Pros

  • When mass messaging is needed, this software serves as the best platform for that. It is a holistic software with great vision to bring the change.

  • I have really enjoyed it and will continue to learn all the ways that it can be utilized. It has been a great help, especially with the pandemic going on.

  • When I first started using Jabber, I love that it replaced my physical office phone. It's easy to use, reliable and the call quality is often better than other softphones I have used.

  • What I like most about this software is that you get very good quality calls for voice and for video calling. It is also great for conference calls and meetings.

Cons

  • The only complaint I have is that sometimes the alerts do not pop up right away and I miss a message.

  • We’re suspecting that this is happening after every update, but either way, it is annoying.

  • Jabber is greedy for the network and offers interruptions that sometimes make communication difficult.

  • Losing ground due to lack of strong features provided by other vendors.

"Jabbing with Jabber"

Overall: Overall Jabber has been a great add-on to keep up with business while away from my desk. Definitely worth a test run to anyone who doesn't want to sit and wait for calls, etc...

Pros: Jabber is useful when out of the office, whether on or off-site. Works about 90% of the time when off-site.

Cons: Sometimes inconsistent, even when on-site with local wifi but could be an internal issue - yet to be resolved.

"Your Small Business Needs This To Run Like A Medium-Sized Enterprise"

Pros: My favorite feature about Jabber is how it connects to our CRM and phone systems. Whenever a customer calls in from a phone number saved on their account, their account auto-populates for us in our CRM & we're instantly able to service the customer's needs.

Cons: Nothing. I honestly think every business needs this.

"Would never recommend"

Overall: My overall experience with Cisco Jabber can be described as frustrating. The platform has the potential to but it does not live up to expectations. The platform's interface is clunky and non-intuitive, making it challenging to navigate through its various features. Messaging and real-time notifications frequently suffer from delays and failures, and collaboration tools, such as screen sharing and file sharing get too many glitches. File sharing is slow and and most important of all, video conferencing suffers from really poor video quality, dropping calls, and audio-video synch issues.

Pros: It can have potential. In theory it offers a comprehensive suite of communication and collaboration tools that can be valuable for businesses seeking to streamline their operations and enhance remote work capabilities. Customer service is not too bad either.

Cons: It just feels old. It suffers from plenty of issues, from unreliable messaging & notifications to a simply bad user interface. Too many glitches/crashes for a tool that should be making your work-life balance better.

"Very simple and basic, focus on chat collaboration"

Pros: Cisco Jabber is very easy to use and intuitive, very simple so you can immediately chat and see the status of other users.

Cons: It is very basic, both in layout and in usage. There is no the opportunity of inserting images in the chat (e.g. print screen) or smiles or whatever. Also, I don't like that much the fact that you cannot see the previous chat maybe in other days since the data and the message are not saved.

"The comprehensive unified communication solution to keep my team connected and collaborative."

Overall: Communication between team members is more fluid and efficient, which has resulted in greater productivity and collaboration in our projects. Integration with third party applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendars has further enhanced our planning and time management capabilities. Additionally, the ability to make high-quality voice and video calls has reduced the need for face-to-face meetings, saving time and resources. Overall, Cisco Jabber has been a valuable addition to our workflow and has significantly improved the way we communicate and collaborate in our organization.

Pros: Since I started using Cisco Jabber at work, I have experienced a noticeable improvement in communication and collaboration with my colleagues. I love how the app integrates instant messaging, voice and video calls, and file sharing into one platform. The presence feature allows me to easily see the availability of my teammates, facilitating fast and efficient communication. Plus, Cisco Jabber's compatibility with a wide range of devices and operating systems allows me to stay connected and collaborate no matter where I am.

Cons: Although Cisco Jabber offers a wide range of features, it also has some limitations. I have occasionally experienced stability and performance issues, especially during video conferences. Also, the user interface could be more intuitive, as it is sometimes difficult to find certain features or settings. Finally, to take full advantage of the capabilities of Cisco Jabber, it is necessary to have an adequate Cisco infrastructure, which can be expensive.

