### "Solid platform with some tweaks needed."

Its mostly a good database platform which takes care of information securely for staff across the UK and internationally. We had some issues with the link up to payroll but these have now been mostly addressed.

Pros

It is user friendly and almost all parts of the employee lifecycle are covered. We have been able to use it for about 5 years now and our experience has improved over time.

Cons

Sometimes it can take a while to get issues addressed and the customer support is not always as responsive as it was initially but they seem to have improved this in the past 12 months.

### "Access makes HR life much easier"

I use Access PeopleHR for managing employees, holidays, and performance. It provides seamless integration with payroll and LMS, making processes easier. However, the interface could improve to match competitors like Hibob. We switched from Workday due to headcount reduction. Setup was easy with available training sessions. I would rate it a 7 out of 10 for recommendation.

Pros

I really appreciate how Access PeopleHR makes managing employees, holidays, performance, and other relevant personnel details more seamless, which truly enhances the user experience by streamlining HR processes. I am impressed by its ability to connect with other Access products, such as payroll and the Learning Management System (LMS), which greatly simplifies the task of adding employees to different platforms, ensuring they are readily available when needed. This integration also makes assigning learning through the LMS platform straightforward and efficient, contributing significantly to a more cohesive and easy-to-manage HR infrastructure. Additionally, the setup process was fairly easy, and I benefited from the training sessions provided, which facilitated a smooth transition and quick adoption of the software.

Cons

I find the interface of Access PeopleHR could be improved to match the standards of other HR competitors like HiBob.

Overall, I find People HR to be really useful and a good value for money as it easy to store employee's information, which can then be used for reporting. It is also easy to report problems/bugs/fixes through their customer support portal.

Pros

Accessible and easy to use The ribbon feature helps better navigate employees profiles and see all of the information in one place It is useful for running reports as we store all of our data on there We have realised that we can schedule tickets through the ripple system and send it to our ticketing system

Cons

Creating new employees profiles can be a challenge because the layout is different and the required fields aren't the same. For example, if I was to input information into an optional field and then go back to the previous page, that information would need to be resubmitted when I went to it again. Also, it is mainly UK based so I cannot input an address for another country but I can for a phone number which is slightly frustrating.

### "PeopleHR: Evolving Fast, But Becoming Pricey"

Overall, Access PeopleHR is a capable system, great to see all the positive improvements being made, but cost and support considerations may impact its suitability for smaller organisations.

Pros

We've been using PeopleHR for some time now and it's encouraging to see the considerable improvements being made to the system. The enhancements are clearly aimed at improving functionality and user experience, which is great to see.

Cons

These upgrades have come with a noticeable increase in cost. As a small to medium-sized enterprise, affordability is a key factor for us, and unfortunately, the pricing may soon put the platform out of reach. While we appreciate the value of innovation, we hope PeopleHR will consider more flexible pricing options to support SMEs who still want access to a robust HR solution without compromising their budgets. Support has historically been a weak point, but I’ve seen encouraging signs of improvement in this area recently, which makes a real difference in day-to-day use.

### "A good central point with ease of use"

It’s pretty straightforward HR platform and the service is good. No major complaints. We’ve recently looked at alternatives and decided to stay with PeopleHR.

Pros

It’s a good central point for all employee documents. Customer service is pretty good - I usually get a very quick response with any queries.

Cons

I’d like to be able to delete completed tasks in bulk. I’d like to be able to see more information on the training logbook screen rather than only three columns. I would also really find it useful to have duplicate tabs open.

Overall good experience however some of the reporting is a bit difficult to use. Maybe look at an easier way to create and tailor reports to suit the needs of different people.

Pros

Good value for money. User friendly and easy to use. Its good for employees to boo holidays and its useful that theres an app.

Cons

The customer service. Sometimes its not very quick and it would be useful to be able to pick up the phone and speak to someone quickly.

I like the system. however the Ripple was a product I thought would help with tracking training forms etc. It's not quite worked out that way.

