My accountant can run any report that he needs. Never a problem. Pros The ease of getting started and the ability to have multiple customers. Also, the ease of having more than one employee working on quickbooks at the same time. Cons How quickly they stopped supporting 2021 desktop. It can be as complex or as basic as you want it to be. Pros Robust, perfect for inventory tracking, invoices, payroll, profit / loss, and reporting. This is the ideal version of Quickbooks Cons Unfortunately this is getting phased out in favor of the inferior online version. I was able to input all the pertinent information whenever a transaction was done, and the software processed the information for each client and transaction seamlessly. Pros The convenience of having records at hand and easily organizable by the program, making the process more efficient and less time consuming. Cons I would love to have been able to integrate all of my business transactions into the program more easily in order to allow it to calculate taxes. If you are growing fast some capabilities could be missing. Pros It is affordable for medium sized businesses and do not need high infrastructure costs. It has high lerning curve, so it is easy to hire people who knows it. QB desktop can be set even with help of in-house team. Priced moderately and do not need specific trainings. Has connectivity to the most popular payrol solution providers (Bamboo etc.) and banks. Cons Not very efficient inventory tool, just accounting so it is needed is you operate large item volume to get additional inventory management solution. Good to have build in payrol solution to reduce license costs. It is needed industry specific packages f.e. construction to get field operations and efficient estimate creation tools. Sometimes is unstable during import of inventory data and needs more offering for RPA and dashboard creation. No IFRS specific reports. Review Source JE Jemi E. Had not problem adding people to the file. Pros Was able to complete jobs in a timely fashion. Had no problem moving through system. Filling in was a breeze Cons Instructions did seem a little confusing at first. But once you got use to the program it worked. It makes accounting easier and is a really good way to get organised prior to submitting accounts to your accountant. Pros The ability to quickly complete accounts and see an estimate of the tax figure year by year. It is easy to add receipts alongside expenses without the need to store paper receipts. I have sinced switched to odoo.com as the price of QB keeps going up to where it is no longer justifiable. Pros QuickBooks Desktop is easy to use and customize. Much more so than the online version. Also there is no internet connection needed or monthly subscription fees. Cons The price goes up substantially every year, and there are threats of product discountenance, even though the online replacement does not offer half of what the desktop version does, and it constantly goes down and has bugs and nowhere near the level of customizability. I use it everyday and it really helps me keep all of my accounts in check! Pros I like that QuickBooks allows me to take control of all accounts payable and receivable. I also like the accessibility to all of my important reports that help me keep my business running! Cons QuickBooks is a little hard to navigate. Also, running reports was easy and accurate. Cons Adding new users and communication with customer service was a little tricky. Pros I've been using Quickbooks Desktop Mac for more than 20 years. I love it. It's perfect for my small business and the two additional "companies" I've set up for personal and rental property transactions. Cons No complaints, except now the company, through huge price increases, is forcing everyone into the online version, which will also be unaffordable for my setup. It is easy to use and their customer service is top tier! Pros I enjoy the level of organization and amount of services offered by QuickBooks Desktop. I use the bookkeeping and payroll features everyday! Cons I do wish there was a "dark mode" option because 8 hours of viewing the bright interface tends to give me headaches.
