The publication is the main communication and marketing tool that we use to connect with our members and the general public. It's more efficient to provide a link versus the monthly costs of printing and mailing the newsletter. Cons Yes, the print-on-demand process needs to be less costly. Pros Issuu allows us to get a PDF of our print newspaper online at no cost to us. Cons The UI is not always easy or intuitive. Also, over the years, Issuu's attempts to monetize more of their business has led to taking away functionality that used to be free. That seems a violation of trust with their clients. Issuu is universally recognizable to consumers and is easy to use, both for me as a publisher and for my readers. Pros It’s easy to get started and to upload your content. I also like that it essentially serves as the archives for all my publications from the past decade. Cons I don’t like that the individual issue isn’t embedded onto my website without a paid subscription. There are lots of features that you have to pay for, which is understandable, but this is the only one I need and I’m not willing to pay a monthly fee for it at this time. Review Source LD Lisa D. Especially during covid, Issuu has been key to keeping our reps and customers up to date with our latest products. Pros Issuu is so easy to use. Reuploading is easy if you have an update or catch an error. Love the ability to have a mix of public and private publications. Cons I can't figure out the social media stories. We started many year ago uploading our Activity Guide. I think we were actually one of the first few. After a few years we started to notice more and more cities uploading their guide on ISSUU. ITs been great. Pros The ease and use of the software. It is easy to upload, edit, markup...you name it. Its easy to understand. Cons Nothing really. The option to organize publications into stacks is nice. The article feature where it pulls the stories from the magazines is cool too. It is straightforward on how to use and allows for fun ways to expand on your publication for social sharing. Cons When we first started using Issuu we were able to embed the issue on our site as a part of the free account. After some changes, you now have to pay for that option. We used it until we decided we needed our own dedicated website for the same content. Pros Most people have at least minor familiarity with it, so it's a trusted name to getting clickthroughs already. New Story tools and Social tools are great step. Need to improve design controls so end products have consitent finish. This makes sense and most people are familiar with electronic flippable catalogs now, so it's easy for customers to use as well! Pros I find Issuu easy to use and intuitive. I love to be able to directly link product photos to my website so people may purchase with ease. Pros It's free. It's pretty user friendly, I didn't have to look up a tutorial before using it, it's pretty intuitive. I love the reupload feature and the link remains the same, such a life saver!