Pros

The Planner and being able to view and track absences more efficiently. The alerts for absences are also useful.

Cons

Ripple is not easy to use. Setting up and query in one page then a Ripple on another page is clunky and inefficient.

Everything’s in one place, it’s simple to navigate, and it takes the stress out of the usual HR bits like booking holidays or updating details. Even people who usually avoid new systems have taken to it without any fuss. The best part is how much time it saves. Things that used to drag on now take a couple of clicks, and it keeps everyone organised without feeling complicated. Their support team has also been great—quick to reply and genuinely friendly whenever we’ve needed a hand. Overall, it’s just a really solid, user‑friendly system that’s made our day‑to‑day smoother. Would happily recommend it to any team looking to make HR a little less of a headache.

Easy to use, good support and value for money. The resources are clear and easy to use when you have a question.

Pros

The system produces easy to use reports. The ATS is really good. Performance Management is made easy.

Cons

TOIL can only be recorded in days not hours. This is something that causes an issue currently. It would be fantastic if this were improved.

PeopleHR provides an accurate employee database, which is user friendly at all levels. It provides an accurate employee database, with the ability for employees to manage their own personnel record. Customer support is easy to contact and they are fairly helpful

Pros

The system is user friendly for both administrators and the end user. The reporting function is extremely helpful when specific employment information is required

Cons

I am not keen on the new layout, I prefer the older layout, but this is probably just down to user preference. There are elements of the system which are unused and we should explore further

### "Good product but terrible customer service."

I have used PeopleHR for around 10 years. It is very easy for administrators and individuals users to use with limited training. Over the years, it has become increasingly pricey and the customer service has gone downhill. It is very difficult to get hold of anyone and when you do, it's as if they are following a script. Customer satisfation is not a priority.

Pros

The software is very easy to use and it's a good place to store data. It is also a useful tool for emailing internal comms and documentation.

Cons

Customer service is appaling. You can never get hold of anyone and even when you do, they do not return your calls and emails. The business puts profit before customer satisfaction.

Overall satisfied with the system. Can upload documents for digital signing very easily. Would recommend to other businesses.

Pros

Pricing is competitive. The AI chat box is helpful for quick customer support. The system is user friendly.

Cons

It is a UK system so some features are UK specific, we have employees in ROI and there is different references i.e. NIN vs PPSN .

Access People HR is really clever, intuitive and easy to navigate compared to other HR software I have used. I like all the things you can set up to run in the background and creating reports is a breeze.

Pros

I think the new updates have really improved the overall service. Having help available at your fingertips on the actual portal as opposed to having to log in to an external portal has saved a lot of time.

Cons

There were a few glitches with the planner at first and I was having to do manual calculations whenever I had to update a log or a new starter would be created part way through a year, but this seems to have resolved with the updates.

The system is fairly straightforward, making it easy for staff to understand and navigate. Good to have the option of the App for staff

Cons

A new process was introduced on 1 December 2025, requiring users to raise cases only from within the App. However, this raises concerns about what to do if the system is down. The suggested alternative is to call the provided number, but that number is not valid. Additionally, their website at https://status.peoplehr.com/ claims there are no issues, even though there is a Cloudflare problem affecting access. I have also repeatedly requested, along with many others, that the default view under tasks should show only open tasks. This feedback has been ignored, and I am forced to manually select the option to hide completed tasks every single time. It is frustrating to have to see all my closed tasks from years ago when I only want to focus on what is currently open. There are many many items suggested for improvement on their site but nothing seems to be forthcoming

For employees using the service, it is very user friendly when looking to book leave and add items to the planner.

Cons

The automations are not as user friendly from an admin perspective. Using ripple and workflows is not a simple process for someone using this for the first time, even with tutorial videos.

### "Experience as New Customer"

Overall we are very happy with the system in terms of its capability and output. It is user friendly from an employee perspective and we had minimal issues with launching and getting people using the software. Our onboard was not without teething problems however they were addressed quickly and happy with the customer service.

