Cons (1) Integrate abbreviations for words or phrases used repeatedly when filling out time sheets, so that the user only needs to type the abbreviation rather than writing the complete word or phrase. For example, "TW" for "telephone call with". The user will enter TW and the software automatically writes "telephone call with". (2) When words are misspelled, the software should correct automatically or at least show possible corrections (like Microsoft Word features when words are misspelled). Review Source AF Al F. Executrix and Paralegal/Investigator Legal Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "The perfect fit" January 11, 2020 5.0 It's been a life saver in that I can easily and conveniently produce supporting documentation as to my out of pocket expenses and time in administering this estate as well as bill for and account for my time and expenses in my Paralegal/Investigation firm which makes getting paid much easier and with no hassle because the invoices and statements are detailed, clear and easy for my clients to understand. Pros The software is much like the software that I had become accustomed to using at a law firm and is reasonably priced for me as a one person newly established business where the cost of the law firms software is simply not feasible. Additionally, I love the convenience of being able to create and produce a customized report for any given request for information once an entry has been created and entered. The ease of use and setup is also something I really like. Cons I haven't found anything thus far that I don't like about the software. Reason for choosing Bill4Time It remains to be the perfect fit for my needs. Pros It is easy to create new clients, projects and then track all project related billable time and expenses. Generating invoices at the end of each month is an easy and accurate process. Cons None really. We are happy with the entire workflow process. Cons We changed plan mid-month and were billed twice for adding the same user, even though Bill4 Time does not disclose anywhere on its website that it refuses to pro-rate bills. So, beware that if you need to add a user and also need to change plans, you will be billed twice for that same user. The Company's support representative (which appears to be a single person) does not seem to grasp why this is inappropriate. We requested a refund of this double billing charge, and they refused to honor it. Review Source LB Leslie B. October 5, 2017 5.0 Control over my time and eases the "task" of invoicing clients for work produced for them. What's not to like ... converting from Timeslips to Bill4Time literally saved my practice and my homelife!! No more stress to get monthly invoices out. A single one-off invoice can be produced in minutes to submit to escrow for a closing or other special needs. Just a terrific tool for a firm like mine. Pros Ease of use is key. Works across all platforms, desktop, iPad, iPhone from anywhere anytime. Helps me gauge my productivity on a daily basis throughout the month. Doesn't take specialized training to use like Timeslips did. Not dependent on a staff member to enter time from time sheets gives me more flexibility and CAPTURES more of the time spent on tasks. I really like that we are able to have the developers create custom reports that fit our needs. Cons So far I have found nothing that I don't like. September 14, 2018 5.0 I have saved a lot of money by using this software, and I would have otherwise had to spend a lot of time and money. Pros The software has a very reasonable price for the number of users you are allowed, and the functionality. There are multiple configurations that each client can have depending on the fee structure, and I have never had a problem with creating a billing agreement that could not be expressed in this software. Cons It is difficult to finalize the invoices, and occasionally, the software will have issues selecting which client to finalize an invoice for. Review Source TP Therese P. Pros I put in minimal amount of information and was tracking my time on my first day of use. Cons Customizing invoices is a bit of a challenge, I suspect because it is pulling information from a variety of fields. Like any data base software application, you have to be careful about how you are utilizing the fields to avoid GIGO. Pros The software is easy to use. It is intuitive, practical and has the right things I need to track time, expenses and create billing quickly and efficiently. Linked with the app for business travel, I have not lost any expenses and doing this during trips in live time has been a huge time saver for me. Cons I can't think of anything. The software makes it extremely easy to enter time from any place, whether it be in the office or on the beach. Creating invoices is also simple as is the ability to send them directly from the software. Cons Sometime the link between the program and the invoice takes a number of tries to work. I love their chat feature and it is really important. Anytime I have a question about a client's bill, I can get it sorted out in less than 10 minutes. It is so easy. Pros This software is extremely easy to use and gets better every year. I use it for everything with my law firm. The billing is extremely easy and it takes me only about 45 minutes to do all of my billing each month. Other firms take days and have an employee just to manage the billing. I can add users easily and set their access levels. I never had a problem so far, after working with it for 5 years. The website is never down. Cons Can't think of anything about the software, it works perfectly. It is not cheap, that is maybe the only thing. Cons The latest app update was a huge improvement but more work is needed to improve efficiency & ease of use. Greater integration with lawpay would be good as well as use by solos. Pros The software is easy to follow and figure out, very user friendly. With both a web-version and an app, it's super easy to keep up to date on your billing no matter where you are. Cons The desktop version is/was buggy about a year ago - I switched to the web version and have had no trouble, so that may have been fixed since that time.
