### "Jabber una soluzione professionale"

October 10, 2025

5.0

### "Reliable but dated"

May 14, 2026

3.0

Cisco Jabber provides a stable unified communications platform for messaging, presence, and voice/video calling. It integrates well with Cisco UC infrastructure but feels dated compared to newer platforms.

Pros

Reliable calling functionality Voice and video calls are generally stable Good integration with desk phone systems (CUCM) Call quality is consistent on a well-configured network

Cons

Outdated user interface UI feels old compared to Teams/Webex/Zoom Not as user-friendly or intuitive

### "Jabber hat noch viel Potential"

March 3, 2025

1.0

Schlechte Erfahrung, nicht Stabil, schlecht Sprachqualität

Pros

Nichts, nicht Intuitiv, muss unbedingt stabiler werden.

Cons

### "Simple and convenient tool for remote communication"

March 13, 2025

4.0

We mainly use Cisco Jabber as a standalone remote communication tool. It is simple to use and has a lot of configuration settings. It allows you to easily intercept calls or transfer incoming calls to another phone number.

Pros

Cisco Jabber is simple yet has a lot of features like Microsoft Office integration.

Cons

Sometimes the settings don't work anymore like Office add-in or the device for microphone/speaker changes.

### "Remote calls"

November 14, 2024

5.0

Since Covid, I have been working a hybrid schedule. I have days during the week where I work remote and used this app on my computer frequently to make calls to client's. It's been really useful. I can use it anywhere as long as I have internet.

Pros

You get assigned a number and can easily make calls straight from your computer. This is great if and when you have to work remotely.

Cons

That you have to be connected to internet or WIFI in order to make calls out/receieve them from computer.

### "The comprehensive unified communication solution to keep my team connected and collaborative."

May 10, 2023

5.0

Communication between team members is more fluid and efficient, which has resulted in greater productivity and collaboration in our projects. Integration with third party applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Google Calendars has further enhanced our planning and time management capabilities. Additionally, the ability to make high-quality voice and video calls has reduced the need for face-to-face meetings, saving time and resources. Overall, Cisco Jabber has been a valuable addition to our workflow and has significantly improved the way we communicate and collaborate in our organization.

Pros

Since I started using Cisco Jabber at work, I have experienced a noticeable improvement in communication and collaboration with my colleagues. I love how the app integrates instant messaging, voice and video calls, and file sharing into one platform. The presence feature allows me to easily see the availability of my teammates, facilitating fast and efficient communication. Plus, Cisco Jabber's compatibility with a wide range of devices and operating systems allows me to stay connected and collaborate no matter where I am.

Cons

Although Cisco Jabber offers a wide range of features, it also has some limitations. I have occasionally experienced stability and performance issues, especially during video conferences. Also, the user interface could be more intuitive, as it is sometimes difficult to find certain features or settings. Finally, to take full advantage of the capabilities of Cisco Jabber, it is necessary to have an adequate Cisco infrastructure, which can be expensive.

### "Great for online audio and video usage!!"

November 5, 2023

5.0

Pros

I'm a big fan of Cisco Jabber for a few key reasons. The "Two-Way Audio & Video" feature is a game-changer for me. It's like having a face-to-face conversation, even when I'm working remotely. The quality of the audio and video is impressive, making virtual meetings feel natural and clear. I also love how Cisco Jabber integrates seamlessly with other Cisco products. It's like having a one-stop-shop for all my communication needs—whether it's instant messaging, voice calls, video chats, or screen sharing, I can do it all in one place. The flexibility to use Cisco Jabber on different devices is a huge plus for me. Whether I'm on my laptop, tablet, or phone, I can stay connected without any hassle. And, of course, the security features make me feel confident that my communications are always protected. Overall, Cisco Jabber is a go-to for efficient and secure communication in my daily work routine.

Cons

While I appreciate Cisco Jabber's features, there are a couple of things that have been a bit tricky for me. The interface was a bit overwhelming at first, and it took some time to get used to all the different functions. I also noticed that it can be a bit demanding on my computer's resources, which sometimes affects its performance, especially on less powerful devices. Integration with other Cisco products is cool, but for me, who uses a mix of communication tools, it can be a bit less seamless. Sometimes, managing the security features feels a bit complex, and it might not be everyone's cup of tea. However, these are more like bumps in the road rather than roadblocks. Once you get the hang of it, Cisco Jabber offers a robust communication experience, especially if you're deep into the Cisco ecosystem.

