Showmetry provides organizers a platform to run hybrid and virtual tradeshows and conferences. Their full-service offering is geared to let organizers focus on selling their show, and not get overwhelmed with the tech. They do not charge for the number of attendees, just the number of show days, the number of exhibitor booths, and the number of presentations. The Showmetry Team was great to work with. Their attention to detail and effective was like being home. There was no pretense in anything that they did. They are real people who cared about what we needed, how we needed it and when we needed it and nothing was sugar coated. I cannot say enough about \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], the Senior Project Manager, who was our liaison with the people working to build this site for us. I still wonder if they actually existed or if \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] just did everything on his own. If they are real, the fact that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] could listen to what was being asked, translate that into something of meaning and relay it to those people in a way that made sense to them, is beyond me.

Pros

What I liked most about the software was the look, style and ease of use, as an event director and an attendee. Many of the platforms we looked at were impersonal and had a video game or robotic type feel to them. The Showmetry platform looked like our live events in style, function and features. The fact that it could be customized with our branding, wording and colors was a great benefit. Having effective attendee engagement was a big concern going into this, but with the exhibitor booths, live demos, class sessions and chat features, it was almost like running a show in person. It was definitely a lot cheaper that running a live event; for us as well as the exhibitors. We were able bring in brands that could never afford to come to a show before due to all the costs involved with shipping freight, flights, lodging, etc. It really puts the cost of running events into perspective. I was impressed with what was achieved in record breaking time as well as where it has the ability to go. Our show was an online virtual event; but the option of doing a hybrid event is really intriguing. It opens the doors for so many more people to participate, both brands and consumers. I can't image going back to doing only in-person shows. I feel like you would lose half of your demographic and really disappoint people. The potential reach in hybrid is unparalleled.

Cons

As the software was still in development; it was difficult to deal with the glitches, lag time and time constraints involved in waiting for the features that we needed to be deployed. We were constantly needing changes to be done that we didn't realize we would need when we started. It was a learning curve for us as well as our exhibitors. Fortunately, we had very loyal and patient brands that had been with us for years and were willing to work with us to get this platform done so we could have a way to connect the brands with the consumers. This was new to all of us and we were struggling to find a way. I don't think I will ever comprehend what it takes to build something like this.

Pros

I can’t believe how easy it was to use to customize my pages! The options are well laid out with great ease. Customer support is also top notch. They were able to walk me through the process with ease.

Cons

There really isn’t anything that I didn’t like about this software. It functioned as expected.

Experience with the Showmetry Team and Staff was seamless. They are readily available to help and provide solutions to any problem.

Pros

Features offered for vendors is impressive. It is similar to an online shopping store. It's a very innovative way for vendors to be marketing their products online.

Cons

Registration features can be confusing and need some development.

Provides a platform for running shows without breaking the bank. A great insurance policy for Covid-times, and a way to expand reach for our shows globally.

Pros

Focuses on the exhibitor-attendee interaction. Closest to the "real" experience by cleverly utilizing video conferencing at the right points. Definitely the best platform for a virtual mobile experience with booths. No additional charges for bringing in attendees, so it is the cheapest platform for large shows.

Cons

More social events on the platform will be great.
