Pros good to see the chart and the drop down menu from main job titles. you can see a huge chart but if the company size is 1k that might be a little problem. Cons when you do not know the full name of a person but remember the name starts with 'T'for example, o after listing everyone in the company you need to scroll down all the way down T. there is no filter that would get you there quickly. The ability to see everyone's manager or direct report is valuable. Especially for engineering teams, as I can better understand thematically what areas they focus on. Cons The org chart UI is a little clunky and doesn't look super polished. It also highly depends on how frequently your HR/People team is updating the chart to reflect any new hires or changes. It shows who is out, when people have birthdays and anniversaries, and who works on which teams. All vital to having a connected office. Pros It is very helpful in the workplace for figuring out who is on what team. It shows who everyone works with and is helpful when looking to see if they are in the office or not. Cons It is difficult to change your picture without admin approval but other than that all the features are helpful. Cons I'm not a fan of the reformatting of the org chart. In the earlier version, it was much easier to see who wasn't added to a team and who's outstanding. Pros I like being able to quickly see which of my coworkers are out of office. It integrates with Slack as well, which is nice. The mobile app has a game for you to match faces with names, so that has been a great way to learn people's names! It also notifies my boss as soon as I update a status. So if I need to work remote or take a day off, I just update my status on the app and my boss gets notified immediately after. No need to text, call or email him. Cons There honestly isn't much I dont like about Pingboard. I guess the app could use a little bit of a facelift. The T-Shirt size field is also surprisingly useful when ordering shirts for events etc. Cons Would have liked to have an option to integrate into LinkedIn to autofill some of the fields, that's about it. I like being able to run reports as well when I need a complete list of employee names, start dates and if they are full time or part time (I use the Skills section for this) Pros We have a large employee base. I love how it interfaces with Gmail. Everytime I register a new employee with an email address, it sync's to Pingboard. It is an excellent way to see what department people belong to, and to put a face to the name. It's great that I can also assign them to 2 different departments if I need to. The staff loves getting the weekly emails showing who has a birthday and anniversary. Cons In Employee Profile, I wish some of the sections I've added such as "HIPAA Training" ect, could only be edited by an admin member, but still visible to the employee so they know when they need to do their annual training. When I need to go to someone's desk who I may not have met, it makes it easy to know who I'm looking for due to their image being readily available. Pros I love having a searchable directory at my fingertips, whether it's via my desktop computer or the mobile app. Birthdays and out of office notifications are also quite useful! Pros I have really enjoyed using this software. It makes learning about your co-workers fun and it's also really easy to use. Cons Honestly, I can't think of anything that I don't like about it and I'm not just saying that. I can't think of any additional functionality I would want in the tool at this time. November 19, 2018 5.0 I work on a company with 3 different locations (mine is overseas) since I won't be personally dealing with my coworkers, I like being able to know a bit of them before calling. Pros I like how user friendly the interface is. It has this facebook vibe where you can find any coworker's contact info, picture and birthday. Also being able to see an employee, and the people above and below him is pretty useful. Cons Not really big complain, am not sure if it is my computer but I would like some sort of "remember login account" type of thing where you don't have to enter your email and password to get in but instead it auto-opens it. February 17, 2017 5.0 We use Pingboard mainly for PTO tracking but it's also really helpful in a couple other ways. We're an agency with 1/3 of our workforce being remote so it can be hard to know where everyone \*physically\* is at times and this is hugely helpful for that. The PTO tracking is also helpful as it relates to agency life because we can clearly communicate to our clients when they can anticipate some of our folks being out of office. And being able to show everyone (both locally and remote) photos of the team helps when keeping track of names to faces :-) Review Source Drew M. June 27, 2019 4.0 As mentioned above, my only problem with Pingboard is the limited sorting capabilities. In an extremely global and distributed company, I benefit from using Pingboard daily when I'm collaborating with other team members across the globe. Pros I absolutely enjoy and take advantage of the many resource and options to display and organize your organizational details and information. It is specially helpful the Out of Office tab in, which you can easily search who are the employees away at any given time. Cons The limited methods of sorting within the Directory.