### "Cisco Jabber, a complete tool for the enterprise Collaboration"

August 10, 2023

5.0

I use Jabber but also webex app. Either are very powerful tool that a modern enterprise must have.

Pros

Cisco Jabber is a very simple and intuitive tool. It is suitable in modern enterprise realities to apply a new way to work. Collaboration helps enterprise to became powerful.

Cons

Jabber could be used inside the enterprise network but using Sip trunk or Cisco cloud services it becomes the complete tool to manage audio and video conferencing, chat, ftp sharing and so on. The evolution of Jabber is webex app.

### "Call Your Friends without a Phone. Just Make Sure Your Microphone is Plugged in First."

September 30, 2021

5.0

So, I use Cisco Jabber for work only, and only when I need to keep my private number private. Because I have a service-oriented job based on appointments, I have to protect my personal space. So, clients don’t get to call me at 2am for a punctuation question. They need an appointment first. But they also need a call from me when they’re late for their appointment. How do I call them without using my phone? Cisco Jabber. Now, this doesn’t mean they won’t call the Cisco number back when they miss my call. They do sometimes. But I don’t hear that call. Why? Because they’re calling the Cisco number, not my number. My phone stays quiet, just the way I prefer it (but I still get the email alert that they tried calling me back). There may be other uses where the Jabber user might want the client to call him back, but that’s not my use case. My use case is hands-free, computer speaker and microphone communication, with privacy controls that keeps people from contacting me at odd hours. What’s not to like about that? As far as video features go, I don’t have access to them. This probably helps with cost management (I assume, even though I’m not the one paying for it). If I did, I’d use the same way I use the audio features. I’d just show my face more.

Pros

(About audio conferencing features only—I don’t have access to video features.) In an age when our smartphones do everything but call our friends, family, or clients, it’s refreshing to have a desktop app that can make calls in the smartphone’s place. It seems appropriate in a time when we’re all worried about the robots rising and taking over the world. Why not transfer the functionality of a telephone to the same computer where we program those world-dominating robots? It’s practical. Cisco Jabber takes the classic idea of making calls with a phone and puts it in the same place where we spend most of our worktime. This frees up desk space, as well as keeps the smartphone available for what it was invented to do: take Instagram photos. Not to mention, because it has its own number, it makes it easier to contact clients without having to give them your personal phone number. Need to make a call, but you don’t want to share your home phone? Cisco Jabber makes that easy. And best of all, because you call through your computer, all you need is a microphone to speak and speakers to listen, and you never have to pick up the phone at all. If you hate having sweaty ears, then Cisco Jabber is your app of choice. Note: Because I have access to phone features only, and Cisco Jabber has more available that I can’t use, I can see where it may also be a pro for business owners that Cisco apparently allows custom features availability for users, depending on roles.

Cons

As far as I know, there’s no way to receive a call, and this can be an issue if you end up playing phone tag. (Note: I use a work account, and my configuration may be the reason for this, so I don’t want to claim with absolution that Cisco Jabber doesn’t alert users of an incoming call. I just know that my account doesn’t receive alerts of incoming calls. That may differ with other users. I do, however, get email alerts that someone tried to call, and I also have a voicemail box that no one ever uses. So, it’s great for phone tag.) Depending on network connection, the service occasionally needs refreshing. And I can’t seem to get rid of that network window without closing the app. But I use it for work, not for fun, so I only open it when I need to call a client to remind them that the appointment has started and that time is ticking. So, for me, the cons are minor.

### "Improvement needed"

June 20, 2020

3.0

It does its job - transferring information in a very quick and convenient way. It's easy to find users and reach out to them via chat and/or phone, and also allows for file sharing. However, I would highly recommend changing the interface to something more modern/aesthetically pleasing, and instigating an update that hinders the application from crashing as often as it does.

Pros

Jabber is quite straightforward to use, it's nice having all of the chats lined up in the sidebar so it's easily navigable from person to person. It also has the option of erasing chats if the program is exited out, which is of course a benefit from a proprietary standpoint (less so if you need to reference something that was said, of course). Not a lot of bells and whistles, so starting up the program is quite fast in the mornings, which I can appreciate. Since it's through Cisco, it also easily allows you to call people's work phones through the system.

