I love that I have multiple useful tools all in one place. I often utilize the org chart, the survey tool, the onboarding tool, and the company page. For new and existing employees, this is a useful tool in helping them to understand the structure & function of our company and to understand the vision and the culture of our business. Pros Workleap Pingboard has made our onboarding process more seamless. I am able to create onboarding checklist templates and assign them when new employees start. Their managers even have access to view the checklists, monitor progress, and make any additions as needed. This makes everything more efficient and ensures we don't miss any crucial onboarding steps. Cons Lately, ever since Pingboard was most recently acquired, I am having some issues with the survey tool. Employees will fill out the entire survey, but some questions show they left the answer blank. The questions are not optional and the employees have confirmed they filled in the answers, so I assume this is a technical glitch. Maybe some bugs as a result of the acquisition. It was very easy to search and use! Pros Really loved the integration with Slack and GCal. Before the pandemic, Pingboard was our go-to place to report OOO and vacation statuses. I loved how it would post to Slack and we could easily see which team members were not in office for the day. Another great thing about Pingboard is the user profiles. In 2020, we experience a high growth phase and new employees were joining almost every week, so having an org chart in Pingboard made it extremely easily to look up a team or even specific employee so you knew who to contact for certain projects. Deleting an employee there doesn't delete them from the system, and editing the chart takes a lot of getting used to. Cons The downside of Pingboard is that it can be a little difficult to find contact information for people within the directory.