Pros

Overall the system is very user friendly and gives the functionality which we as an organisation require for our People Management. So far any issues we have encountered have been addressed promptly by our account Manager.

Cons

Some elements of the system setup is UK specific and does not reflect jurisdictional nuisances example being Maternity Leave. Some Title Headings are also UK specific such as MOT and Social Security Number.

Very good overall. It is a significant improvement on the HRIS we used previously. The mobile app is particularly useful and easy to navigate.

Pros

Easy to use with clear, high‑quality graphics. The cost reflects the package we selected, as we only needed a simple solution. However, there are upgrade options available, including payroll integration, though we haven’t used those features.

Cons

Initially, the support wasn't always able to answer our questions, but this has improved. Seems to focus quite heavily on the Care Home sector. We do not use the reporting to its full capacity, but the reports we use are good.

### "Good starter system"

The system does exactly what it says on the tin! Good helpful community page for common issues. Mobile app is easy to use for staff.

Pros

Reporting functionality and new AI tools. They share their product roadmap online so you can see upcoming developments.

Cons

You can't edit some features, some must be turned on for all or off for all staff. Perhaps an update in the future.

Having come back to PeopleHR the overall experience has been fantastic, with the support available being much improved comparted to the last time I was using it

Pros

Is its easy of use overall withe the ability to access information via the digital assistant. This along with having recently upgrading licence to include the ripple workflows

Cons

Some of the new features under the access drop down and hub still don't make much sense and appears to be no plan.

Pros

I find Access PeopleHR to be a reliable and easy-to-use HR system that effectively handles core needs such as employee records ,absence tracking and document management. I appreciate the self-service features for reducing admin time. The interface is very practical, offering great value for money. I also like the smooth setup process, and it seems that the staff respond well to it based on the good feedback we receive

Cons

The reporting feature could be improved. Sometimes is not clear how to build reports, it could be more intuitive

### "A great cloud based HR system"

It was easy to implement and the support was really good through the setup process. Any issues have been quickly resolved and we love using it.

Pros

PeopleHR is a cloud based HR system that has a great interface and useful API as well as other features, to connect it up to other systems. It makes managing employees easy and the scheduled reports make it a breeze to stay on top of the users.

Cons

We've had to adapt with a few processes, as we are office365 based we had a problem with saving messages natively from Outlook, but with the aid of an additional tool we can convert to the required formats.

The customer team is very helpful but we still have issues with the App after many case requests. Our contact \[sensitive content hidden\] is very helpful and gave us extra benefits for our loyalty to the program. Instant discounts is a great extra!

Pros

People Analytics is good tool for making graphs. It is easy to update employee details. I like that you can use the planner to see who is on leave.

Cons

The PeopleHR App has issues constantly - our staff often struggle to get in to the app or upload their receipts. The data / reports can be very basic and not use all the information.

### "Honest Review"

Pros

The system is good value for money and customer support responds fairly quickly. The system does everything we need it to do as a small business.

Cons

We do seem to have a few technical issues. Reporting could be better and more user-friendly. The system could also be a bit more user-friendly. Better guidance on how to use the system. More video tutorials etc... we purchased a new part of the system but were not shown how to use it. Had to pay an additional fee to be shown how to use.

### "All HR functions in one place"

My overall experience has been nothing but positive, and as mentioned, you need to grasp all the elements of this package to fully appreciate how it helps with the HR functions overall.

Pros

We use a number of products from the Access Group with one of them being PeopleHR, as it manages our HR processes with ease. The level of support provided by Access is second to none - with any query responded to and resolved quickly. This represents great value for money, with very little time spent by the team on understanding bugs and issues, which the team at Access do on our behalf. Having over 400+ employees, this system manages everything from online collaboration, to holiday bookings and accruals and even the performance management processes.

Cons

There's so much functionality that it takes a long time to fully grasp, but if you dedicate the time to learn, you will eventually reap the benefits.
