My overall experience with Access PeopleHR has been positive. The platform provides a simple and effective way to manage employee records, holiday requests, and basic HR processes in one central system. It is generally easy to use and helps streamline administrative tasks through employee self-service and clear record management. While some areas such as reporting flexibility and system navigation could be improved, the system performs well for core HR functions and supports day-to-day HR administration efficiently. Overall, it is a reliable tool for managing employee information and routine HR activities.

Pros

ser-friendly interface – The system is straightforward and easy to navigate, making everyday HR tasks quick to complete. Centralised employee records – All employee information and documents are stored in one place, improving accessibility and organisation. Leave management – The holiday request and approval process is simple and efficient for both employees and managers. Self-service functionality – Employees can update their details and submit requests directly, reducing administrative workload. Reporting and visibility – Useful reporting features provide a clear overview of employee data and HR activities.

Cons

Limited reporting flexibility – Some reports require manual work or exporting data to Excel to achieve the desired output. User interface in certain areas – While generally simple, some sections feel outdated and less intuitive. Really positive overall, best system ever used. The system allows you to easily maage your employees, run reports, issue notifications, reminders etc.

Pros

Wide range of areas that link intot he HR Employee Cycles, i.e. ATS, Training, absence management, Ripple notifications, HRMI reporting etc.

Cons

Some of the modules do not allow user to customise, i.e. notifications on employee performance and scoring wording.

It's good to have one system to store all employee data, however sometimes it is not the easiest to navigate and to find certain settings.

Pros

Having all employee information in one place. New chat facility is useful. Employees have said it is easy to book annual leave.

Cons

Sometimes can be unintuitive. It has been hard in the past to receive customer support but this seems to be improving.

So far, after sorting out some issues with Access directly we have had a good experience mostly other than the points mentioned in the previous question..

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. It has all the features I would expect from a HRIS system in once place which make my role much easier and I can support staff more efficiently.

Cons

Customer support - including invoices we receive. Often these are incorrect. We challenge these and it is weeks before we often get a response from someone at Access.

We have used this system for a number of years and it is user friendly for our HR Department and our staff. Easy to set up new members of staff, retains information well for leavers. We do not use all the functions as find some are not that easy to use. Overall we are satisfied.

Pros

I like that you can be flexible with the way holidays are managed, such as different start months, and able to do bulk bookings, etc.

Cons

Some of the reports take a little bit of effort to get right - you need to experiment/test to ensure you are getting the filters correct. The expenses process fields are not user friendly so we do not utilise this function at all. We attempted to use the login via locations, but this was so heavy on our mobiles that it used so much battery. The App also often crashes which is a shame.

Positive experience overall, enjoying using the system with all its time-effective functionalities which streamline recruitment.

Pros

Great functions, specifically the ATS with great support from customer support colleagues when issues or queries arise.

Cons

System sometimes has glitches whereby we are unable to login (not often enough to cause a problem) however as the majority of colleague information is stored on the platform it can become stressful when we are unable to access.

I don't like the limitations of the system, I have had to find a lot of work arounds that we can't do anything about. I don't need anyone to reach out to me about it, I've already gone through this many times with you guys - it just is what it is.

Mainly very user friendly. Looking at information or finding information straight forward. Also running reports/queries very useful and easy to do with lots of options.

Pros

Ease of use. For inputting employee information it's easy to follow, especially the planner section. The support message set up is great. Easy to use and responses usually fix the query and give good clear guidance on how to action something.

Cons

I can always see the full screen, often the side bar is missing in the new view so I have to go back to the classic view. It would be good to be able to edit the leavers wizard once the person has left as we do exit interviews and sometime need to add that information in.

I do feel quicker customer service response would be of great value, it does take some time to hear back.

Pros

Employee management and absence management works quite well. It is somewhat easy to use for staff. I do like the dashboard and the reporting features too although their lay out could be improved.

Cons

The fact that scheduled leave is visible to all team members, which some employees mind. The signable documents do not work as well as on other platforms like Sage HR. Adding employee manually is a tedious task especially after all that information have already been entered into our payroll software. It would be good to be able to simply import things across platforms.

Overall the system delivers what we need it to - I am still exploring its capability as a new HR employee

Pros

The system is easy to use for end users and administrators alike. The reporting functions seem quite extensive. I particularly like the ability to send emails directly into employees document tab

Cons

The labelling of tabs seems counter intuitive ie the personal tab does not contain address/phone/emergency contact info - this is held in the Contacts tab. As someone new to the organisation I have found it difficult to gert support ie not Account manager details, no training videos as far as I have been able to ascertain