"Fast and Uninterrupted Communication"

Overall: Jabber is used for internal communication in our bank. All meetings are held via Jabber. I did not encounter any problems while using Jabber for all video, audio and text meetings and chats. I didn't see a problem even in fairly crowded meetings. I do screen sharing and file sharing as part of my job. I haven't encountered any problems with these. I am very pleased.

Pros: We do our internal correspondence using Jabber. It provided uninterrupted communication, especially when working from home. It's great for file sharing. I don't remember ever having problems with video and audio communication. It is especially useful for mass chats. I also feel as if my friend is with me in screen sharing.

Cons: I did not encounter any negative features.

"Jabber is a good instant messenger software"

Pros: I like the ability to have video chats while sharing my screen to talk through potential issues with an app.

Cons: The only thing I found that I didn't like about Jabber is the emojis being cartoonish. I would prefer them to be a little more professional.

"Good to use Cisco Jabber for Meetings, internal chat and conferences."

Overall: reduced time between users to ask for some information and have meetings from each desk.

Pros: Is easy to use, users didn't have a lot of training to learn how to use it, they find some features by themselves. Also we have it synchronized with Webex for external meetings.

Cons: The implementation it was complicated, they help us a lot with the server installation and synchronization with phones, but after that, we saw there are many features, a little confuse.

Alternatives Considered: Skype
Reasons for Choosing Cisco Jabber: We have more than 5 years with Cisco Jabber, in that time we use a demo of Sametime but got a lot of issues, skype was an option too, but we decided for an internal chat, skype have the option for users to chat with external people.

"Cisco Jabber is easy to use"

Overall: my over all experience using cisco jabber since my company using it everyday for meetings cisco is the best no lags especially on the audio clear and loud

Pros: What I like the most using cisco is more easy to used than the other application that I used even if you are not tech savvy you will easily manage how to used it

Cons: well for me if they will add more filter it will be lovely plus adding different sounds notification will be better

"Useful tool"

Overall: My overall experience with Cisco was overall fine. The tool is super useful especially for companies on the bigger side. It makes chatting with anyone easy and fast.

Pros: I used Cisco Jabber when I was working at a big company. It is a quite useful tool that allows you to communicate instantly to other colleagues from around the world.

Cons: I feel like Cisco’s design could have been a bit more intuitive for users - however, nothing bad, it takes a day to figure it out and become familiar with it.

"Sufficient "

"Cisco Jabber is dependable and user friendly"

Overall: Jabber makes it easy to communicate within the firm and with clients

Pros: The product is easy to use and intuitive. We use it firm-wide with much success. You have mobile and desktop options, which is great for whatever the day calls for.

Cons: Not aware of difficulty in integration but it took some getting used to

"Phasing Out"

"Cisco Jabber Review"

Pros: The file-sharing option is best because I get to share files with colleagues instantly without needing to send an email or putting on the server

Cons: The mic turns itself off sometimes which causes issues in video meetings. This can be a glitch. Please fix.

"A superb end to end communication tool"

Overall: Cisco as a vendor has a great reputation in the market and they are one of the market leaders when it comes to communication management. My overall experience has been tremendous and I was very content with the quality of features.

Pros: Cisco Jabber is one of the best communication tool for managing the end to end communication requirements of your organisation. It has got variety of features to assist the users in meeting their collaboration needs. The quality of conferencing is amazingly high and screen sharing works flawlessly.

Cons: One of the features with which I struggled with Cisco Jabber is it's calling functionality. In order to call someone externally, a user will have to understand and know the pre-fix numbers to be added. Without that it will not be possible to dial an external number.

"Cisco Jabber"

Pros: I like the ability to use this via VPN in order to make work calls from outside the office. I also like the ability to chat with coworkers within my department and externally.

Cons: There is sometimes a problem with how my computer speakers and microphone interface with the software causing me to have to reboot my computer.
