Pros Product is super easy to use and with more features coming out will be even better. Price was on point for the amazing features that already come with it. Additionally, I am not paying extra for a lot of random stuff that I don't know how to use. Amazing customer support and help with setup and integration questions. Cons There are some very minor things that I think could be added/changed, but I have been told some of these features were coming so I don't necessarily want to list them. Cons Waitlist feature is problematic. There is no fast and clear way of pulling up all the sessions used in a package. There could be more fluidity with payment: mainly the ability to apply payment to something already booked. It would be nice to display your availability for private appts separately from the ones that you reserve for ongoing clients. A lot of softwares don’t have this or if they do it is way over priced. Cons The only thing I feel like I’m missing is getting an email when a client cancels an in studio class reservation. Pros I love how easy it is for me to navigate given that I’m not tech saavy. It’s so easy for me to create livestream class schedules as well as on demand categories, challenges with guides, PDFs, fitness and nutrition plans, and so much more! My rep gets back to me quickly to answer or help with any questions I have. I know that Arketa has pivoted after the pandemic to accommodate in-person classes, and I've been super impressed that some of our requests for changes to the system have been made quickly. The functionality is exactly what we need for a small studio, and the price point can't be matched. Cons On occasions the software can have some glitches but the tech team are always improving and developing the software feedback is always welcome by the team. It allows me to take payments, schedule classes, workshops, and eventually my annual retreat. Everything is automated and I don't have to worry about sending out emails before each class or having to deal with credit cards, etc. I have been with Arketa for about a month and it has been great. Pros The depth of uses: classes, workshops, events, virtual classes, in person classes, it covers it all. It is relatively easy to use once you figure it out (and the onboarding sessions helped tremendously), and the support staff is great. If I can't find the answers I am looking for in their online articles, someone will get back to me typically within 24 hours. Cons Nothing is difficult to use per se, but some of the settings aren't as straightforward as they could be. Having multiple places to personalize emails is confusing. I can see the benefit of having multiple ways to address the same issue, but then you don't know which email is going out. Pros What I enjoyed most was the support and guidance I received in the process of building the app and the website. They understood my vision on the first try. They are there to provide support whenever needed and respond quickly. It is so important to have this support in order to run a business efficiently. Cons The major challenge I had is with the schedule for my studio. I spent a ton of time correcting because there is not a simple delete option for one class. Cons Some of the functionality is a little counter intuitive (going to Group Classes to schedule a private) but I know a lot of this is shifting with future updates. Each one is very upbeat and full of ideas that motivate me to keep going and growing. Pros Arketa is really easy to set up as the business owner/instructor, and also simple for students to use. I am a pretty basic user (a few classes and videos) but it has a lot of features that I might use in the future (challenges, personal scheduling) so it's great to know these features are already there. The team is super responsive if you need technical help, and I love the company's beliefs in creating a community of instructors and encouraging us to shine. There seems to be a community of people in the same boat rather than the aloof "other clients." So you feel like there's more than just customer service. The account management team is great and willing to hop on a quick call with you when needed and genuinely want to know how things are going. Pros The software is incredibly easy to learn. The UX is straight forward. There are informational meetings to be onboarded and documents to walk you through everything at your own pace. I started with Arketa as an individual teaching virtually and transitioned into their studio version of the platform. The transition was seamless and the UX didn't change. I do like that it's so new the team at Arketa is always asking what else studios need in order to function. You work with other people who know your business from the inside out and understand the requests. Cons Being a new software, there are a few things that are in the works and aren't always easily accessible. Sometimes there are a few "tricks" to get around problems while we wait for the actual solution to be built. Cons Currently Arketa syncs with Mailchimp, I am now using Kajabi and would love for the software to sync with Kajabi for email automations when new client join so I can ditch Mailchimp for good. Our customers love how easy it is for them to book classes and access our on demand library. Pros Unlike other platforms, Arketa offers extensive onboarding for studios to learn the software. Because of this our studio was able to have a seamless transition from Mindbody to Arketa. Not to mention the software is easy to use, especially from the client side. The website embeds make our studio website look professional and clients are able to navigate to our schedule or on demand library with ease. They also offer a custom app as an add-on that I highly recommend. Cons Adjusting to a new software always has it's challenges and there are growing pains. Sometimes the things you might expect aren't available yet, but they are constantly adding new features and updating the software to make the experience better for the studio and their clients. I am having a wonderful time seeing other instructor's showcase their styles and sharing my own with other people thanks to this platform. Pros I teach online as a profession so when a friend of mine suggested Sutra fitness as a way to teach a fitness class I had to check it out. The price is very low. I believe it was $25.00 a month for membership. You do not even have to have a website because they will help you set it up. It is pretty user friendly but if you are really struggling to come up with ideas on how to conduct your class, you can download the app by just submitting your phone number. Then Simply log in to other instructor's classes and get a feel for what online fitness instruction should look like. Each instructor get a fresh looking profile to show off their personal style. This is really a modern solution to people who are to busy to commit to a gym membership. For people like myself who find E-learning the future of education this is a perfect way to add another instructional class to my life without having to leave home. Pros The customer service can't be beat and they are in the process of upgrading to add new features constantly. It's been really intuitive to use for the most part and I have been able to reach customer support whenever I needed. They are all curteous and super helpful. Also, this system keeps students on your website rather than leaving to go to their platform. It's great. Cons Haven't found anything I don't like yet. Reason for choosing Arketa Less expensive for us...costs are shared with students who pay a minor processing fee at checkout so our monthly cost is reasonable.
