Attorney Legal Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Customer Support Is Fantastic" April 20, 2017 5.0 I've used Bill4Time for more than 5 years, and they have continually worked to adapt and add additional features. It is a very good product. Pros Bill4Time is very intuitive, and the customer support staff are responsive and very easy to work with. Bill4Time provides a very functional platform that allows busy professionals to have the tools they need at their fingertips wherever they are. Cons Bill4Time is great at tracking time and providing reports for the time and invoices, but it is not a full scale CRM. That has not been a problem for my firm, as that was not the purpose. I'm not a computer wizard and they know how to help you without making you feel like a complete idiot ! Pros Customer support is great. I usually have an answer very shortly after I send an inquiry. Also, I used Timeslips for years and I love how much more flexible this program is. Cons I don't like that I HAVE to have a matter and a client. I would prefer to have a choice to only have a client. Switched from [Sage Timeslips](https://www.capterra.com/p/114210/Sage-Timeslips/) It was time to upgrade and I wanted more flexibility in my software billing. So I started looking at other programs. I did the week trial for Clio - Bill4Time and one other I can't recall the name. I would highly recommend this product! " Cons There are a few glitches when entering whole batches of entries that need to be addressed. For example, some settings don't always transfer through to the next row and it ends up costing valuable time having to go back and change settings on each entry within the batch. It is not an exaggeration to say that this program pays for itself. Pros Bill4Time has a great web-interface. It conquers the difficult challenge of making it very easy to capture your time while remaining very flexible for a wide range of user preferences without complicating. We love the billing and invoicing part of this, and it wasn't the main reason we chose Bill4Time, and yet, it is something we use monthly. Pros From initial enrollment to hands-on, remarkable time. We were up and running the same day. Customer service is always prompt in returning emails, no long hold time, and very friendly representatives. User friendly, not a lot of time needs to be spent introducing this product to employees. Cons The only con would be that BILL4Time does not actually help in litigation. If it did, we would be the first to purchase that too!!😊 Reason for choosing Bill4Time So much less expensive than the competitors, and a vast amount of options that will definitely fit your business needs. Overall, I am so appreciative that the process is simple and allows a good tracking/reporting component when it comes to locating the expenses incurred for each client. Pros I really appreciate how easy it is to use this software. The set up is minimal and it is convenient to get started billing clients. I like that I can have a pop-out window of the client I am currently working on. Cons I don't have any real complaints about the software. Office Manager Legal Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Robust Product, Strong Customer Support, Full Features Pricey for Small Firms" July 17, 2020 4.0 Pros As a relatively new user, I find their entry level product is feature-rich, robust, and mostly intuitive but it does have a significant learning curve to it--which is where their strong customer support thus far has proven extremely helpful. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been friendly, patient and knowledgeable with strong follow up--I never feel like I'm using bandwidth I don't have to spare chasing someone for help. Cons Ability to split bills between clients without a "workaround" would be helpful. Getting some of the full "custom" features like invoice templates, reports, and data available at an enterprise level is pricey for small firms. It would be very nice to have an intermediate tier or á la carte options available so as not to price us out from features we could benefit from without simultaneously paying for unnecessary features we will never use. Youtube videos on use of product are very convenient and comprehensive. Cons I cannot think of anything I do not like about the software. I wish it were easier to insert multiple billing rates for the same client (e.g., bill one rate for work and another rate for travel). I think this can be done, I just haven't figured it out yet.
