat box is helpful for quick customer support. The system is user friendly.

Cons

It is a UK system so some features are UK specific, we have employees in ROI and there is different references i.e. NIN vs PPSN .

### "Repeated Issues, Poor Customer Service and Account Management - would not recommend "

Our overall experience with Access PeopleHR has been frustrating and disappointing. Despite repeated assurances, agreed timelines for an upgrade and training were missed, communication between teams was poor, and escalation to the complaints team led to little meaningful action. Given that similar issues occurred around a year ago, it is concerning to see the same patterns repeated with no evident improvement. Cant comment on Evo Pro upgrade yet as it hasn't happened but old version is limited in functionality.

Pros

It’s difficult to identify strong positives overall, but the AI chat function for support has been improving and is sometimes helpful. The system does allow us to log holiday and sickness and store documents, which covers some basic HR needs.

Cons

Our experience with this platform and the company behind it has been consistently disappointing. We have been operating on a historic version of PeopleHR for quite some time. This version is outdated, has poor functionality, and is generally a difficult system to work with, which made us genuinely look forward to the promised upgrade. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the upgraded platform itself, as it is still not live and we have not yet received the training that was scheduled as part of the upgrade plan. We signed a contract to upgrade our HR system with agreed timelines, including a clear start date for the upgrade and scheduled training. Those commitments were not met. The upgrade was delayed without adequate explanation, which then delayed training and had a direct impact on our internal project timelines. What makes this particularly frustrating is that this is not the first time we have experienced these issues. We faced very similar problems around a year ago, which were escalated to the complaints team at the time. It is therefore extremely disappointing to see the same issues recurring, with little evidence that any meaningful improvements have been made. Communication has been poor throughout. There appears to be a lack of internal coordination between teams, resulting in conflicting information, repeated explanations on our side, and ongoing confusion about what is actually happening. Even escalation to the complaints team did not lead to improved communication or delivery. A recurring theme has been the significant gap between what is promised and what actually happens. Employees are very good at reassuring you that they are taking ownership, that they are looking into the issue, will be your single point of contact, and will not rest until things are resolved. In reality, actions rarely match those assurances. Once the contract is signed, there appears to be little urgency or accountability in delivering on commitments. Given the business‑critical nature of an HR system, the lack of ownership, follow‑through, and reliable customer support is deeply concerning. Based on our experience over an extended period, we would be very cautious about recommending this company or platform to other organisations

So far, after sorting out some issues with Access directly we have had a good experience mostly other than the points mentioned in the previous question..

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. It has all the features I would expect from a HRIS system in once place which make my role much easier and I can support staff more efficiently.

Cons

Customer support - including invoices we receive. Often these are incorrect. We challenge these and it is weeks before we often get a response from someone at Access.

Really good - they wanted to handhold on the onboarding, but I've used this system in a previous company for 12 years, so it wasn't necessary. They're very thorough!

Pros

Really simple way to keep track of documents, policies signed, and employee data. Employees find it easy to use too. The price is also really reasonable!

Cons

It would be simpler to have a send invite button, rather than deleting and re-inputting email addresses, but it isn't a huge issue!

Varied. All is good until something goes wrong or needs a little more from the system. Anything 'outside the box' is just not feasible.

Pros

Covers core HR functionality and is secure. Provides good basic reporting. However, any personalised reporting is limited as you cannot create query using all the fields and the boolleon algebra is limited.

Cons

Service response is terrible and only had response once a complaint was raised. There is no clear place to raise a complaint. Took loads of emails and phone calls to get a response. Cannot do some basic reporting

My overall experience with Access PeopleHR has been very positive. It has made HR administration much more efficient by bringing essential processes, such as document storage, holiday management, and sickness tracking, into one easy-to-use platform. The system has been particularly valuable for maintaining compliance, as it allows us to securely store key documentation and keep track of expiry dates without relying on manual reminders. It also supports both managers and employees by making routine tasks simple and accessible. Although there are occasional minor technical issues, the overall functionality, ease of use, and time-saving features make it a very effective HR solution.

Pros

What I like most about Access PeopleHR is its secure and centralised document storage. It’s extremely useful for safely storing important employee records such as right-to-work documents and DBS checks, and it helps ensure nothing is missed by tracking expiry dates. It is also very easy for managers to upload and access training records, which makes maintaining compliance and monitoring staff development straightforward. Another major benefit is the simplicity of HR processes: Employees can easily request holiday through the system Managers can quickly approve leave and log sickness Everything is stored in one place, reducing admin time Overall, it significantly streamlines day-to-day HR tasks.

