Software Consultant Computer & Network Security Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Perfect companion for every housing society" February 8, 2025 5.0 Three societies in three cities where I lived have used the app and it was just perfect! Most of the use cases for internal management were covered. Pros The security at the gate would send in a request if the person is allowed to enter was a game changer to keep unwanted people outside like salesman etc. Cons Paying maintenance though the app adds a little fee while a bank transfer doesn't add any fee. Credit Card payment was the most painful one! I can't blame them as credit card processing companies add that fee and they are just passing on. Guards already know that I am coming, which saves me a lot of waiting time. Pros Faster deliveries as guards are pre-informed, reducing long wait times. Times when i can inform in advance guest dont wait. Cons If approval is missed or late, delivery may still get delayed at the gate. If phone is not handy or am away from the phone, cant approve. Payments, reports, visitor logs, notices—it's all right there. It genuinely feels like using a full-fledged ERP system. Pros User Interface and easeness to know the balances which helps for recoveries. It helps to keep track of all activities. Also, overall cost to benefit is positive. Generating financial statements is quick and accurate. It is much better than manually tracking everything. Pros Automated accounting reduces manual work. Quick and accurate financial reports. It’s an all-round app that has made community living more secure and convenient. The visitor management features are incredibly helpful, and I no longer have to deal with constant calls from delivery agents or security. Pros MyGate has really made our lives much more simpler and much more safer. Entry approval is one of the most important features in a gated community and MyGate ticks all the boxes. Cons The thing I dislike about MyGate is the occasional glitches or delays in notifications, which can be a bit frustrating. It balances simplicity along with strong feature. Pros In my gate app seniors can manage bills independently and committees get audit ready reports. overall app is beneficial Cons In this app some advanced reports may need basic training to interpret fully otherwise the app is great. The app can be customized to add many features as per colony management. The possibilities are endless. Pros 1\. The best part of myGate is that no stranger can enter your colony without permission, including maids, drivers, helpers, workers, visitors, etc. 2. There is a facility to pre-approve someone or add auto approvals for pre-decided criteria. For regular visitors like drivers or daily help, you can get the details entered in the app. You can even include their snaps and phone numbers. 3. The community section provides valuable information on residents, emergency numbers, notice boards, local directory, etc. 4. You can also pay utility bills mapped on the app – like electricity, water, rent, maintenance, prepaid meter, etc. 5. All community members can lodge complaints within the app and start public discussions. 6. Several services are a click away. All you have to do is search for available services in your locality. 7. The app lets you add details of family members and vehicles for automatic entry and exit approvals. 8. In case of unapproved visitors, the app reminds with app notification, reminder, phone call, or security guard intervention. 9. With the Quick Action menu, you can comfortably use frequent activities on the app. 10. You can update your profile to let other members know more about you. Cons 1\. When management is not active, many features remain unused. 2. Your genuine visitors may face inconvenience if you make mistakes in approvals, leading to awkward situations. 3. Security may allow unwanted visitors without approval if the instructions are unclear. 4. If you do not have access to your app, you may be locked out, especially in large colonies. 5. Pros The sense of security the app gives is tremendous and very admirable. Cons Based on my usage and needs; I haven't experienced any issues so far.
