I prefer to use Toggl and just at the end of the week import all the hours because in that way I do not have to spend a lot of time on Redmine. Cons It is not easy to use, it seems outdated, for some reason I was never able to see “my timesheet” and have to do a lot of filtering to find my hours. I do not like using this tool. Pros It has many features that are essential to project management like grant charts, assigning tasks and hosted locally. Users can assign for tasks and deadlines. Cons User interfaces of this applications is very poor and it's very hard to figure out process and features available within the application. There's no notification system also. The installation and updates were always an issue; now it is a bit better with docker containers. There are lot of minor issues here and there, which are probably resulting from a big list of functions.