Cons

The main issue I’ve experienced is a technical glitch when trying to view stored documents. Occasionally, the system displays an error message such as “oops, something went wrong”, which means you have to log out and log back in before trying again. While this isn’t a constant problem, it can be frustrating when you need quick access to important records. Improving the stability of document viewing would make the system even more efficient.

What I liked most about Access PeopleHR is how it brings everything together into one central system, making HR processes much more efficient and easier to manage. Overall, our experience has been disappointing. While the system covers basic HR tasks, it falls short in terms of usability, functionality, and support. Processes that should be straightforward are often overly complex, and key features feel underdeveloped. Combined with limited and inconsistent customer support, it has not delivered the efficiency or value we expected from an HR system.

Pros

The new starter and leaver processes are relatively simple to use, with guided steps that make these tasks straightforward. Aside from these basics, there are few features that stand out as particularly strong or beneficial.

Cons

Where do I begin? Customer support: Very disappointing. Communication is minimal unless it’s time to discuss renewal, at which point responsiveness increases significantly. Outside of that, support feels disengaged and unhelpful, which makes resolving issues frustrating. Usability and setup: The system is not user-friendly. Setting up something as fundamental as the appraisal cycle was overly complex and time-consuming, to the point that we reverted to paper-based processes this year. Functionality limitations: Key features feel underdeveloped. The organisational chart, for example, is not interactive and only displays the full company view, making it difficult to navigate and impractical for everyday use. Overall, the system feels clunky and inefficient, and it doesn’t support basic HR processes as well as expected.

Very positive, has allowed us to increase productivity without having to increase headcount in the department. Employees find it a good system to use too.

Pros

For employees it is easy to use on the desktop or app and provides all information in one place which is easy to access. It allows the HR team to focus in the right place due to the amount of automation available. The customer support is good as well as the help guides and videos.

Cons

Not a dislike, however there has been a number of helpful system changes that take a little while to get used to in a shirt space of time. That being said, customer support is good and they keep in constant communication until issue resolved.

We haven't been listened to and feel our onboarding was rushed and incomplete. We were only able to focus on certain areas

Pros

We were told it would be able to do payroll and also be available in multiple languages and could be a time and attendance system that we could use to run payroll for 24/7 shifts. We were expecting a one stop shop for appraisals, reporting, stats, employee records.

Cons

We aren't able to use the app efficiently or reliably. The training was incomplete and it couldn't do what we were sold in the sales pitch.

Overall we have found the platform to be beneficial in so many ways. We have access on desktop and mobile - always able to login and deal with something no matter where you are.

Pros

Ease of use, reports at your fingertips. Great support in the background, you can always get the answer to an issue. Great value for money

No cons for me so far. Just love everything about the platform. Still more learning to be done as the system is capable of so much more

There have been a few teething issues so far but the team have been trying to work on it to resolve. I think better technical support during the implementation stage could be helpful. We have had many issues with employees not having access to Salary Extras. All team members have been friendly during our journey so far.

Pros

I like how versatile it is with it's products and the analytics available for products. It's ideal for a one stop shop for our employees.

Cons

The ATS function could probably work better and have more availability of job boards it can feed in to. I also think Salary Extras could have better discounts available, it feels they are slightly behind with what Reward Gateway and PerkBox offer.

PeopleHR has enabled me to have a single source of truth for our employee data, and saves me bags of time each month. No more spreadsheets! We've linked PeopleHR into our payroll software too - Paycircle - which has streamlined processes and increased accuracy. I like the different modules and having a system that we can build upon in time.

Pros

As a smaller employer with no previous system, I have found the implementation of PeopleHR simple and straightforward, and most importantly easy to use for employees with no experience of using a HR system previously.

Cons

I don't like the bot and would much rather be able to easily access a real person to speak to when I have queries. It feels convoluted and not very helpful at times, and I use other sources to get answers to questions.

### "Very Poor Product"

Overall very poor, would not recommend. We will not be renewing our contract. Lots of compliance issues, system is clunky and it's not presentable. It doesn't look like a finished product.

Pros

Ability to create logbooks is helpful for running internal processes however there are lots of limitations e.g. logbooks cannot be printed and the landing page for logbooks looks terrible like a program that is still in testing phase.