Cons

While the user interface is straightforward, it also seems incredibly archaic and dull. During start-up it doesn't pull up the main "chat" screen, and instead pulls up a type of "home" screen where you can access your settings/any voicemails, but to actually chat a person (which I feel is the main purpose of this program), you need to search their name in a search bar > click on their name/chat icon > and it pulls everything up into its own separate window, which I find to be a bit of a waste of time. Additionally, when trying to share screenshots (by dragging into the chat box) the screenshots take up the FULL width of the screen, so I have to deal with scrolling back and forth to disseminate all of the information. It also does not allow me to drag + drop (or copy-paste) a received screenshot anywhere else. I have to first download the image onto my desktop. Again, seems like an unnecessary amount of steps. My biggest gripe, however, is that Jabber has the tendency to completely freeze and crash on a pretty daily basis. This has resulted in chats getting lost in the void, or being unable to go back and reference information that was sent mere minutes ago.

### "Fast and Uninterrupted Communication"

May 8, 2023

5.0

Jabber is used for internal communication in our bank. All meetings are held via Jabber. I did not encounter any problems while using Jabber for all video, audio and text meetings and chats. I didn't see a problem even in fairly crowded meetings. I do screen sharing and file sharing as part of my job. I haven't encountered any problems with these. I am very pleased.

Pros

We do our internal correspondence using Jabber. It provided uninterrupted communication, especially when working from home. It's great for file sharing. I don't remember ever having problems with video and audio communication. It is especially useful for mass chats. I also feel as if my friend is with me in screen sharing.

Cons

I did not encounter any negative features.

### "Useful and easy to use "

April 13, 2022

4.0

Jabber has allowed our engineering team to stay in close contact during the pandemic so we can discuss solutions to problems and plan accordingly. In addition, our help desk started using it during the pandemic to discuss problems with the engineers, and request assistance or pass on a particularly difficult issue. We found jabber useful before the pandemic, and during it truly proved it’s worth.

Pros

Jabber is simple for end users to use, yet robust enough for IT professionals to use as well. I like the ability to personalize my offline notice. It is easy to have jabber set up on a mobile device as well as your computer, and both seem to work equally well. The ability to private message is very useful, and the fact that Jabber saves the conversations is very handy as well.

Cons

Sometimes messages sent on mobile do not show up on the computer. It is still saved on the mobile device, but it occasionally causes confusion.

### "Praticidade e facilidade de utilizar o Cisco Jabber"

June 25, 2023

3.0

Pros

### "Could use a few good updates"

February 22, 2019

3.0

Pros

I like the Meet Now and screen sharing capabilities. I like being able to set my personalized status and being able to get a hold of colleagues across my company instantly.

Cons

1\. I don't like the fact that it does not automatically back up chats. I've lost a LOT of important information when Jabber shut down for one reason or another. It would be great to select which chat threads you want to save. That way, you can mark the chats to save as soon as you start them and the application would save them automatically in the event of a planned/unplanned shutdown. 2. I don't like the fact that sometimes documents can be dragged-and-dropped to send them to colleagues and sometimes it just doesn't work. So the chain of communication is broken when the documents have to now be sent via email. 3. A recent update causes the main Jabber window to automatically appear. It's pretty annoying. 4. Even though the telephony system is integrated, it seems that users cannot call others using that feature. Users should be able to dial any number using a keypad. An older product made by a competitor allowed users to do that. 5. It has a screen capture feature that allows users to send screenshots via chat, but if they try to copy that image (say, to send it to another person), there is no way to do that. I hope future upgrades take this into account, or at least provide a way for users to get instructions on how to go about doing these things (noting, for example, if those features are controlled by the admins).

### "Would never recommend"

September 27, 2023

2.0

My overall experience with Cisco Jabber can be described as frustrating. The platform has the potential to but it does not live up to expectations. The platform's interface is clunky and non-intuitive, making it challenging to navigate through its various features. Messaging and real-time notifications frequently suffer from delays and failures, and collaboration tools, such as screen sharing and file sharing get too many glitches. File sharing is slow and and most important of all, video conferencing suffers from really poor video quality, dropping calls, and audio-video synch issues.

Pros

It can have potential. In theory it offers a comprehensive suite of communication and collaboration tools that can be valuable for businesses seeking to streamline their operations and enhance remote work capabilities. Customer service is not too bad either.

Cons

It just feels old. It suffers from plenty of issues, from unreliable messaging & notifications to a simply bad user interface. Too many glitches/crashes for a tool that should be making your work-life balance better.

### "Good to use Cisco Jabber for Meetings, internal chat and conferences."

reduced time between users to ask for some information and have meetings from each desk.

Pros

Is easy to use, users didn't have a lot of training to learn how to use it, they find some features by themselves. Also we have it synchronized with Webex for external meetings.

Cons

The implementation it was complicated, they help us a lot with the server installation and synchronization with phones, but after that, we saw there are many features, a little confuse.