Cons

Software was oversold from the beginning, it's clunky and the consultants don't know the product well. It was supposed to integrate with our payroll system (another Access Group product), but the consultants were unable to provide a correct demonstration of how this would occur. Performance management module is inflexible and out of date with modern concepts of Performance Management. There is a major flaw with the employee documents section where if you give employees access, they can delete their own documents. There are lots of compliance risks and red flags too we have had to engage lawyers due to employee complaints about certain information being made available on the system which is in breach of privacy laws. Despite raising these issues repeatedly, we are not seeing any improvement in the product or the level of support provided.

### "User Friendly System"

Overall I believe that the system is user friendly both for us as system admin users and also the end user. It is easy to navigate your way around and if there is something that we need assistance with, help is always on hand in a timely manner.

Pros

I find People HR easy to use. I only joined the HR team 1 year ago and within days I felt like I could navigate my away around the system basics very easily. I find that the customer support element is particularly good now that the AI feature has been added in, this means that help is readily available and there are only a small amount of times where I have been unable to get what I needed from the AI assistant and is has had to be escalated to a team member.

Cons

It would be useful if we were able to upload emails as they are rather than having to convert them to PDF as this just delays the process. I also find that creating new reports can be a lengthy process but maybe this is just because I am self taught.

Was good while we had a small team but now we have expanded it needs more automation but it was user friendly while we had this.

Pros

What I liked most about Access PeopleHR was how intuitive and user-friendly the system is — it made everyday HR tasks much quicker and easier. I really appreciated how centralised everything is — from onboarding to performance reviews, I had all key HR data in one place.

Cons

What I liked least was that some features felt a bit limited or basic compared with more advanced HR systems. The automation could be smarter — it sometimes required manual checks where more automation would help.

I've been using PeopleHR for the last four years, and the system works very well for the company. Ripples could be made easier to use. We had some issues with the LMS part of Access, which we are still working on, but overall, the experience has been very good.

Pros

Reports are completed quickly and adequately. Automated Ripple emails work well. Setting up a new employee easy to do.

Cons

Setting up Ripples is confusing, especially when using it for the first time. It is not as user-friendly as it could be. Filters can be confusing as well.

### "Smooth App"

I really appreciate the new updates and they seem to simplify my work however I do wish that there was a simple chat box to type in a question rather than the automated limited options.

Pros

I'm a big fan of the new set up on the PC site as well as the mobile app. Setting up a new employee on PHR is much smoother now.

Cons

Sometimes the system rebels and gives me a challenge to figure out why something isn't working as it should be e.g. holiday calculations from one year to another.

We have used this system for a number of years and it is user friendly for our HR Department and our staff. Easy to set up new members of staff, retains information well for leavers. We do not use all the functions as find some are not that easy to use. Overall we are satisfied.

Pros

I like that you can be flexible with the way holidays are managed, such as different start months, and able to do bulk bookings, etc.

Cons

Some of the reports take a little bit of effort to get right - you need to experiment/test to ensure you are getting the filters correct. The expenses process fields are not user friendly so we do not utilise this function at all. We attempted to use the login via locations, but this was so heavy on our mobiles that it used so much battery. The App also often crashes which is a shame.

### "Overall a positive experience"

Overall my experience with PHR is positive. It has decreased the issues we had in the past with annual leave and incorrect data from site management to HR/Payroll, leading to a more accurate payroll.

Pros

PeopleHR is easy to navigate and set up alerts for a variety of tasks. Both employee's and managers can view and update information they need to get quick answers on most questions that an HR team would usually get via email.

Cons

There are some automations I would expect the system to have that aren't there. Which leads to a bit more admin than it should.

Overall, it's a product that I feel is value for money, it does have limitations as it's designed for a small-medium business, but it works fine for what we need.

Pros

The planner section is great so enable managers to schedule their teams workload. I like that the people profiles help managers to manage their employees and gives them an oversight of information. The profiles are also clear and easy to use on the surface. However, the intricacies behind some of the processes can be confusing to managers.

Cons

The reporting is complex and not easy to set up. I also found that there was a lack of analytics available, however, we have recently upgraded out package, so hopefully we'll see a difference. I was also disappointed with the lack of AI available, but again, with the upgrade we're hoping to see some new AI features. I have found the customer service to be wanting, I don't feel that we have always had the best support.

Not very good. They are really good at selling but the aftercare is awful. We were sold the platform through our HR provider but they have even pulled away from People HR now and are no longer recommending it

Pros

People HR was sold to us as this wonderful system which can do everything we needed it to do but it is quite clunky and not the easiest of systems to use.

Cons

It looks quite dated, it sometimes can't do simple tasks, some functions are quite complicated. You have also taken away the option to raise support tickets which is the easiest way to get a problem sorted.
